is footbag dangerous?

Just be careful doing barflys.

You can accidently kick some things that are in the way of your foot during the first dex...

And we all know that does not feel pleasant, I know from experience.

Yeah It happened to me once...and I didn't do any barfly for several months

But now I'm trying to have them again...

If you're careful you shouldn't injure yourself too much I think....

I kicked another guy in the face last week. We were playing 4 square and we voted a rule in where the player with the lowest score could spike. They guy kicked it high and it was headed to my square but still close to the line. He had the lowest score and I knew he was setting up to spike on me since I was in the server square. I figured my only chance was to get to it before he could kick it. So thrust my leg straight up to try and kick it with the sole of my foot... at the same time he tried to head spike it.

WHAM!!!

... right in the middle of his forehead. Now, I'm only 5' 4" and he's a good 6 inches taller than me. So you can imagine how ridiculous this must have looked. He fell backwards on his ass and was sitting down for a few minutes before he got up. I apologized and we shook hands. Dammit. In my first 14 years of kicking a footbag I had a spotless record of never kicking anyone accidentally. This year I've kicked 2 people playing 4 square where spikes were allowed.

Moral of the story:
Please don't head spike on Zeke.
