Jason's status in Facebook is "I'm obsessed with footbag!" . . . he wrote that at 2:30am. I think we all know what that means. Late night hack session in his dorm hallway.

thought of an awesome link today coming back from class.
 whiz > ss whiz > rpt.
the transition between inside to ss whirling dex is just really appealing to me for some reason, especially if it was flowy and controlled.

An Ambiguous Business Proposal. Bag #4.

The group photo is as follows from left to right, bottom to top:

 slacky sack from my roommate he found in his basement and gave to me
 fire head slack sack from long ago in my circle kicking days. I was kind of into Offspring at the time so it appealed to me in many ways.
 blue and green Tough Twelve from Ben Rea. Incredibly broken in. A nice shred experience.
 footfighter mini (amaretta) just died. It was really good though.
 spikey Tough Twelve I'm not sure Ben remembers leaving at our last mall session.
 My lovely little Mosher bag I got at Wakahakee. Can't believe it's still around. It's the only shreddable bag I have. I'm treating it like gold right now so it can last until GRASS or until I can stitch a good bag.
 my newest. #4.
 #2. I forgot what I named it. It's listed in the last page. It's broken.
 Mr. Green. My #3. Its last stitch broke. Aw. I still really like it. I may seal it just so I can carry it around with me and comfort me.

and there ya have it. I didn't take a picture of my wii or my shoes. I could. The camera's still right here. I gots other things to do though so I'm off.

oh and sorry about the shit quality. I didn't know how to work the focus. It wasn't doing it on its own.

the fire sack is sweet.
your stitching looks pretty good already.

So I can buy one from you in Prague. ;)

Props for getting pixie down!

and that skippy peanut butter ain't lookin too bad, eh? It's my late-night snack jar. Disgusting, but I'm American so it's allowed.

Bad economics class (again). . I really need to kick a footbag around. But i can't - loads o' work.

pppppps: I have an idea for colors for a new bag so I may start that tomorrow afternoon after classes and it's the weekend. 8) Light blue and black . . I'm gonna call it Blue Balls.

oh and I forgot to mention I almost hit massacre the last time I played. It was suppose to be a midstring eggbeater but I overshot the second dex and it got footed on my other foot. I was like wee.

had some energy. Had some joint springiness because of lack of serious shred since Jason and Forrest have been coming to sessions.

So?

Today has been declared a footbaggy day.

Session at the gym. 2 hr.
 symposium drifter ( @ Asmus :P )
 drifters were crazy delicious and hit vertigo midstring as well as drifter daze (drifter>pdx drifter > rpt) - not new. Just waaay more relaxed than usual.
 torque > dlo bsos . Torques are getting much better on my flip after two years. grr.
 first DDD in units first try. So this sent me on some double downing runs. : : : barfly and paradon in one string. DOD, terrage, and paradon in another.
 stepping far symple legover and pogo far symple (full?) legover all bsos  .
 Asmus' challenge of atomic muted clipper > pandora rpt. I had never done this before and hadn't schooled atomic muted clipper in a while so it took a while to hit this unfortunately. But it was struck.

and those were the real tricky highlights. But in general this session was just super stylie and really nice and controlled. I hit a new record for BOP first try (which makes me think I may be able to do better) with 40. I dropped because I tossed the bag too far in front of me after a pdx mirage and panicked into a clipper bail.

Soo yeah. A good first session. Legs are feeling pretty good. I stretched it out quite a bit and drank a bit of water during and after. I ate dinner just now and I'm suffering from what I like to call The Shredded Gorging Kick in the Balls. Where you shred hard for a while and then eat a lot right after. Not sure what it is. Metabolism is on overdrive from footbag and you dump a whole lot of food into a pseudo empty stomach and my body just flips out and something walked down into my nether region and kicks me in the balls. Not fun. So I'm surfing modified and drinking water and recovering from FGKB before I watch some TV and game and shred some more with people.

Jason's with his parents and Forrest is working but I'm sure they'll want to late-night shred when we get together.

I wanted to talk about my latest thoughts on how I perceive footbag in my life right now but this has already gone on too long and I don't think it's anything new. Just a little nostalgic right now. So that means I should go to collegehumor and watch some dumb funny videos and wipe my mind of all that is serious and sentimental.

write in my blog. . . new people! What do you think of me!?!?! Challenge me? Who's going to GRASS!?

oh shit. Just remembered. Matt Kemmer is coming to Siena this weekend. Damn that's going to be cool. Never met him before. Ugh. Already said that. But I'm looking forward to shredding with him and getting PWNED footbagilogically.

peace

My laptop overheated and froze up while watching a streaming shred from zeroman. :x So I called Forrest and we sat in front of the tv for a while and then went on Google Earth to look at Greece, his home in NM, and where I stayed in Ireland.

@ doug - my whole life is a race around the world. I'm just currently lost in Albany. It's a tricky little jungle. A CONCRETE JUNGLE! Oooo, think about that!

@ asmus - no you don't post in here "too much". I feel the same way as you. If I post for like four in a row I get anxious that no one reads this. I haven't even looked at how many reads I have for a while. Usually I just click the latest page when I see someone's posted.

