Since you've been playing everyday, have you gotten to the point where you can beat Tom?

I have unbearable shin splints. Makes for the playing of footbag to kind of suck, but I've played everyday for the past week.

I think I need a breather from footbag though. The shin splints are unbearable. I've got 2 pairs of shoes coming to replace Lavers for shred.

Progression has been a little quicker these days. Perhaps its the nice weather, or maybe it's just that something has finally clicked and the muscle memory finally remembers. Whatever the case is, I'm rather proud of myself.

Yeah!!

Good to hear Peng

minus the shin splints. My knees and ankles are the reasons I cant play for hours and hours everyday it fucking sucks! I keep thinking its lack of calcium but I practically inject myself with it so I dunno. How did you get shin splints?

I have to work at 5:30, but 4:20 confed shred sounds like fun! ^^ I'll go straight to work after shred.

Shin splints are caused by repetitive impact. Lavers have no shock absorption. I don't get shin splints when I jog even though it's even more impact, but that's because I have better shoes for it.

Don't get me started on 4:20 shred. I think I bailed like crazy from spending too much time with Mary Jane. And the shin splints: have you tried Spencos insoles? They work in sustaining some shock absorption, but they're nothing like Climas I would say. See you and Tom up at Rochester!

I miss you guys too! I really wish I could have come. It's lonely here without Tom, and I wanted to go play footbag with all you people at GRASS.

Things have been tumultuous here actually. Let me outline the relationship I have with the people in our neighbouring apartment. You see, I like to play my music loudly sometimes. I have a large subwoofer that when turned up all the way, creates a rhythmic and what I find soothing thump. I like my subwoofer. I like bass when I'm playing footbag. For the most part, I keep the subwoofer turned down, but sometimes I just want to play my music loudly as I play footbag in the living room.

The neighbours have called the cops on me 5 times now. They are unreasonable twats. Not only have I spoken to them in person and told them to merely come over and ask if they want it turned down, I've left my number so they wouldn't have to move their lazy loser-asses and ask me to turn it down, and instead, just call me. I think they have bylaw on speed dial by now or something.

Two Fridays ago, I went out for beer and wings with some of my friends and got home at 11:30pm. I then knocked on the neighbours' door to see if anyone was home so I could play some music. I figured, it was the last day of classes and a Friday night, no way they would be even home. No one answered so I assumed no one was home. I'd only played my music for perhaps 20 minutes when cops show up at my door. Not only had my music not been playing very loudly, when I answered the door, my music was still playing and even the cops felt it wasn't very loud. The cops were merely doing their job and I felt bad that they had to haul themselves to this situation because a group of people have no social graces to just call or ask to turn the music down.

Before this situation, the previous times they called the cops on me also had no notice to me. The first few times, they'd bang on the wall we share, but that I think is fucking rude. Who taught them manners? It's not like I'm a huge intimidating person that would beat them up if they approached me. There's no door at that wall! Come around and ask in person!

The only time I've ever spoken to them, they were rude and one person in particular was unreasonable. But I had thought we had come to an agreement that I'd check with them if I wanted to play music later than 9pm. They've called the cops on me when I played music at 3 pm. One of the lines they used was, "We're in our 2nd year of our program and do you know how hard our program is? We get no sleep and sometimes we want to sleep at 3pm. We're always working on orgo (organic chemistry)." Little do they know that not only am I in my 4th year, I TA both orgo and anatomy which they have to take in their 2nd year of their program. I didn't think it was that hard and I REALLY don't think it's that difficult to say, "Hey, I know it's 3pm, but I'm trying to get some sleep. Can you please turn down the music? Thanks."

ARGH! I want to seek vengence. When I got angry after they had not only slammed on my wall and called the cops on me, I knocked on their door and they pretended they weren't even there. What the fuck I am supposed to do? Be completely mute? If they have a right to enjoy the quiet in their apartment, I have a right to enjoy music in mine. Especially when the time is reasonable. It's not my fault they pretend they're not there everytime I knock on their door. I tried being nice about it and they still act like fucking twats.

I have only 1 week left really of living in this apartment. I want to do something to get some revenge, but I'm not sure what to do.

sometimes people are just stupid assholes. i had neighbours like those too, they moved out and the last thing they said too me was: " now you can jump around and have loud music all day. oh, and our kids wont be there anymore, so you will have too search other kids too jell at!" i was like wtf, i lived under them, their kids did skateboarding in the house, they screamed and runned all day, i had this line in my pads contract that i am not allowed too play loud music after 8pm, because the kids would sleep that time.... and i never complained, but they did all the time...there are stupid people everywere.... best would be getting an own house, between old and deaf people, maybe blind and mute too...

for the revenge thing, there is this thread around, check it out there are tons of nice things in it....just forgot how the english word for anoying neigbours was.... :?

ahh! I feel your frustration!

My neighbours havent called the cops yet, but they stomp and stomp and are big babies about it. The dude works early sunday mornings and hates it if I have any music on and I also have a sub but its NEVER up loud unless connected to the turntables. but its saturday night so he should realize people do things on weekends. I dont make the rules ! The dude comes and complains and he's always so whiny. He complains about incense too and if my friends knock on his door thinking its my place he tells them I dont live any where near him.

People are fucking lame!
We should brainstorm some good revenges!

It was great shredding a bit with you on 420!

Thanks everyone for the congratulations. Today's kind of bitter sweet. I have an exam to study hardcore for tomorrow at 9am and I have a paper to write for tomorrow as well. I don't think I'll be doing much celebrating, though I did get free tickets to see a show tonite at the grad club from the radio station. I'm trying to work real hard right now so I can at least attend the show.

I'm moving in with Tom on Sunday. I'm excited to make that apartment nice and clean and homey. I'm prepared to paint and rid my room of all signs of the current tenant. The room is so dirty and he uses the wall as his pallette... yuck! I hate moving so much. Everything is dispersed and my stuff isn't where I like them to be. I don't do well when my accomodations are in chaos... it feels so disjointed and unsettling.

Hopefully tomorrow night I'll really be able to celebrate. :D!! Tom's the greatest X 20,000,000^infinity. I just got cake delivered to my hard-working room with candles and sparklers and a balloon. But no hat because they were sold out.

I've been making these little 4 panel bags lately. They are so soft and cuddly and shreddable right away. We named them the KFM Cuddlebaggies. We're testing them for longevity, but they seem promising. They come in cute colours too. Anyone interested in playing with a few testers I've made? PM me. Preferably a newbie or someone without an extensive number of footbags. $5each to cover the cost of shipping and such. I want to know how long they last.

Edit: the cuddlybaggies testers have all found homes.

For those who've been waiting on needles, we got a shipment of them in today. Sorry for the wait, but I'll mail it out tomorrow! :D
