Yooooooooooooooi Carlitos !

Nice to see you post in here, last page feels like home with so many footbag mates on one page :D .
Maby you can hook your buddies up with some photos of your latest adventures ! I miss you dude, and i'm not the only one ...

I'm really in love with footbag at the moment - i got a good balance of sheer
joy whilst playing and cold stare analysis of all my weaknessness, which
leads to progress, and a new wave of confidence and a good head for
experimenting .
At the moment i have to stay away from double downs and whirls, so i
tried some torques - heaps easier with the Anssi meth - and continued
the struggle with my two recent death combos . I didnt hit them
( always that last move missing ..), but i still feel that i'm getting
closer to my goals nonetheless.
I really want to be good at the trix involved, so that i can use them midrun more,
or link them with harder shit unannounced - and the quest doesnt start
and stop with hitting certain drills once.

I'm getting the hang of drifters finally, and thanks to lord and his
creation - the osis - i can still play out of it when pdx mirage or
ducking clippers are off duty or something.

Also strong symple swirl and "flip"quantum are getting into shape, i
almost hit one of the recent death combos - toeblurx2>atomx2 from
theother side - but i felt too confident middrill and slopped the last and
crucial stall..maby i can hit that tomorrow.

pixie butterfly swirl - if hit that before, but this one was like supatight :P

diving clipper>drifter rpt first try - completly unexspected

butter>drifter>osis>pdx mirage>rpt>string :D ! - see above

tapping legover>quantumlegover bsos

some good shots at rev up and spinning ducking whirl

Twisted session

Last time i played was friday - since then, my bad foot is out of order,
and i cant play at all . Well, at least for a coupla days, walking seems fine
and i dont have to work until saturday, so things look good for a quick
heal up - be that is may, todexon 9 is dead to me now, second in a row,
mind you !

That said, let me tell you how it happened . After a ironically great
warm up and a stretch, i felt like trying some new combos that felt
good in my mind . The last one did only feel good there -
atom>paste>paradon is a neat combo, but the fun stops, when
landing on the side of your dexing foot, cause the support-leg-to-be
pushed it right to the ground .
in short, it was a double downing xbd stallberger without a bag involved.

I hope i be back on sunday .

Great to hear that my tips help for Torque. Can you do Whirls again? How are your flip Pdx Whirls?

I recovered earlier than i thought and had a fat session with Andi and
Beatrix on friday. We had a lot of fun and made a marvellous discovery
in the form of super keen boy wonder .
We were shredding away, and three boys were watching closely .
Its going well, and we all hit some good runs, laughing, high-fiving,
when this boy steps up, adressing Andi, if he might try aswell .

To me, it must have been Bea hitting pixie muted clip>ducking clip,
that charmed him. He picks the bag up courteously, checks it out
and some ten minutes later, he hit both atws, legovers, a clean illusion,
plus there also was a kick over the head caught in a pincher 8O !
Insane . And the comments that he made : "this one is sooo much
better than the hacky sacks that i know " - after checking out a Tinabag,
but the koolest thing that he said was : " this is fun" !

That is not exactly the most common comment by a noob, and the
hacky sack graveyards are full of unhappy beginners that quit .

We all exchanged email adresses, and hopefully we can motivate
this kiddo to get really fuckin awesome at footbag .

As for myself, i continue to be on a roll, and not being able to whirl
as much as i wanted put aside, this was easily one of the top 5 sessions
runwise .
All the continued work on basics pays off nicely, and i had
some fat long runs . I play a lot more relaxed and intuitivly, less
anxious and crampy, if i drop, its mostly due to technical errors, not
to fatigue or "miscalculation". The recent clipper/bop workouts gave
me a lot of stability, both in general form aswell as in having something
to fall back on for recovery after toe to toe onslaughts  .

I didnt drill much that day, some torques, atomic, swirls - note to self : stop ingnoring stepping !

tap>tapping legover>rpt>string

tap>tapping leg bsos

atomsmasher>atomic muted clipper>symple swirl

atom>paste>paradon

legbeater>ducking osis

paradon>whirl>pdx mirage>para>whirl

Alpine Legbeater

toeblur>smear>tap>dlo>ducking leg>dlo>14 + contacts

another 20 + run with both whirls, dlos, taps, a paradon, osis>d.clip>
spin clip, atomsmasher, drifter

i also get better at pixie butterfly swirl :D

Right now, i feel that it is a shame that i can only play once a week atm.
It would be nice to have more sessions for consolidations' sake, since
i been on a good streak i'd like to keep it that way .

