If I'm going to this event, will someone be willing to provide me some floor space in their hotel room? I'll be willing to pay, of course, and speak sweet nothings and whatever.

I have to agree a bit with Cross and Mosher, re: the alpha thing. The Cornell club would be a lot more excited and commited to coming if we knew it was being tightly organized. That said, I'd say there's a 60% chance Cornell will show up for a day (probably saturday).

It's too bad there's the misperception that it is not being organized well. If anything more is needed to assure you all it is in fact being tightly organized and will be smoothly run, then let one of us know.

Off the top of my head, here are a couple of questions and scattered issues that would be good to address now:

-Aidan, let them know you are with the Juggle-In which is happening that weekend. That price ought to be a bit lower than 109. If that doesn't work, let paul or myself know.

-It's clear that Paul is leading this, being the only RIT student and since he has been in working with the Juggle-In organizers and announced ths event. Most of the vital info was in the original post and questions/concerns are being handled by the three of us. If we could offer free accomodations or a party spot we could offer then it would be yours, trust us. It's not the first time footbag players had to get a hotel room at a tournament. And besides, we have much better things planned than simply getting wasted. (I hear they are adding another performance to the Juggling show!)

-Competition and Judging. The three of us have experience making this work and we have plans to do it effectively. That is not an issue. Many of us all have been to enough circle competitions to know how these are always run: most of the players who are qualified to judge will want to compete (I hope everyone does!), so we will solicit judges when pools are formed. Thanks to everyone who has already offered to help out.

-If not having a t-shirt design immediately is actually going to prevent people from coming, then I will be faster about getting my design together to see how everyone likes it. :D

I have no qualms about the organization!

I am satisfied that things are under control and now all I have to do is manage to figure out a way to squeeze a hack tourny into the tightest weekend Ive had in a long long time.

Whee!!

Thanks for all the hard work Chris and Paul and all! :D

1) I really don't think t-shirts are neccessary.
2) I will judge intermediate if you want me to.

I don't want to go to GRASS this year. My latest blog entry explains it.

It may be crazy, but if Tom and I manage to finish moving and stuff, I'd love to be down @ GRASS celebrating my birthday on the 27th.

Miss you all dearly. It'd be a great way to start off the footbag season.

@ Waylon: I know you're getting down and blue and all, but it's kinda a downer to kill the momentum of an event thread with a post like that. Come if you can. You'll be missed if you don't go. You know that. <3

I've been feeling very pissy lately. It sucks to be a hype killer.

Tom gave me some encouraging words, and so did several people who posted in my blog.

So... I'm going to do my VERY BEST TO MAKE IT TO GRASS THIS YEAR. I need to turn off the Whine-o-matic 3000 SUCK machine off of my noggin. If Ben Rea shows up, he should buy an apple and crush it onto my head. :P

The bag from Waylon arrived today! Let's hope the rest of him follows (but not in a box on my doorstep).

verrrrrry cool design. the man's an artist. my favorite part is that it makes that crunching sound when you kick it, which is a trait that not enough footbags have.
