4pm Downtown? I say we kick... how do I describe it? There's an alley behind the Borders on Pacific. If you were at Trader Joe's or Longs you'd walk across the street and go in the alley way that's in between the building and the parking garrage.... I'm not doing a good job of explaining it.

P.S. Afterwards at around 8pm I'm going to a freestyle battle that my friend Matt Marks and some other people I know are participating in. $5 enry fee, don't know if it's 21+. I'll find out later, but anyone is welcome to come with.

He is for sure. So is this guy Rex. It'll be good. Rex is working with some people who are organizing a protest to the anti-hack law that's in place downtown. If we find out a date for the demonstration, I'll post here. I would go there for sure.

Reminder: Tomorrow night is the Player's Party at 99 Bottles, all ages. Go in and go upstairs. We'll be there from 7pm until people decide to leave. If you want to come and aren't sure if we're still there, feel free to call me to ask. Then Sat and Sunday is the event at the Aptos Academy. Be there.

I think there's supposed to be a shred session on Thursday with Nick Landes (from Portland), but I'm not sure on any details. I'm not committing to any sessions in the very near future for physical reasons.

I'll likely make this session, but prolly not before 630 or so, so I hope its warm tomorrow! I have to finish up months of work in 2 days, which likely means I'll be staying late tomorrow at work. At the wharf is fine with me as long as we bring something to sweep up the sand with.

I might be in Santa Barbara this weekend, but if not, would you guys want to come rock climbing on Friday in Fremont? It's $5 students + $4 shoe rental.

Dustin: I told your parents that we're all excited about having you live in town next school year. They were happy to hear that.

Then I told them that you'll write letters once a week and call them every night before you cry yourself to sleep. Then they told me that you still sleep with stuffed animals- and I won't say what else they said, but it was bad.

Dat: I didn't get a student ID card last semester. This Friday won't work for me, but I'd like to go another time.

Yesterday I played footbag by myself for a few minutes and it felt pretty good. I'll be there tomorrow at 6:30pm. Anyone wanna car pool? Fletch, will you bring music?

Realization: when Fletch leaves this weekend, someone else will have to bring the music for the rest of the summer. :( We need to make some good CD's to kick to.

I got music covered. I'd go rock climbing if i wasn't semi-crippled still.

Anti-hack law? Do you mean to say there is a law against playing footbag? Or is this some other kind of hack?

Nice avatar btw Emily :) I love that book.

You might be there alone for a while, EJ.

I know very little about that part of footbag history so it's appreciated when you share anything you find out about.

Nic: It's illegal to play Hack in downtown SC. Not "footbag," but I am sure they'd be fine with giving me a ticket even if I'm not playing Hack-um-sack-um.

Omg... why is it illegal? What viable reasons do they have to ban footbag?
