Beatrice, Daryl and I had our usual monday evening training in the gym. I was a really cool session :) Daryl hit his first Magellan. Beatrice started learning osis. And I hit some new stuff: Blender and Spinning Clipper but both only on one side. I also did the Butterfly > Whirl combo 4 times in a row + I hit Osis > Whirl on both sides. AND I hit one Blurry Whirl in the locker room ;) Whirls are really my favorite trick right now. I ahve to drill them over and over...

Word ! Today' training session was fucking brilliant
Actually i didnt expected it to be that much fun, because today
i had my first day back at work after a 10day holiday, plus i
felt feverish and shaky, being caught between flu and
a mad hangover . But when i spotted Bea and Max shining,
i couldnt wait to join in.
Just a few mins after the warm up, i asked Max about
magelan, he showed me, explained it to me, and bamm !-
a couple of tries later, i hit my first same leg double dex
:) I couldnt believe it, what a feeling...i wanna own that mother.
To my surprise i got props for my illusions, for being clean
and all up time !
Then i tried some spinning and ducking...feels good, but
needs a lotta work from my side though
Bea worked hard on her infinities and started to learn osis;
she seemed to be a little frustrated, but with her determination
and her great learning abilty, she will have 'em locked down soon .
None of us did a long run, this was more like a drilling session,
but this guy hit some kool whirl combos
and a superclean blurry whirl in the changing room .
It was a shame that bjoern couldnt be there today, but apart from
that, tonight was as sweet as a nut !

I'm so excited about shredding and i slowly beginn to understand...
this sport is so great and its beauty and its possibilities are inexhaustible

I'm lazy lazy lazy.

Haven't been playing for 3 weeks, and last week we had a great
recovery session in the gym with Grischa, Max, Bea and Daryl.
I hit Ripwalk>Ripwalk for the first time, and my first 4>4>4 sick 3:
Blur>Dimwalk>Torque. The session was pretty good.

Last thursday Mike from Landshut came down, we had 2 sessions,
one at 1-3:30 in the morning, totally drunk and stoned, in my room,
but the session turned out to be pretty good. We were skooling the
Ryan-style superlow alternating toestalls, and I pushed myself up to
41, including some insides. this is fun!

Now I'm feeling my calf again. This sucks major aXX, as I thought
it'd be okay since last week.

I hate my calf. One week it was perfectly healed and I was drilling
stepping sets like crazy, and now it's all back to zero. However, I can't
stop shredding (now, that I have edited the Vasek-Raw video and watched
it over and over, even less..).

I'll concentrate on my osis, and practice easy stuff like flappers and
such. Damn injuries.

Salaam !

I started to freestyle properly on the 29th of august, and first of all,
i want to thank my team mates bea, max and bjoern, who got
me back on track, for all the joy i'm experiencing right now.
After periods of kicking around and doing only a few cheap tricks and
even a couple of years with out a bag in my life, i can finally enjoy
the interesting process of becoming, what i can become:
a well rounded, happy shreddy whirling dervish :D
To help myself to get there, i think a shred diary is one of the best
things besides practicing .

1.MOVES I HIT AT THE MOMENT
-atw
-mirage/illusion
-pick up/legover
-fairy/pixie
-pixie legover
-smear
-pixie pick up

2.WORKING ON
-2dex moves on flipside
-magellan
-clipper
-paradox mirage
-spinning
-ducking

3.GOALS (4NOW  )
-solid basics on both sides
-consecutive clippers
- butterfly/dimwalk
-whirl
-double legover
-symposium mirage

GETTING RID OF THAT F*=§ED TOE STALL/
BEING TILTLESS

Feel free to post , brothers and sisters !

What a day, what a day !

As it is often in life, things turn out way different then you've
planned them. Max had to work on the renovation of his
family's house, so Bea and him couldn't shred with us
But what really bugged me, was that Bjoern couldn't play
like he desired to, because of his calf problems.
If anyone outthere suffered from the same injury, pls
let me know how you cured it.
Nevertheless he managed to hit 7 alternating ducking
clippers :)

As for my goals, i didnt achieve 'em all of course, but i drilled
the basics and i was able to improve my flipside dexing, which
led to a very satisfying flpside pixie legover.
Bjoern showed me how to do the quick/very low Vasek style
toestalls, and i quickly picked up the tech ( nice for a warm up,
btw ). Thx for all the dexing advice too.
My goodside pixie set got a little higher too, and i could
do decent consecutive mirages/ legovers on both sides.
A couple of pretty clean goodside smears and a single magelan
at the and of the session, and then i had to go to work...
It wasn't the most intense or groundbreaking session, but
it isn't xmas everyday 8) .

