Power 90: Day 79
Sweat 5-6 and Ab Ripper 200. Another awesome workout. I had some pain in my left adductor magnus or possibly adductor longus. Duck and cover and squat knee lifts hurt. Even stuff like groucho in a hurry hurt a little. Over-all I think I'm fine and I enjoyed the sweat.
Workout Streak: 149
I'll try to get some steps on video. I haven't been playing at home at all and I don't have anything set up for recording at work. I just use my webcam at home. Although the mac in the lunchroom should have a webcam in it... Maybe I rig something up. it'd be dirty though. lol
I remember reading you mention that stepping tip from Bob and I will remember it and use it. Today I was just astounded that I could step for some reason. It really was weird. I don't think I've been doing anything to build up to it, other than losing leg fat.

I love how hot my blogs gotten. Thanks for popping in guys, it really means a lot and does SO much for my motivation!!
I think stepping ruined my adductor magnus' as they hurt a lot and they really hurt when doing stepping. Nevertheless, I am playing on my break again. I hit a few more stepping clippers each side to make sure that my stepping powers hadn't been taken from me. And I don't think I hit flip stepping clipper yesterday so I made sure to do that today. Then I mostly worked on pickups. I still haven't got 20 in a row so I keep trying for that. I don't know what it is about them but my toe keeps simply missing the catch.
In good news, I played 5 days this week. In my quantums, and it was only today that I started to feel the early signs of shin splints. I think cracking into ONEderland has had a huge effect on that.

When doing your pickups, LOCK your foot in the place where you want the delay. After practicing this for a while, you can't miss a pickup. Also, make sure you stall the bag for like one second, before you release to the next pickup. Consec pickups can get sloppy if you release too quickly. Also, do them symple style and drill that too, same with symple legovers. SO helpful. One more... Try to pick that one SWEET pin-point spot in front of you where you will stall the bag... Like that space in the air where the bag is going to get delayed. Know that spot, get familiar with that spot, love that spot. Like I said, try to get some filming with this, and I'll try to help you out better. I'm sure others will help you too. It's hard to fix the problem if I don't have a visual to help make the diagnosis... Haha, diagnOSIS. Nice. Footbag is everywhere these days
But try my suggestions and let me know if that helped or was just bulldick.

I've heard about symple a lot but never grasped the concept. Can you explain it to me?
Power 90: Day 80!
Sculpt 5-6
Felt good. I brought it with higher weights on a few moves. Really felt it! I love these workouts. I still have a ton of trouble with the side tricep pushups and flare arm sphinx, but I'm slowly getting better. Just need to keep pushing play!!

Symple is a little like Symposium. When you do a regular legover, you set the bag from your toe, plant that foot, then lift the opposite leg up and fo the legover. With symple, you set from toe, don't plant that foot yet, then jump off of the leg you're about to dex with and dex it. So, like I said, kind of like symposium. Get it?
Power 90: Day 81
Sweat 5-6 and Ab Ripper 200. I slacked off on one round of power yoga before getting into the workout, but then it really took off. Ended up good. I really need to get a hrm so I know how effective my workouts are. Maybe I'll find a decent one when I go to the city next weekend.
PS my diet sucked the last 2 days. Yesterday I had Chicken Strips, Fries and Pepsi from DQ and today I ate a bunch of Potatoe chips.

I'm afraid not... Something like Pogo Pickup should really be at least a 4 add in my opinion. Don't eat shitty food, man! You're doing so well. It's like when I forgot to wash the dishes one day, say I'll do it tomorrow... one more day couldn't hurt.... then the next day, shit there's a lot. I'll just do all of them tomorrow. A little fast food here, maybe some the next day, then more and more. FUCK THAT. Fast food is gross anyway. Get off the junk, yo!sen wrote:Yup, that makes perfect sense! Thanks. Does it get a body add?
I really need to wash my dishes tomorrow though lol My story there was actually from present experience
Good luck with continuing to eat madd healthy.
I know I shouldn't. My wife wanted DQ though. The chips yesterday I have no excuse for. Really, the DQ I have no excuse for either. I totally know you mean with the dishes. In fact you inspired me on that. Between reading your post and composing this reply, I washed a sink full of dishes. Lol. Now if only a sink full was all their was...

Power 90: Day 82
Sculpt 5-6
Good workout, and I ate better today. Snacked on a pear and a Fibre 1 bar instead of chips! New goal for sculpt 5-6: Ruumo squats without tap down. The balance work will be great for footbag. I dropped the 8 lbs weights today. Did everything with 10s and 15s. As stated I could move my lawnmowers and heavy pants to something higher. I just don't know if 20's would be too high and no where sells anything in between here.

Here's a few notes I just added to my Tablet. They will serve as training for the next few weeks:

Looks familiar, eh? I thought being able to play out of it seemed like a good idea. And for switch it should go to orbit each time.
Played kick bag at lunch.
PICKUPS!!!
Pick up>atw 5 times each side
toe ss pickup>atw 5 times each side
clipper near pickup>atw 5 times each side
clipper far pickup>atw 5 times each side
pixie pickup>atw 5 times each side
Nick, can you send me video of the symple ones being done? I can't for the life of my figure them out, and youtube didn't seem to have any.
pickup repeat x17
Had a lot more trouble with flip clipper near pickup. Need to work on that. And the toe ss pickup felt awkward. I think I'll do switches tomorrow and then on wednesday (last day of work this week) I'll do a combination of the two and maybe work on some other stuff for variety.

Power 90: Day 83 - Into the Home Stretch
Sweat 5-6 and Ab Ripper 200. No real problems, although I felt some slight pain or tweaks during the jump kicks. I was really bringing it though, Kicking the ceiling tiles! The last few times I've been doing a few extra full body crunches at the end because I'm ahead. Feels good. 6 workout days left. Feels amazing. I can't believe this leg of the journey is almost over, and the amazing progress I have made! Can't wait to see what changes my body have made with the day 90 pics. Speaking of changed body, a guy I worked with last summer saw me today and couldn't get over how much thinner I look. Hearing that never seems to get old.

I wanted to share another screen shot from my tablet. This is my footbag home page:

Ignore the background image as it changes pretty much hourly. Still found something I'm totally happy with. The blue box is simply a google tasks widget with my current footbag challenges taken from my challenge thread here on modified. I've got two inspirational pics of the players I watched most back in high school when i spent every spare moment watching shred videos. and in between or the drill notes I posted yesterday.

They were my idols growing up.
Footbag at lunch. Switch!
Switch > orbit 5 each side
toe ss switch > orbit 5 each side
Clipper near switch > orbit 5 each side
clipper far switch > orbit 5 each side
plo > orbit 5 each side
Kinda surprised by how weak my open switch is. It was the first double dex move I learned. I still remember Mike teaching to me at the Saskatoon jam. That seems like a lifetime ago. Anyways, I'll continue working on these drills. I think I might put the symple versions on hold for the time being. But that'll depend on if I can learn them or not. lol
