Thanks Dr. J. I'll give that a shot, but I'm not too sure how much success I'll have with it :).

Kick on Friday was good. I played pretty decent, despite not having drilled my shuffle for a while. My hamstring was still a bit tight, though, and about 3/4 in I did something to my right ankle which hindered my clipper ability :(. Bah.

- Whirlwind x 2 > run with 3 PS Eggs (2 strong, one weak I think) and Spinning Whirl x 3 bsos
- Rubberman with PS Eggs (starting on Legbeater)
- Rubberman with Beds... haven't done that in a while
- Whirr midstring (seems like you're no good if you can't do Whirr these days :? )
- Blurry Drifter > Ripwalk x 2 into a decent run
- Fog > Dim x 2 > Bed > Dim x 2 again (boring! :P)
- Mobius > In-Mobius off the foot
- Montage > Whirlwind

And that's about all I remember. That first string was a real epic one - it was probably around 30 contacts and pretty unique. The Whirr midstring was tight too, I didn't think I could do it. I gave Gyro Whirr some attempts and missed the delay. I'll definitely hit that one on camera.

I'm going to be taking this next week off from footbag. I had an hour sesh Tuesday and my hamstring, shin and knee started acting up again. No fun, but I've gotten back into reading so that's going to be taking up most of my footbag time.

My woman and I are going to be checking out 300 this evening (so stoked for this movie!! I've been drooling over it since I've seen the trailor, like, months ago :D ), and tomorrow I'm going to take her out for supper. Sunday I'm going to the parents to change oil in the car. I plan on doing a lot of weight lifting and reading inbetween as well.

You are absolutely insane at footbag.

It does seem that way about whirr these days, although lots of newer people are starting to hit whirr.

If you hit that move ^^ wow.

I cracked. I could only hold out for 6 days. My hamstrings are tight from running, I think I have a serious case of knots in them which are making the healing process real slow. I might have to ask Kevin to give me a rub rub  .

But yeah, session tonight for about 2.5 hours, then did some weight lifting. It was decent, I went over foundation tricks a lot more than usual (which I plan on doing more of), but when I got booted out of the studio I started playing harder for people who were watching. Don't know if that was a good thing or not, I guess we'll find out tomorrow. For the most part it was a pretty easy going session though.

- Double Spinning Clip > Gyro Clip x 2 (couldn't do it again though :/)
- Spinning Rev. Swirl > Gyro Rev. Swirl x 2 (almost tagged the drill bs)
- Spinning Rev. Swirl > Rev. Swirl > Gyro Rev. Swirl > Rev. Swirl bs (I think this is easier than the other drill)
- Whirr and Superfuly first attempt. Woot.
- Dive > Duck (8 contacts) > Dive > Zulu (8 contacts) > Weaving > Ducking (8 contacts) > Weaving > Zulu > Weaving > Zulu > Weaving

At one point these three kids sat down and watched me for a few minutes, so I ended doing things I shouldn't have. I also blew the minds of these I'm-too-cool-to-workout-despite-the-fact-that-I'm-at-the-gym kinda kids' with Whirr, and impressed a couple with some foot juggling.

All in a days work for the B_Man 8) .

Oh, at one point I was 4/4 with Gyro Barroque. Were they clean? Dunno. Ended up being, like, 5/10 but the last one I hit was totally good. I think I might use that for MFJ.

That's a lot of love indeed! *swoon*

Had a good kick with Kevin today on the HMV at WEM. It was pretty good, though my shin and knees aren't feeling 100%.

- Spinning Ducking Rev. Swirl bs
- Alpine Fusion
- Surging Blender bs (not sure if I hit it on weakside before or not... I missed the seal for the bsos)
- Spinning and Gyro DLO bsos
- Gravedigger bsos felt solid
- Pdx Drifter > Void > Pdx Drifter (though got that first link bs)
- Montage for some pot-smoking hippy hackers
- A Sick 3 and Sick 1 for Montana

I played pretty well and had some really good runs oozing with variety and links. I *almost* wish a camera could have been present to catch them. I also tried a little fearless, and I think I got 6. I hope to break my record of 10 before (or during) MFJ 4.

I think we saw that movie on the same night. It was great, wish there was a little more acting though. Let's recreate the movie w/ costumes at mfj :p

Have a good day my young Spartan.

That movie was fucking awesome Kevin. Just the right amount of acting to the right amount of epic slaughter  .

"Spartans! Eat your breakfast and eat hearty becasue TONIGHT WE DINE IN HELL!"

Kicked yesterday despite having troubles walking because my knees were so bad. The only highlights were that I ducked my surging set and hit Spinning Ducking DLO bs.

Oh yeah, and I hit Atom Smasher...

Had two sessions so far this week. The first on Monday left me barely able to walk the day after, but this afternoon I had another kick with Kevin and it seemed to have ended a lot better. I think I'm going to have to change up my style to accomodate for my knees...

