Hoo-ha! This is the first time I have seen myself play since I've kinda started playing well again. I need to fix my computer and make videos. I hit like a whole bunch of highlights from recent sessions (and then some) in, like, a really brief amount of time, with no warmup. My knees and shins are mad at me, but in an exciting way!
It wasn't really a session, I just wanted to get something on video, and decided to do more (I wrote that in the thread), but this was a new combo:

I was hooked by this pointLong, long ago, when the world was in its springtime, before the Redguards came and the glorious Septim Empire was formed, but after the goblins had driven the dwarves out of Hammerfell, a son, Edward, was born to King Corcyr I of Daggerfall and his Queen, Aliera of Wayrest.
The young boy lay drowsing in the palace orchard, high on a breezy hill overlooking the deep blue bay of Daggerfall. The constant autumn fog of Daggerfall had blown away for the nonce and the sky was a deep endless blue. Moments like these were rare for young Prince Edward; this afternoon was the result of days of scheming, for he craved solitude as the other nobles he knew craved companionship. Now his tutor believed him engaged in extra arms practice, the master of arms believed him to be chasing deer with the huntmaster, who thought he was studying Elvish. His father had no idea where he was and didn't care, being occupied with his young wife and their sons and otyehr pleasures of noble life.
At the plop of an apple barely missing his head, he opened his pale grey eyes; there was a sweet rotten smell in his nostrils. He sighed and stared up into the blue. Why should things fall down instead of up? If you stared at the sky long enough you could feel as if you were falling into it. His eyes glazed and the pupils grew huge as the dark-ringed irises dilated. He was weightless, drifting. Another apple fell, grazing his ear, and he thudded to earth, crying out as first his rump struck and then his head. A silvery laugh sounded. Edward sat up abruptly and stared around, jaw hanging slack.
Two mounted men stood ten feet away, still as if they were carved from stone, regarding him intently. Princes are not easily intimidated, not even the gentle souled kind, but Edward had never seen or imagined anything like this pair. One had golden skin and eyes, was clad in white cloth trimmed with gold and rode (Edward blinked. It was still there) a unicorn! Beside the unicorn was a golden dragon, wings neatly folded. And on his back was a man clad in dark chain mail, a long sword at his side.

The majority of them just aren't great. I guess I have lost my photographic touch on an SLR. There was a time when I was snapping, like, 20 rolls a month, or something. Maybe not that much.
Anyway, there were only, really, 2 photos of Byrin that I really like, but I started deciding I wanted to include photos of others, and then got less picky and just started resampling most of them :p

Actually it does look a bit like him when he had short hair, if you study the picture for a moment. And, yeah, that's Andrew Grant.

I don't really remember much else, though I'm sure there is. I was kinda playing okay to start and then quite, quite bad to end. We had a lot of Hackrificers out tonight, though! Almost the whole freestyle crew. It was Andrew, Manna, and myself, and then Jess showed up after about an hour, and then left after about 45 minutes. Then Manna left after a while. Then Josh showed up for about an hour or so and then left and then Andrew and I parted shortly after.
It was a pretty long session actually. My left hip was just messed up once Josh arrived. TOo much flip symp rev whirls, I'm sure... I should lay off, that's how I messed myself up in the very first place, and that same hip, and on that same move (just not reverse). My knees are kinda raw. My shins are good (:D). My knee pit under one brace started getting really irritated -- I guess I started getting a rash there from the stupid sweat trapped in the brace at ShrEdmonton... I had to stop playing a lot due to the brace rubbing, wet against it... Terrible. So a bit of that -- kinda of burning pain. And my back is just totally toast. I shouldn't've played at all. But god bless tiger balm! I totally haven't thought to use it all week. My back has been so painful. I've been popping robaxecet twice daily (the max suggested dosage). It just hurts so much. I'm gonna keep up the tiger balm (though maybe not at work, 'cause it's a "scent free environment"). Umm, yeah. I have BAD back pain. I had to leave work one day in Toronto 'cause it just hurt so immensely to do anything but lay down and sleep. I'm just gonna tiger balm the heck out of myself after my shower inna bit.
Not much news.
I'm not getting that camcorder for a while. That company wouldn't accept my Mastercard, so they suggested a wire transfer, and my mom told me that that sounds super sketchy. So I'm gonna lay back and feel comfortable with lots of money and maybe look into it again after Worlds once I get a new job, with some money coming in.
I might possibly move out with my brother sometime in the next couple of months. We'll see. I'll help him move at the beginning of August and see if his place is really as big as he says, and stuff. If I did, it would be $250 each a month. It's hardwood with a fireplace in the kitchen and it's supposedly the size of the main floor of our house. It sounds like a fun prospect.
Oh, I was also doing plantless ducking pdx mirage > paradon [repeat], which isn't big or anything, but I never do double downs (anything but the occasional paradon hurts).
EDIT: I kind of wanted to just delete this post because it is so useless, but then Holly went and posted inappropriate content. I'm going to add some more uselessness. I just played cycle polo with my brothers and a parkour friend (who is the best in the city, I think?). Right off the bat, on the initial joust, I braked really suddenly on my front wheel to get the ball and flipped right over my handlebars. And my bike flipped right over on top of me :p I'm kinda cut on my hands, and my entire legs are kinda roughed up, but I'm okay. I think the worst part is that my brake pully thing on that side is really bent out of shape on my year-old bike
Then we played impalation ball (a variation on a game we invented, called impalation) and I got a low pitch that I stopped with my foot, and bounced right up at my knee -- ouchy! I feel really beat up 
And I had to do some running, which wasn't cool on my knees either.

