it was gyro grifter, much cooler :)

and gyro stepping butterfly not blazing. Can you upload that? I only did it so I could see it on video, see how clean it is :) (Be warned, it's probably terrible)

there will be some video of everyone, including caroline, soon :D
it was really good to shred with Caroline and Jamie as we don't see them every weekend so it's really refreshing to see some other styles. Everyone has improved heaps recently, Jamie was hitting some sick moves for the camera (see video below ;) ) Dan was hitting some new 7's, Alex has rediculously good superflies now, Scott's spinning and atomic set have improved heaps and Caroline learnt how to do legovers and hugely improved run length.

here's a video of Jamie and Dan shredding at spencer st. on 15th December

had a session with Scott and Dan today. Scott was hitting ripsteins, ripwalks out of swirls and doing long runs. Dan hit blurry whirling rake bs, some rev whirls, 7pdx drifters midrun, barfly swirl(close to blurriest swirl) some good pdx blenders/foods and good fearless links. I ended up playing for 5 hours, came close to ripstein, I'm the only mfc player who hasn't hit it now, LOL :D

had a shred session with Brendan and Dan, good to see Brendan again, his game is quite solid considering how little he has played recently. Dan was having a great session, he hit double blender for the first time, pinch set far whirl, pinch set far symp whirl first attempt ever and whirr>superfly>run. Shortly after I hit ducking pdx illusion for the first time Dan hit ducking pdx flail for the first time. Dan hit stepping ss pincher for the first time, shortly afterwards I hit stepping ss pincher for the first time, I still struggle badly with stepping. Brendan hit a nice spinning ducking tootsie roll, though I think he was going for spinning ducking butterfly.

Sweet!

I'll be down in Melbourne next week for Big Day Out. Still unsure of when I'll be available, if at all for shred. Sunday I won't be available at all, BDO all day. Saturday I'll hopefully be up for a shred :)

Session 2 2007

Post by ednie »

dear melbourne blog

sunday session report 2
28/1/07

total footbaggers: 5
Janis, Scott, Suyi (new player), Monsiur Yip (new player), dan

to begin we had john bye filming us and learning about footbag because he is making a dvd to sell with footbags in shops in sydney, but more on that as it develops.

circle kicking, then foursquare, then some time spent learnign toe delay with suyi and james yip, where both made wonderful progress. Big props to suyi who is the first girl we have had from melbourne ever, or at least in my memory. then we had two circles, one of freestyle with either janis and i or breifly scott and i. the third of scott janis and i helped our two new players

comments: totally fun, good to see such bright new players.
we missed both alexs and both pats, no brendan erskine either,
we really miss alex crowhurst because i wasnt able to bring the net in his abscence
overall a brilliant day