Daryl and I had an nice 2 1/2 hour session at our new house here in Munich. Theres no furniture in there yet, so we had a good spot right in our future dinning room :) There was an oldies special in the radio so we played from the 50's straight to the 80's =)
We mostly drilled stuff. I hit no new trick but some combos.
Toe flipside dlo > toe flipside dlo. Dimwalk > Ripwalk > Bur (attempt) and a 6 contacts guiltless string: Pixie Legover > Pixie Legover > Symp. Mirage > Butterfly > Butterfly > Ripwalk + I hit 13 Infinities ;)
Our session was dedicated to Bjoerns health!

Thanks guys for the kind words. Paul called me yesterday. We should
hook up with him soon!

Since I'm injured, all I do from time to time are clipper>flapper combos
on the strong side, which are getting more consistant. I've never done
flappers before, so this is kinda new to me, but fun!

Yesterday Max and me had 2hr30min
power session. Most of it was drilling, i was working on my basics and on my flipside pixie set and Max
practiced 6 contact guiltless strings.
After that i was working on my goals
and i ended up hitting magellan more
easily, did my first paradox mirages and i finally managed to hit 2  consecutve clippers ( twice !) At the end of the shred i managed
toe ducking and toe spinning, and i hit a rushed, but clean flipside pixie legover ! it was a very intense one, i'm excited to see, what happens next :P

Paul did some crazy stuff: Inside Set Fariy Rake, Spinning CLipper > Spinning Osis, Peeking Osis. More tomorrow.

Now that I've archived all the old posts, I'll start off commenting on
the regular monday gym shred session:

Players:
Max
Bea
Bjoern
Daryl
Paul

I'm still injured, so playing was kinda hard for me. I played low, however
did some good stuff.
Flapper>Osis
Smear>Parkwalk>almost Ripwalk
2 Torques in one run
58 legovers (gotta develop some stamina, I was exhausted after this!!)
Pixie Dyno
Clip set DLO>DLO

Max, Daryl, Paul and Bea played like crazy. They're getting better
everytime we shred.

First of all, i'm glad we have a crew blog now,
where both individual progress and the developement
of the whole team can be recorded. 8)

Monday's shred was remarkeble in many ways for me.
I finally met Paul Krüger, a footbag player from the
states, who's skills are featured on the august 04 vid
on our website. I liked him on that video, but on monday
he was properly killing it, great tricks and a unique style !
Hopefully we shoot a new vid, before he goes back home.

I was also glad about Bjoern shredding with us, despite of his
injury, and yes, the man was hitting hard. Read his last post
and you know, where i'm comming from !
Beatrice ! What can i say, when you open up the german dictionary
for the word "learning ability", you'll see her picture. The girl hit
dimwalk bsos ( twice ) and a parkwalk, i guess...
Well, and Max hit his first 4-4-4 combo : dimwalk>ripwalk>blur
:D
And me ? I was more like hmmm, run wise, but practice
was going well ! The clipper thing is making sense to me now,
and i increased my consecutive record up to 3  .
The reward was my first two alternating clippers and an unexpected
pixie clipper first try, and i managed to hit it more often later on.
After one hour of mainly clipper drilling, my legs were a little heavy,
so my runs were shite and my pixie moves rarly successful
For the next time, there be a lotta drilling-all-basics from my side!
But the session was fun anyway and it was a pleasure to see all that
good stuff being hit .

I know there is a challenge section, but I thought I could as well post
it here.

Here's some stuff for your next session:

Max, I challenge you to hit Ripwalk>DLO>Dimwalk (repeat).

Daryl, I challenge you to hit Mirage>Legover>ATW in-out>Illusion>Pickup>ss mirage (repeat?), as well as 4 alternating clippers.

Bea, I challenge you to hit Butterfly>ss Clipper>op Clipper>
ss Clipper>Pdx Mirage>Legover>ATW>Dimwalk>op Clipper (repeat?)

Good luck!

It happened again ; i just finished the last line
of my latest, lengthy, over-exited post and erased it, after
30 min of letting it all out.
Well i hope this one in more on point, at least ...
I wasnt too impressed with my performance on monday, because
of my crap runs and when i told Bjoern about it, he advised me
allways to try to get thebest out of a session.