Some highlights:

- 20 contacts of Far Rev. Swirl > Spin Clip > Far Rev. Swirl > Spinning Osis
- Far Rev. Swirl > Rev Up > ss Rev. Swirl x 2
- Far Rev. Swirl > Spinning Rev. Swirl x 2
- Gyro Rev. Swirl > Spinning Rev. Swirl x 2 for Kevin
- Food > Spinning Blender > Food
- Far Rev. Swirl > Spinning Rev. Swirl > Spinning Blender midstring
- Rubberman with Mobius (inspired by Jim)
- Maelstrom > Montage > Whirlwind > Spinning Blender off the foot

I think I'm going to try and go all out with this Rev. Swirl stuff. I'm totally digging the far and spinning varients right now :).

In other news, I finished the fourth book of the Wheel of Time series this morning while I waited to get new tires put on my car. That ended up being a lot cheaper than I had expected, which made my day. I haven't lifted weights in about a week, which is honestly eating me up inside. I don't know why I'm not feeling motivated to go but I hope I get it back soon enough.

Other than that, I'm really looking forward to the Montana Jam and seeing the Montana crew, James, Nick, Jim, and Daryl. It seems like a lot of other people will be flying out here as well, which will make it even better. I don't think I'll be able to hold my own down in a circle with Nick anymore, unless I can train hard with no knee troubles (and even then, it's a big maybe). I really want to see how much the Montana crew (mainly Jeremiah, Kevin and Evan) have progressed. I don't know what the other's games are at, but Kevin always seems to progress in leaps and bounds whenever I see him. I'm sure he'll be walking over me in a year :D .

EDIT - I totally meant Wheel of Time  .

Did you mean "Wheel of Time"? If that was an honest mistake then that would be awesome!

I can't believe I actually put 'Whirl of Time' instead of 'Wheel of Time'

Yeah right. I'd be stoked just to play at the level you were at when mfj2 came around.

Keep pushing the rev swirl variants.

Kevin surpassing Byrin ...

A genuine laugh out loud.

All those highlights are nuts Byrin. Zeb Jackson and I are making a dvd of the event and I would almost guarantee you will have your own epic section. Don't push yourself too hard and sustain an erection lasting longer than 4 hours, then you would have to call the physician. n00b

I had my first outdoor sesh today with Rory outside his condo complex. It was a bit too cool for comfort, but it was good to finally be able to play outside again. Some highlights:

- Butterfly Rev. Swirl > ss Butterfly Rev. Swirl bs
- Butterfly Rev. Swirl > Spinning Rev. Swirl bs
- Butterfly Rev. Swirl and ss Butterfly Rev. Swirl bsos
- Dimwalk Rev. Swirl > Blur bs
- Gravedigger > Ripwalk bs (got 3 contacts of the drill)

That's about all I can remember. I'm going to keep drilling those Rev. Swirls, and start dipping more into the Butterfly and Stepping varients for Montana.

Shitty news:

Playing yesterday with Rory, I landed a Big Apple wrong and rolled my ankle. It seriously sounded like snapping celery :? . Today it's so swollen and I can barely walk. I don't know how long I'll be out for, but Montana is only a month away and I doubt I'll be in good enough shape to play :( .

EDIT - Last night I had two footbag dreams. The first was some sort of small jam (not sure where) where there was, like, 4 people. I can only remember myself, Kevin R, this fricken awesome shredita and an intermediate player there. I was the last person to do my Sick 3, but unfortunately I couldn't find a good bag to use. Kevin tagged Whirlwind x 3 and I didn't know if I could out-do him. I don't even remember if I hit my Sick 3 or not.

The second one I was at this huge show with Vasek - he was shredding on stage in front of thousands of punk/hippies, who demanded that he never stop. At one point they got totally angry because he did stop, and this asshole biker guy came out, so Vasek went back up there and while he was shredding I tossed him a couple of glow sticks and he was going crazy with them (like, using them as nunchucks or something) while footbagging. Then he jumped off the stage onto this really really small tricycle and was juggling the glowsticks and the footbag while reiding the bike through the crowd. Then he fell down and died of exhaustion, but no one really noticed. Not even me.

That sucks man. I recently did the same thing to my ankle. That description of the sound it made was parallel to my experience. I don't think you need to worry, you will shred it up by the time MFJ comes around as long as you take ease to it.

By the way, I was wondering about you guys entering the USA. I know there are new immigration laws (or going to be, not sure haven't researched) so you canucks should double check crossing the boarder and see if somethings have changed since the last time you crossed over. Again, I haven't researched it, but you should make sure everything is in order.

APRIL FOOLS!

I actually kicked with Rory yesterday (same day as I posted that, not the day before :P). Suckas!

I don't know what the situation is for Kevin and Rory, James, but I have a passport which is a sure-fire way of getting my ass to Missoulla. I don't think either Kevin or Rory have theirs though... I'll have to do some research on it.

I've been footbaggin lately, with very little knee pains. I don't know if it's because of the fish oil I've been taking or because I've taken out a stretch from my after-shred-stretch regime, but I'm going to keep doing what I've been doing. For the most part I've just been drilling my Sick 1s, Sick 3 and Shred 30. Not too many highlights otherwise, except that I got 10 fearless again. More kicking and drilling tomorrow evening.

EDIt - I just read Will's blog, and just remembered that I also had Double Spinning Whirl off my foot early last week.