Wow, do i feel cofused right now - happiness by being spent meets
heavy internal criticism ... i kinda revisited a lot of my old mistakes
like not making my mind up on what i want from this sesh ;
jumping from concept to concept ; complaining about the lack of
attention by others, while i should focus on my own shiznik ; then,
the equasion of death :
thinking too much>trying too hard>being too sure -
all of that crap was nicely topped off by having a mind/body connection failliure

anyways, every cloud...

butter>pdx tap>rpt ( missed the handcatch tho )

dlo>dmir>dleg>rpt>string

dmir>toe blur>dmir>atom

tapping legover>assasin . that felt hardcore and rad fo some reason ...

some ok strings, altho they felt uninspired and were definitly shorter than in the last sessions

the koolest thing for me was getting a grip on nuclear again, helping Bea to hit para both sides, and finally giving some housewifes a bit of
a show :P

Footbag fucking rocks - at least thats what Asmus, Dazza and Lise believe :P

I avoided all my boring traps and had a real fun and productive session
with my sexy accomplice Beatrix . We killed tiltess . If any of those
talented kids in a rush to get crazy good read this, today, after 3,5 years
of sweat i can proudly say that i dont have a flip mirage anymore  .

One warm up run felt especially great . I hit a whole army of consecutive flip mirages
to ss mirage>to the same number of str mirages, then i messed around
with some 10 toe tiltless. Instead of stopping and restarting with clippers,
i continued with them .
I was surprised that i had the wits and the stamina.
When the latter was about to leave me, i did threw some dclips in the mix.
That helped me recover, and i hit some more clippers, ending the drill
in, what felt kinda heroic at the time, symple swirl :D.
Long tiltless runs arent excatly the thing to brag around, or even to
desribe in all the painful details, but it feels good to be in control -
i hope i can transfer this "kill-at-will" method onto a higher plain !

I had a similar experience with a strong bop/sp/dclip run .

When warm up was done, i was working on flip tap, dlos
and toe ducking. After that, i switched to downtime .
Spin clip>drifter, drifter>osis>d.clip, whirl, barfly ( i work on those
instead of pdx whirls ) and torque.

dlo>d.mirage>dlo>d.legover>rpt>string - thanx Szymon ! first try, so fun :D

tap>ss dlo>rpt>small combo

toe blur>ducking mirage>rpt>string
on my other side

a run with tap>atomic leg and atomsmasher bsos, tapping leg, dlo bsos

tap>dmir>rpt on flip ; dlox5 strong

gyro pick up bsos after a long time ignoring that hottie

some long and controlled runs ( 16-20+)

I plan on getting the toe trick ratio in my runs a little more even,
and i wanna use para, whirl and drifter more confidently - just
because i can . When i have a certain control over these basics,
i will return to my source and draft all my manifold underused trix
like spinning mirage, stepping gyro toe, toe shmoe and so on .

I look forward to wednesday :D

Nice little crew shred tonite . Bea was there, hungover, and her bro Max
also made it . Damm, i havent seen this guy in like 1.5 months -
and although he hardly ever plays, he was far from rusty and surprised
us with some nice links midstring . Bea was in a similar position like
me : not playing her best, but the eternal will to fight made some
good runs happen .

I was feeling a bit uncotrolled and my creativity was low, but i worked it out and played ok towards the end .

best run : tap>d.mirage>butter>pdx mir>rpt>butter>d.clip>d.clip>pdx mir>
smear>plo>dlo>butter>drifter>osis>pdx mirage

new trick : my first flip triple dex :D - tapping dlo, and the little Andrew Grant
in me made sure i hit it a few times more

best link : tapping pick up>slapping legover>smear>small combo

best tripless : atom>toe blur> butterfly swirl

nu pb : flip dlo x5 :D

Solo Shred

i gotta work/use whirl, paradon, drifter and the like EVERY SESSION -
did so today, good fun and a peek into the world of flow :D

besides that i was working on both skullsmashers for a bit - there are
too many tricks - especially the harder ones - that become unlucky
victims of neglegence after being hit a coupla times.

it felt kool to finally play a little more creativly, to me there are 3 ways
of doing so, and today i managed to do a a fair portion of each .
the runs began with different/underused trix and links, i bsosed ideas
instead of trix( dso/para, gyro mir/spin mir) and i made the links up as
i moved along .
as a side effect, most runs were a bit short today ( 10-15), i hope
i can get them longer the next times, without them becoming robotic...

new trick : pixie muted rake - feels good, but it needs a speedy follow up,
toe blur maby, or a raging toe gyro mirage ?

new links : pixie muted clip>drifter bs - wanted to add spinning osis, but
no avail .

best run : short run with dps mirage and pixie butterfly swirl :D
never hit pbswirl midstring before...now i gotta play out of it !

best link : gyro pick up>paradon both sides -
that was kinda tricky, actually . showed me again how
important it is to hit the first trick in a "hard" link well .

whats up guys ?

a lot of views, hardly any replies, tips, questions, insults, nude photos
or suggestions how to improve my vietnamese cooking skills  ...

I'm the middle of final exam preperation, and the first test - latin -
is only three weeks away. Thus the lack of shred and general lust
to browse modified.
To me, living quasi shredless ( i.e. playing once a week ) is painful
and strange, so even if yesterdays session was short and full of strugglin,
it felt crazy good to lash out them blades and to release some tension .

i skooled flip toe, mainly taps and basic pixie . some toe2toe mirror
combos bsos, five toe shuffle both sides, nothing exiting.
In the middle of this flip toe clean up, i thought about the possibility of
flip assasin for the first time . I hit a couple of good ones, and a lot of awkward,
debatable ones. Also into runs, which surprised me, and so
damm close to bsos, which annoyed me  .

