hey gray-not quite sure what you mean by modding the instep leather, all i have done is strip the inside canvas, i have done nothing to the outside. would it help?

seeing as you said earlier that you cut out the inside mesh, you would be ruining your shoe if you cut off the leather. If you were to cut the leather off, it would look like this

Oh yea good point :) if you cut off the leather you would be left with no layers because you took out the inner layer. Didnt see you said that.

crazy lookin lavers, but Ithink you coulda done without the splotch on the toe. still a good job, though!

oh and travis, you really shoulda modded away the leather with leather lavers. You only take away the inside layer for mesh ones.

Nice shoes! You should use the edit button and take out the pictures from one post.

Crispy new lavers! Yo you should consider getting some thinner laces though. Honestly the big laces add a lot of extra bulk and thickness that reduce the effectiveness of your shoe...I used to shred with thick round laces and then switched back to the stock laver ones and realized those laces work best. So go for thin flat ones for good performance! Ai ai ai!!

For sure, I changed my laces back and the bag doesnt bounce off the laces anymore. The stock ones are definately the way to go.

The stock laces for Lavers are too slippery. Get something just as flat, but stretch a bit. That way when you lace your shoes it won't loosen up or come undone whenever you do any intense shred.