When i thought about it form that perspective, i rembered the
pleasant surprise, when that pixie clipper kinda just "came to me"
that day.
It was all due to intense drilling of clippers and pixie in general,
so again, i learned, that solid basics usually lead to good results at a
later stage of learning.
Of course, that also goes for runs, and like so
i came up with a training schedule, that deals with all basics, pixie
exercise, ducking, spinning and new move practice.
Today i worked with it the first time, and it helped me a great deal .
I managed to hit flipside pixie legover twice as an opening move

The basics beginn to feel safer, and my better moves like magellan,
pixie legover, smear, pixie clipper and paradox mirage are cleaner ,
more controlled and more often hit.
And i reached one of my first little goals too : i hit pixie legover
and smear midrun, and not only once .
I was so glad, because today was the first time ever that i double
dexed in midstring !

What else ? Bea hit parkwalk again, she also worked on stepping and
on the challenge, that Bjoern gave her. There also was some double
legover practice, and i have a sneaking suspicion, that Bea will hit it
before i do...
Max was all about osis/butterfly/clipper combos in the first half, later
on he gave a whole lotta love to his stepping set, which lead to his
second 5add move : stepping symposium paradox mirage 8) !
And Bjoern, i'll try your challenge next time for sure ( couldnt do so
today, cause my internet was down until now and so i didnt read it)
GET WELL !!! WE NEED YOU AND YOUR TORQUES !!!

Bea, Daryl and I had an session in our house. For me the session was quite disapointing, despite hitting flip spinning clipper for the first time and I was close to spinning clipper > spinning clipper. But my runs suck and my pixie set didn't work at all.
But Daryl and Bea rocked... Daryls runs got longer and longer. He hit pixie legover and smear both midrun and his average contacts sure are going up.
And Beatrice just left us two guys shocked when she hti her first Ripwalk m i d r u n! + she was close to hit it also with the other foot. But she wants to learn a clean stepping set first before rushing for ripwalks, wich are imo easier than sidewalks. Now I'm excited to play withPaul again today in the gym, cause he leaves for the USA again tomorrow.

Yeah, the session on sunday was really doing it for me.
I could execute most of my "better" moves midrun and i
managed to hit pixie legover bsos for the first time :)
Working with my training schedule to school the
basics is the way forward to me at the moment .
Unfortunatly, i wasnt able to attend our monday session
because i had to work at concert, but i hope that you
guys were filming sum runs and all that good sh*t...
Cant wait till thursday :P

Please post how it went in the gym, not that i get a
heart attack next time we meet and Bea suddenly
busts symposium whirls and the like

The regular Monday Gym Session.

Players: Max, Bea, Bjoern, Mike, Paul.

I was playing, even though I'm STILL having troubles with my calf.
Anyhow, it went pretty good that evening, I hardly felt it, and could
bust hard. My runs weren't too good, but I was going for some bigger
stuff today.

I hit:

Paradox Drifter!

Came close to two new 4>4>4's:
Dimwalk>Ducking Butterfly>Ripwalk rolled off
Parkwalk>Ducking Butterfly>nearly Torque :)

as well as 1/6th of the challenge I gave Max:
Ripwalk>DLO

Oh yeah, at the end of the session, when everyone was stretching out
already, I went for an old enemy of mine, the Eggbeater. 10-15 tries,
and I got it. After that I hit at least 15+ Eggbeaters, all of which I
consider clean. I even hit 3 Eggbeaters in pants after the session!
And I came close to Bubbabeater as well. Woah! Intense session.

Bea hit two more Ripwalks midrun, Mike and me hit a clean Phoenix,
I hit Assassin (Pixie ducking Mirage), Mike hit his first ever Ripwalk,
as well as Dimwalk>Ripwalk, and he hit Pixie Ducking Xbd Rake!
Max had some nice runs, one of them with symp mirage>flail midrun!
Paul was unique in his style as usual, and he hit some big stuff, something
like Spinning Butterfly>spinning refraction>Spinning osis or something,
and Dimwalk>Torque>Torque. Paul, if you read this, correct me if I'm
wrong.

Today, I was at the doctor because of my calf. After waiting for 1 1/2
hours, he looked at it and said it's difficult to tell what it is, but to make
sure it's a muscular injury, I have to go to another doctor next week
to have my veins checked. Well.