In short :

new trick - flp assasin

best link - atomsmasher>pixie muted ss clip>pdx drifter

best run - skullsmasher>string - so much better than a handcatch

best "almost" - atomic drifter - no seal, no deal...

:D i bloody hope so ! just finished studying 4 2nite, i find myself in a parallel
reality where things are reversed : shredding seems to be not helpful
as a stress reliever anymore, but studying history and getting into
the early heavy duty boys of fotography calms me .

The last two times that i've played felt like as if i had to work twice
as hard for half the result. Like i have no strenght and poor control,
i know thats just a phase, and with certain upgrades in the time-health-
attitude department, things will be back on track soon enuff.

But the "wait" is hard and i got big plans fo dis season, two more
problems assisting my narcicistic and self-critical tendencies

I feel weird about being impatient and ambitious in footbag,
and i feel stronger than those butterflies and paradons who
try to wrestle with me !

best shuffle : smear>tap>plo>rpt>string with ducks for a theme

new tripless : alpha tapping pick up>toe blur>ducking butter

new link : toe shmoe b2b>smear

Yo Dude ! i got another one for you -

ducking dlo
( toe and pdx from clip) .

today it was so nice out, i just couldnt resist and had a small one hr sess .
It was mostly swirls - Matts tut is great btw - especially flip midtime and
strong symple (ss and op, mostly from toe ) .
Also did some toe whirls and a bit of flip pixie .

I hit tapping leg>tapping muted pick>ss symple swirl . Felt neat .

In a week, the two hard bits of my final exams will be done dealt with,
and i cant wait for mine, and especially YOUR comeback !

beta assassin
in a decent way

different fives into runs + general 5 consistency

xbody toe stepping op legover - is that called zoid-stepping ?

major breakthru with alt. toestalls whilst juggling a cascade ,
i tied my meager pb a million times today, and i might even upped
it by one or two....:D

getting closer to them nu milestones...

'twas a good day . i finally rid my self of the shocks - good and bad ones -
that disrupted my flow in the last 1,5 moths . no more exam stress,
no more flu-annoyance and the rain gods have decided to piss down only
half of the day !

i got up mad late and went for my first structured and disciplined
session in ages - when i managed to play lately, it was mostly
trying some weird trix, drilling swirl or footing ripstein a million times .

today i was a good boy and continued where i left off before things got
hectic, i.e, i warmed up, took time to stretch, did the obligatory clipper
and butterfly work and i focused on a small number of moves rather
than rushing thru everything .

lets see, i think todays theme was toe shuffle and symposium stuff,
and swirls in between to chillax .
frontside atom and tapping dlo are my favorite "hard" toe moves atm,
it feels good to use them more and to spent less energy while doing so;
my toes were good today, lots of tough links, good spontaneity
and bothsidedness, my flip pixie is getting back on track at last :P -
as soon this is done, i will go for stepping and nuklear analysis !

i really like working on form and consistency atm, hard, unusual links
have lost their charm in a way - i still do them, but i dont waste time on them .
Its much more important to me to weed out my weaknesses in the
basic department first and to perfect the stuff that i think i know .

i discovered that i have a flip frontside atomic set and went like that
:D because of it . i just love it when a newly learned element instantly finds its
way into the repertoire - i hit it at least over 20 times, some
of them into runs, bsos is only a couple of tries away .

best feeling : hitting long runs

nu mini links : muted magellan>muted tapping pick ; pixie m clip>swirl ;

new tricks : gyro ( non symple !) swirl ; flip frontside eggplant

best link : atomsmasher>frontside eggplant>smear>string

best shuffle : tap>atom>smear>tapping pick>plo>atomic leg>tap>string 8)

todays session started with me trying to get a better understanding
of gyro moves . although technically easy, g clipper is one difficult princess
of a trick - there are so many ways to go wrong, but when all the reqired elements
( stright set, early spot, timely clipper ) fall into place, it feels
almost painfully simple . i will practice those more, its an important keystone
to a lot of my favorite tricks .

the rest was skooling various symposium trix ( symp mirage, symp quantum, ps mirage,
flail, pdx flail, symp whirl, ps whirl, mullet )with some downtime stuff thrown in the mix
for relaxation .

new trix :

flip ps mirage

flail

pdx flail

i hit some ironical ps whirls and footed mullet a lot, gotta hit that 2morrow !

dude, we gotz a date 8)

boy, am i beat - it was a good one, but i'm almost too tired to be happy .
i skooled clippers, butters, bop, playing in and out of legbeaters,
whirl>drifter and atomic leg>tapping pick . over and over and again
and again my legs feel like jelly-lead  .

the few runs i did were in the ok department, as in good links/rhythm
but kinda short .

and i hit two new trix :

pixie ss dlo, sealed with a decent combo

and

:D :D :D rev up :D :D :D
