bonus vid for my blog readers :P

http://v.footbag.org/media/639/whirrlygig.wmv

just a two move combo that somehow got cut out of the video I made. Sorry for the quality footage - I just don't have time to be spending editing videos right now. Anyway I still think you can see that everything is clean - my foot definitely goes behind the bag at the end of the move and the bag stays inside of my foot arc so that makes it good in my book - definitely shoey like I said it was.

Had a crazy crazy crazy weekend. Raoul Duke style. Insanity. Also had a big fight with my brother and have moved houses because of it :(. Good decision in the long run though. Also a great friend of mine and awesome shredder is coming to Australia on New Years day and might be moving here permenantly!!! So fucking awesome. I might have to move to Sydney to live... - So the coolest scene in Australia at the moment.

Aus Champs will be huge.

I have not much internet access now so will not check modified much but will still reply to all emails. Video editing has been put on hold a little. I filmed some cool footage on Sunday though. My jam on Saturday was called off due to rain. Thompson is way more accurate than Huxley. Or maybe that's just me.

Shreddie.

Oh I've been playing at least 2 hours every day for about 3 weeks now - with the odd day break. I feel so fucking strong :)

Wow, crazy! Hope you and your brother are cool... new aussie shredder? Heck yes. I'm very tempted to move to Melbourne, for various reasons. Good stuff with the shred too.

Fuck Melbourne, Sydney is where its at.

Jeremy, have you been in contact with said shredder RE: Nestle demo in Adelaide? He will be the perfect candidate.

just a quick report because I had a kick yesterday and finally figured out that gyro moves - especially vortex, mobius and gyro dlo really are as easy as people make them look. Hit gyro dlo bsos while waiting for a lift to touch footy!! Also some other nice combos. Vortex and gdlo are definitely 4 add moves.

Yeah I played my first game in 8 months or so :) Was lots of fun, playing in div 2 which is very low level so not much effort. Apart from Simon and I (I played state with Simon and he talked me into playing now) nobody knew how to attack so we carved it up :). Was playing in g-units though so slipped over a lot.

Cheers,

Had a sweet session today down at the markets. We had shitty weather to begin with which meant I called off our jam for the second week in a row but then the sun came out and it was an awesome day. Played a little with some guy from qld who could do toe and outside stalls. Also played with Adam a little and then James and this girl Danna (I don't know how to spell her name). I was playing fairly well. Hit 9 pdx drifters which is my record I think - into a run. Also some nice tripless runs including a run that started with high plains>ripwalk>ripwalk>flurry>dimwalk I think and finished with torque>crispy torque - not sure how many contacts. Filmed a little too and hit a few cool things on tape. Blurriest>fog>smog>pod into a run was cool and all looked clean on replay. Starting to get the hang of the gs. Danna had never played before but hit alternating toe stalls and atw. I have high hopes for her if she sticks with it. I hope she does. She's a friend of James so maybe. My spinning was not as good as the other day although I still bsosed vortex which is cool. Oh I started hitting symp blazing mirage a little which is a really fun move. Oh and this combo was cool - blurry whirl>whirr>blurry whirl>whirl - so close, l and r are only 6 letters apart... I really wish I had have gone for the last dex instead of bailing to the clipper because who knows. It was too low a set to get a clean whirr out at the end though. Still only a matter of time. Apart from that I've been a little sick - still a little today but getting over it and the cap on my tooth came off on thursday - that really sucks. I swallowed it too I guess although no harm came from that (as far as I know). Going out tonight to watch a band play. Have a shit load of banking and stuff to do on monday. Life is ok, Saturdays are always the bomb but I've been a little depressed/bored lately and have been spending all my time drilling the same stuff over and over. Also have lost my needle and thread but am buying some more today hopefully.

Peace

Cheers,

So just wanted to say Hobart Footbag Club is going really well at the moment - we have a lot of players now. We're going to be performing at one of the biggest music concerts in Australia and certainly the biggest in Tasmania and also at the biggest festival in Tasmania (over 100,000 people attend over the week).

I've been playing a great deal and hitting some nice stuff. I drilled fog a little yesterday and fog>op butterfly repeat x 5 (ten fogs total) as well as some nice blender stuff.

Also playing touch football again - had a good game yesterday although my team is very young and inexperienced. I had to take on a big leadership role and we lost :(. Still I think there was some improvement and I hope they're learning.

I'm also stitching lots - finally

Sweet stuff.... I like fog.... maybe I should hit some more DLO's so I can hit fog one day haha.

Yeah I was going to ask how the stitching is going... how long till mine will be done and your preferred method of payment.

So finished off the Hobart Footbag Club Summer Jam today. Was lots of fun. Ironically (because of the name) this was the third weekend that we'd tried to have the event due to rain and in the afternoon we got some torrential rain and everybody got completely soaked to the skin. This was seriously intense rain.

Saw some nice stuff going down from everybody. I was impressed with Grady's game and also with Cameron. Glenn is improving too :). I was playing fairly well - got some cool stuff on video I think. I'm fairly happy with my game at the moment although there is always room for improvement. I hit "nemesis kick" twice on video and they felt really clean but I'll review the video to let you know. I just need to work on the timing for the stall at the end. I think my first attempt at the move was a legit 5 add (dex, dex, dex, dex, xbd) and I probably could have even played out of it :P I think I only had the two attempts and footed both so it's definitely almost there as a move I could actually play from :). Impressed that people in the circle knew what the move was too :). Almost hit my shred 30 dropless as a demonstration event - had a painful drop near the end that cost me big time but was pleased with my score of just over 198.

Last night played some poker which was fun although I ended $2 down - but thought I played really well.'

Edit: big thanks to the sponsors of the event!!!

never ever ever ever get into a relationship with a crazy girl. If she has serious personal issues she definitely isn't worth it. This is one of the most important lessons you will ever read.
