i've tried it but i havent put much effort into it because it seemed really hard. I'll try that next session a little bit. I'm still weak on those clipper symp mirages and just clippers in general though.

Loser huh? You're the one who "sat around doing nothing." Who's the loser now, eh? In any case, you didnt even think to ring my tele? Go have a solo session then . . . serves you right! And BTW, I DID call you . . . 3 times, and you'll prolly have some really annoying answering messages to listen to before you can delete them. Next time, if there's bad communication, just show up at the park at the usual time. People will be there . . . since you're usually late anyhow 8O ooooooh burn! Enough of this . . you are wasting my time!

11.20.05 solo laundry room sesh

Post by funklovesfootbag »

solo session in the laundry room. worked on my illusions a little bit and hit mirage>illusion X3 on my strong side, twice on my flip.

drilled a little bit of ducking, a little bit of clipper>symp mirages but mostly, i think i spent literally like 40 minutes trying to hit the goal i set for myself a few sessions ago which was

clipper>pdx mirage>opp clipper>pdx mirage>opp clipper>pdx pickup>opp clipper>pdx pickup

it was starting to get really frustrating and i almost gave up and i thought "holy shit, how many times have i tried this..." i kept missing on the last move but then finally sealed it.

also attempted flail (really hard, and i must look really funny while trying it.)

and hit bubba on my strong but not on my flip.

i suck less than i did a few hours ago. oh, but there's a small hole in the purple panel of my los--, mirken bag. This is not good. i will not play with it until further consultation.

EDIT: i just watched a video of flail; apparently i was trying something else haha, ill try that next session.

11.21.05 aptos shred garage session

Post by funklovesfootbag »

session with jeremy in the shred garage tonight.

i hit...

butterfly>pdx mirage bsos
clipper>ss pickup>symp mirage both sides but not bsos
clipper>legover>symp mirage both sides

butterfly>pdx mirage>ducking mirage (my sick 3. :D )

and a run of 15 contacts, mostly 2 adds i think with a few clippers

a little bit of woodchopping, and i tried whirl for the first time maybe 20 tries on my strong and a few on my flip. i got close on my strong. gonna hit that before i come back from thanksgiving. or maybe before i leave for thanksgiving...

11.22.05 i dedicate this session to chuck norris.

Post by funklovesfootbag »

solo session outside, beautiful day.

hit 5 infinities! i noticed a huge difference by getting my foot flatter and being more on the balls of my feet. drilled those for about 15 minutes and my shins are screaming.

started practicing spinning and ducking but i wasn't getting close so i started trying fairies.. hit a few on my strong side but none on my weak and i noticed it was because my out-to-in atw's are so weak especially on my flip, so i practiced atw's for about 10-15 minutes, i hit 3 consecutive on my strong side and 2 on my weak and then started doing atw>pickup>atw>pickup and atw>pixie>atw>pixie

drilled pixies

hit 19 legovers

longest string of 2 adds was approx. 10

butterfly>pdx mirage a few times but i missed the ducking mirage

tried whirl maybe 10 times and a few on my flip, but i need to practice flip more without the bag or im gonna eat it. Whirl, drifter, and DLO are just out of reach for now.

Thanks man I try and play everyday.. I'm happy with my progress but I'm still not as consistent as I would like to be. Im going to be in Vancouver during my winter break, my first trip to Canada! I'd like to come to Montreal but I'm going with my family so I don't get to choose.

happy murderous pilgrim day to you fellow americans.

turkey. cranberries. mashed potatoes. sweet potatoes. green beans. rolls. gravy. red wine. pumpkin pie. good lord. nice big feast.

then footbag with the NRFC.

hit some clean butterfly>pdx mirage repeats
butterfly>pdx pickup
lots of variations of that stuff

a few clean woodchopping clippers

hit my sick 3 (butterfly>pdx mirage>ducking mirage) really clean and almost hit it flip but missed on the last part

hit plo on both sides

no dlo but close a few times, tried whirl not close tried drifter not close. maybe 10-15X each.

and lots of symp tricks, clipper>symp mirage bsos

OH and clipper>spinning legover for the first time. that was the best thing and i almost forgot. feels great to be home. possibly shredding with big add chad and chris pinkus tomorrow which would be sick.

thx emily!

Played for an hour and a half today with mark and dave. The day after beer pong and martinis is always a slow session.

hit no long runs and played pretty sloppily. the only good thing to come out of it was a little work on stepping. I understand the motion now, and got a few good sets and attempted blur. i got close but i need to be much faster.

weak sauce shred, hopefully i'll play better tomorrow back in santa cruz.

11.29.05 laundry room drill sesh

Post by funklovesfootbag »

i didnt play footbag yesterday. it was disgraceful. but i played today! really good schooling session. didnt try any new moves for once.

hit ss clipper X8 on my flip side :D
only 6 on my strong side (yes, its still my strong side.)

hit 6 consecutive atws strong, 4 flip (out to in)
in to out atws i think 3 each side

11 consecutive legovers
16 consecutive pickups
mirage>pixie repeat i dont know how many times at least 10 i think.

3 consecutive illusions strongside only 2 on flipside.. need to improve flipside.

hit PLO both sides about 50% consistency

a little bit of osis practice but not much

then the clipper stuff.. hit clipper>ss pickup, clipper>mirage, clipper>ss legover, clipper>pdx mirage, clipper>pdx pickup
twice each on both sides and bsos on most

did alternating clippers a little bit and tried pdx illusions.

next time im gonna drill alternating clippers, osis, pdx illusions, bubba and more. OH... i forgot..

also footed drifter, and got close to toe drifter but keep hitting it with my support leg.

11.30.05 shred sesssssion in aptos

Post by funklovesfootbag »

shred session in aptos with jeremy and emily. like 3 hours. sick session.

hit 7 consecutive infinities
hit 5 consecutive osis off clipper
bubba strong side but really ugly flip
spinning toe
decent run of 7 or 8 atw>pixie>legover>pickup>atw something something

hit a really fat run of butterfly>ss butterfly bsos with some alternating clippers and other stuff i cant really remember but i was awful at same side butterflys before and i can hit them decently on both sides now.

butterfly>pdx mirage>opp butterfly>pdx mirage twice
some good pdx pickups, me and emily schooled a lot after the main session.

hit drifter and footed it flipside

and hit my sick 3 flipside butterfly>pdx mirage>ducking mirage

asked emily to show me torque and i tried it briefly; no point in trying that yet. gonna be sweet when im at that level though
and a sweet woodchopping clipper after emily told me to do it to the beat.
.
a whole lot of butterflys..so fun. very pleased with tonight. everything fun seems to be based on a good clipper...