Stitching update:
Just finished bag #006. I have worked out some kinks. I went down a template for this bag, but also started stitching further from the edge of the panel to give me better bleed holes. This resulted in some super teeny, and triangular hexes, which I really like the look of (Clavens-esque!), but it made the bag turn out a bit smaller than I wanted. For #007 I am going to go back up to the same template I used for #005 (green and blue) and continue to stitch further from the edge, so it should be a bit smaller, which should be a perfect size.
I also didn't gather enough on #006, bit it was close -- very little. I like the gather on #005. This one is a bit too tight and you can see the stitches on my last pane
It hasn't leaked though, thanks to my wider margins, and I said screw melting, because they kept popping, and triple knotted every thread on this bag. No popping yet, but it's not been more than a few minutes...
I also picked up some aquarium rocks, since I found out that one of my favourite and most durable bags ever was built with a majority of aquarium rocks, and I love it. It is nice, and I love that gritty, semi-heavy feel! I've heard stuff about rough rocks wearing out the material, but I'm not worried about that yet. First I just want a playable bag and work on stuff like durability, and precise weight, and stuff from there.
It's so much fun.
I didn't stitch for almost a whole week mostly because I ran out of filler. I got some more seed bead, but I'm digging this aquarium rock!! I think I will use mostly aquarium rock until Worlds, where I may be getting some steel shot from Peng.
I have a bunch of drawing I want to do, and I should get lots of sleep, but I hope to get another bag done over the weekend. I can't wait. #006 looks nice too. I've used the claw pattern so much! Like 4 of 6 bags are claw? Or something? Maybe 3. It is darker red and dark navy blue. Quite round, though, and I think any break-in will expose the thread... but I think I'm getting there
I think If I don't get good by Worlds there will be plenty to learn (well tons to learn regardless... I just mean, if I'm not good by Worlds, I don't doubt that I will be by the time Worlds is over(And by good I don't really mean "good"...just almost-decent to decent...)), which I am super excited for! Pictures later. Maybe when I finish #007, or something. I guess a goal should be to have something playable by #010. Yes, that is my stitching goal now.

I can't remember who it was who said it, I think it was Ben B., but the title "Gimp", while catchy , is no longer applicable to you man. You're too damn good!

Hey Chris, I posted in your thread before. You can't just get the same knee braces as I have -- you should find out what your specific problem is and which knee brace is best for you. I don't have the same problem as you. I think most of my problem is an imbalance in my quad muscles which pulls my knee cap out of alignment and so I need the donut-hole brace to keep my knee cap centred and supported.
I was prescribed good knee braces (like as opposed to a $20 brace you can get at a drug store, or whatever) -- they were $80 each, made of neoprene. Don't get something cheap, especially if money isn't an issue.

I'm listening to Roger Sanchez' "Another Chance" -- this is one of those songs that makes me feel so great, like life is the most beautiful thing. I wish I was more musical. My three brothers are all INCREDIBLE, UNBELIEVABLY amazing musicians who should all have their own albums. I want to post some songs of theirs some time. When my two brothers do piano duets, when the one comes over, it's just the most mesmerizing, relaxing, inspiring thing (I can't think of a better word than "thing"...)
There was this really neat moment at my place in Toronto when Matt Cross was staying over, where I was showing some drawings by this guy, who's really inspiring to me, to Mike Faille, and the guy is soooo incredible, but in his signature said something about how music is the best thing in the world, and Matthew really dug that. It always make me realize how powerful and moving music is, and how it really is the most beautiful and complete art form -- it's really reinforced when I remember that one of my most inspiring artists realizes this over his own passion. Wow. Anyway...back on track.

