Alright let's make some points clear before going further.

In my first post to this thread:
I wrote:I think Shred30 needs it's own system that is accurate on the moves that are used in Shred30 performances. It would not need to give a comparable value to every footbag trick.
I've never seen any Dragon moves, Whirling Weaving Whirls or Ducking Dragonfly > Eggbeater links in Shred30.

This sounds more like creating rules for STP, doesn't it? Shred30 is about going as hard as you can, right? So awarding hard links (instead of uniques) belongs to Shred30?

I don't want to see Shred30 as a new competition that encourages for new types of moves and links. The new form of competition: Short Technical Program (STP) is for that stuff.

I don't want scoring system to be used in any other type of competition than Shred30.

And I stubbornly claim that Dragon is impossible to get fluent for most of players.

About exceptions. I don't want a complex system that you no-one can memorise, that's why I wouldn't want exceptions.

And then about Clipper balance. I'm serious saying that if a player has problems balancing Clipper stalls, then there's something badly wrong about his game. Basic Clipper and Toe tricks are all as easy to stay in balance.

I hope the discussion about all these subjects don't start going in circle for long, because that would not help anything.
When you think about all this, please keep this bright in your mind:
I wrote:I think that the Shred30 rules should be made for the basic footbag player "John Smith"
because that's seriously something we all have to agree on.

So you see shred 30 as more of a shuffling contest? Where stepping in and out of moves if rewarded more than uniques. And the STP would encourage both shuffle and uniques?

The system I imagine (keyword imagine) would be able to score such a contest. But it would also accommodate just about everything else as well.

I won't comment further about Shred 30. I will reserve my theory for overall.

Thanks for clarifying! :)
Go out and shred already.