@ ben - OMG OLLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOlz - I skated in fuzzy slippers once at my friend's graduation party. And then we hacked in fuzzy slippers too. And then we watched Band of Brothers and ate cake while in fuzzy slippers. We all had fuzzy slippers. I borrowed my mom's from when I was 6. I couldn't believe she still had them. They weren't pink, unfortunately.

thoughts:
 Mythbusters is one of the best shows on television, and perhaps in the last decade.
 I hope Green Day's new album will be punk and not um. . well you know. What they've been doing for the past 6 years.
 My new bag will have green and zebra pents and light blue black hexes. 8)

FOOTBAG - -

I'm going to get some lunch, then hop in the car and get a new shredding tshirt :P . Jason has a cheez-its shirt he's claimed as a shred shirt. Forest has this marines shirt. And My switches between my black NOFX shirt, my home-made Minor Threat shirt, and the Shredi shirt I got from Flipsider. But I need to get a corny shirt so I can express myself through fashion while I play hacky sack.

Sesh'd. Didn't play with the bag I made this time.

- t'was fun -

My highlights -
 legbeater > blur > dimwalk > nuclear set to hand catch :?
 came soooo close to ducking atomic both sides
 long guiltless run pretty variously spread out with calmified ducking legovers in which a smear > dimwalk (sooo cliche) was hit after one.
 10 or more contact string with a lot of toe to toe. Jason - "What the hell, Pat?" afterwards. Meh. Iz gettin used to the g-units.
 flipside blurry whirl first try on command from these people who asked me what my hardest trick was. Sooo I just hit a trick that was hard for me. I hate trying to dish out reactor or ps whirl or something like that when I get asked these questions so I just try things that are hard FOR ME.

overall a really good session again with string length and variety. I'm guessing I could make a push for some harder links soon.

Jason's highlights -
 more and more control over kicks. Much more often than not he can hit the bag three times easily. But often does more.
 footed atw at least three times
 footed mirage quite a bit 8O
 toe stall b2b x4 8O again
 he learned to juggle. . . .

Forrest's highlights -
 toe stall b2b
 footed mirage
 new consecutive record but we didn't count. I was just watching on in awe.

quote of the session - "Holy shit I'm JUGGLING!" - Jason
footbag quote of the day - "Coffee is epic" - The BatMoose

 it's so cool to have people excited to play
 they need to get better shoes
 Jason knows about modified so I wouldn't be surprised to see him getting a name here soon

Bill Nye would've made a really good footbag player. And he'd teach us fun facts about tectonic plates in between him getting the bag.

one must fall on his own sword if ever he is to forget Nye Labs.

just had dinner. Called Matt and he was going to eat too. We'll be playing pretty soon hopefully.

footbag on a full stomach. MmMmmMmm. This should turn out just as well as have a large meal at Arby's just before a hard session with Greg Pestillo this past summer.

I'm looking forward to it.

I'm writing a post now because I don't think Matt and I will play again tomorrow. His dumb visitor's tours and activities and all that get done at 2 and I have to drive my car to a shop at 1. . soo a bit of an overlap. Not sure if he wants to stay on campus for an extra x number of hours. I'll call him either way to see what he wants to do. He seems to be having a fine time playing mario kart with his host people(s).

yeah so the session.

me = :oops:

Matt is good at footbag. He's been play for what - 2 years? Man he's got precision. He hit janiwalker and it was definitely one of the nicest I've seen (granted I've only seen a few in person anyway). Laser guided barraging set. And his stepping shuffle is right on. Very drilly, but he makes it exciting because he'll be doing intense drills like whirl war II and blender > blur > legbeater > rpt and stuff and I'm like 8O . Quantums are his friends too. Very cool.

Me? oh well you know. I had a nice warmup and some more interesting long runs in the beginning but when I started to play for real I realized that I just couldn't get a handle on his bag. Stepping was awkward and I was afraid to do much toe2toe stuff. Whirls were on, ducking and spinning and everything was on. All my crazy symple stuff was fine. But man alive if my atomic and pixie and flip stepping wasn't kicking my face in with its boots of irony and destruction (yeah they have that).

I'm glad I met Matt. He seems like a real cool kid. He games. He's good at footbag. I wish him the best in all his missions to schools. He'll do great. Hope he finds a place that has players near by. That's a talent I think we'd all hate to see be put on a back burner because of college distractions and stuff.

As a side note I think this session with Matt has really pissed me off about myself (again) and it's time to get serious for a spell. Like Cale I shall go into hardcore training from now till GRASS. Some serious stuff needs to be tied up in my game that doesn't get fixed just by drills. I'm talking about my habit of going too easy when I play with other people who are better than me. Not trying. Fumbling with stuff I should be nailing first try now adays REGARDLESS of the fact that I'm playing with someone new. That's always been the case with me and it's so immature of me as a player. I should be taking every chance I get to play with someone and not making it such a huge scary thing.

- that being said I had a couple good strings thrown in here and there that I can't remember. It was just a very chill session. I liked it. I hope Matt did too.

oh and Jason and Forrest couldn't make it. Jason is at his girlfriends again dealing with her and Forrest is on call for this campus theater thing.