-last three runs were, 40, 60, and 74 contacts respectively (The last one was actually, like, mostly regular shred! Not just lameness..)
Oh! We had a new guy come out!!! He signed up on Footbag.org for Hackrifice, and he's the first one I've actually emailed and welcomed in some time. He said that he would just practice at home until he was good enough, and so many people say that and we just never hear from them again, so I kept pushing and was, like, "The best way to get better is to come out and play with us". So he did, and he learned, like, 3 or 4 new moves in, like, an hour or two! He hit butterfly BSOS... neat stuff. Manna also, totally learned reverse whirl
Kept forgetting to do vortexes (wanted to see how my flip hip could deal with them). Did more mobiuses than I usually do -- didn't miss very many (I ended lots of those neat runs with mobiuses, actually). Some minor stuff that made me feel good, like, spinning mirage > pixie ss clipper [repeat] > merkon > pixie clipper [repeat]... I dunno. Flip pixie stuff just makes me feel great. Especially sameside stuff -- that is HARD (and usually pretty sloppy).
Bubble tea
I got some new bubble tea supplies in the mail yesterday. Passion fruit concentrate, kiwi concentrate, and watermelon concentrate (and a small thing of bubbles, since they ran out of the green tea bubbles that I wanted). The watermelon is new to me, and I have to perfect my recipe for it. Every syrup has a difference consistency, and I've had to create my own recipe for each one... I'm cooking some bubbles and brewing some green tea at the moment. I think I will mix some passion fruit and play around with my watermelon syrup.
Bubble tea is the happiest drink.
I'm also watching Akira off and on, since I started rereading the books.

Kept forgetting to do vortexes (wanted to see how my flip hip could deal with them). Did more mobiuses than I usually do -- didn't miss very many (I ended lots of those neat runs with mobiuses, actually). Some minor stuff that made me feel good, like, spinning mirage > pixie ss clipper [repeat] > merkon > pixie clipper [repeat]... I dunno. Flip pixie stuff just makes me feel great. Especially sameside stuff -- that is HARD (and usually pretty sloppy).
Bubble tea
I got some new bubble tea supplies in the mail yesterday. Passion fruit concentrate, kiwi concentrate, and watermelon concentrate (and a small thing of bubbles, since they ran out of the green tea bubbles that I wanted). The watermelon is new to me, and I have to perfect my recipe for it. Every syrup has a difference consistency, and I've had to create my own recipe for each one... I'm cooking some bubbles and brewing some green tea at the moment. I think I will mix some passion fruit and play around with my watermelon syrup.
Bubble tea is the happiest drink.
I'm also watching Akira off and on, since I started rereading the books.
what template specs did you use for the green and white bag?
looks like your best yet although the red and white did break in to be quite nice.
the green and dark blue looks good stitching wise but yea i agree its way too huge.
im trying to get into 32's and i have made (attempted) like 5 bags i think.
2 i didnt finish because they were so bad.
1 was way to small
2 leaked out of the bleed holes.
so as you can see i have been having problems.
this time around i did smaller short side hex lengths and a tiny bit smaller template. i really hope it comes out ok, i'll post it so we can share our experience together. you seems to be about at the same amount of bags i am. except for the fact i have made about 100 12 panel footbag
why am i posting this in here? i should just post it in my blog, oh well.

Stitching
I am such a dope.
Today at work I managed the botchiest of botches on #008. I completely undid it (it was only like 4 pents) because one of the bleed holes could fit about 4 x 6 beads side-by-side-by-side... So I was like, "Whaattt???" And figuring out how to connect hex-to-hex suddenly became an uber-priority. It took about a minute to figure out how to properly stitch. Geez, I can't believe even after discovering that I hadn't been doing this, that I still managed to leave it out. No wonder my bags bleed like heck. So my stitching is no longer super-marginned, but I am connecting hexes on this bag. I've only done one flower, but I can tell that this is going to be good! It might be a bit big again, actually, though, since I upped the gather a bit, and lowered my stitching edge margins. I guess the positive of that is that it will provide more room for light-weight filler to give me a better feel (since I don't have shot still...)
Weather
So, it's really hot out here. With "humidex" (the temperature calculated with humidity), it is 42 celcius. Tomorrow, when we plan to play footbag, it is supposed to be 45. What the geez? Yesterday I sat in front of my fan on full-blast all day. (It's like as hot, or hotter here than in Hong Kong -- someone who was just in China actually told us that today, since he jst got back...)

Since I'm writing a bunch anyway, here is something worth mentioning, especially if Andrew Grant is reading. Derek's missed about the past 2 months worth of sessions. I think I have messaged him every single time and he's been busy. So on my "break" today I messaged him for tomorrow. "Busy" -- expected. I messaged him for Saturday, with a little more hope -- "anime convention". I messaged him for tentative next Wednesday -- he's booked it! So we get to shred with Derek Vandall in just over a week :p Everyone better be able to play. I actually might have to help my brother move that day. Ha.
I'm making bubble tea and I am going to work on #008. Man that last bubble tea I made was the most refreshing bubble tea I have ever had in my life! It was so cold that my pot of tea was FROSTY. Heck yes! It was bomb. I cannot wait.

so your conecting the hexes, like stitching through right on the edge of where the bleed hole is? i think i need to do that too, my bags are dying of blood loss and i dont know how to stop it. i think thats the answer.
i started a new bag:
each polar end has a a white pent surounded by the colors of the rainbow (except purple) and the rest is really hard to explain but otherwise all i can say is, it's going to be awesome.
