PUUUUTAAAAAIIIN ! :x > rpt

I just ruined the day, or the weekend, that is - shred, party, work ,
everything's fucked now...

Today we got our semester certificates, i got some really good grades
so i didnt say no the alcohol that was passed around.
After school i felt a little tipsy, still jars of whiskey away from drunkeness
and changed into shorts for some outdoor celebration shred .

Everything went well, the moves came and the crowd liked it ;
i had to cool down for a bit and stringed a little tiltless, mixed up
with bops and some spins, until i sprained my ankle on a butterfly attempt
- how could i be so stupid/careless, what ever you call it .

I swear this is my first and last serious footbag injury and i hate it already

:( :( :(
Take care of this ankle. Beeing injured is the worst thing that can happen. I hope you'll get better soon and it won't affect your clippers or anything.

EDIT: It's Ners, I just forgot that I'm using Cod's computer

What is up dude - get well soon ?

You got too much motivation to stop shredding!

Let the ankle heal and do something else for a few days - otherwise the injury could accomplish you for a long time.

Congratulation for the certificate- you are doing really fine , working , shreddding , studying - a few days off are maybe the way to go.

Wow thanks for all the compassion and the encouragement !

I was at the hospital today, they said its nohing too bad,
no fracture or anything like that . Nevertheless i'll do what Jochen
said and take it real easy for a bit to heal up for good -
a friend of mine dragged his footbag injury aound for all of summer,
believe me that aint no pretty sight !

Thanks again for all the nice comments everyone, i really appreciate 'em

i'm slowly recovering - its my second day without having to walk on crutches.

the wish to shred and run naked thru the woods gives the word
"overwhelming" a new dimension , but i have to wait at least 2 more weeks...

Wow - its been a month without footbag now, and i'm still alive :D

It was hard and interesting to find other stuff that made me feel good,
and of course, there wasnt any - sinead o connor was singing about the
taste of zen in mid shred when she sang "nothing compares to you"
back then .

But i have the elementals of 3 ball juggling now, i taught myself
to appreciate mathematics, my room looks different now, plus i
rediscovered the whole madness of my pre footbag existence : music :D !

Yesterday i tried footbag again . Felt good, but i was shy like somebody
that hasnt had a date with somebody in ages . I was excited, and i had
to control my excitement - i didnt wanna go all the way on our first night .
I hit most of the tricks that i've been missing so much like both whirls,
atomsmasher, both spinning clippers, ripwalk and both datws, but i
couldnt shred per se . So i used my time talking to our two new players,
Tobi and Julia, watching the action and absorbing the jugglers.

A nice evening that :D and i hit a new 4 add : zulu osis

In two weeks i should be back in full effect. faith in that day .

I was playing footbag again and it felt good.

My foot didnt hurt, its just a little stiff and not to be trusted and some motions,
especially the footwork of certain tricks still felt uncomfortable .

But even the easiest stuff made me smile so much - during warm up
i stringed 18 tiltless and butter>pdx mir b2b and i kinda knew from there,
that everything will be ok... :D

And i was playing in lavers - god, they are so good.
While i wasnt able to play i began to mod them just for the funk of it,
secretly plotting on a come back and today i played with them for the first
time . They need some break in time and they'll get it - i kinda have to
re-skool alot of basics anyway, so why not try that in shoes that,
well, make you concentrate a bit more.
It was interesting and quite relieving to hit all the important moves
with my new lavers without much hassle, even stepping osis and zulu
osis  - so, i guess i will use em a lot now .

But i also hit some shit i havent hit before :

muted tap>datw

ducking mirage>ducking legover
b2b

atomic legover>quantum legover

double over down
:D

Yeeeehaaaa ! Its outdoor session time :D

I worked on toes and dexes mostly - my left foot is still a bit stiff,
so i couldnt really work too much on clipper to clipper stuff :?

anyway, i hit some fun combos and one new trick :

smear>paradon both sides

stepping legover>dlo bs

atomsmasher>smear>plo>quantum legover

quantum pick up

quantum leg>paradon

Random observations :

lavers are so nice to play with - they're honest and force you to be on point .

everything feels hard and possible at the same time -
so i may be working on real, solid bothsidedness .

it feels good to be back .

GYM SHRED

Today we had a major math test ( which went ok : ) and i needed to let
off some steam - so i had a little session after school .
On thursday the place is crowded with an astonishing number of
good looking art school chicks who try to be sporty ....well, they dont
try too hard, but they look good just hanging around .

I went into my corner and started to kick. clippers, butters, PIXIE...
my ankle still feels odd and i need to be careful - butter, pdx mir
and one stepping set are still absent.

I knew i couldnt go for long runs in that condition, but i used my time well
to push toe guiltless and/or "genuine"(=short) runs .

Nu lavers + nu bag + bad foot = osis trouble ( i dont wanna talk about it )

But my form is getting there, i felt unusually sharp and controlled,
trying to minimize the effort while trying to maximize the style/form/cleanliness - and them lavers really help me doing so.

random thought : - if you already have a good style - rock g units
- if u have a crappy style or a tendency to be lazy,
be a man and use lavers .

Fuck yeah, i hit some nice shit today, maby my toughest genuine b2b combo until now : ducking mirage>tapping muted pick up rpt :!:

also flip dso :D :D :D and some nice runs +

dso>paradon 8)

double dexes are so hot right now .

just had another quick sess . in g units. wow, the sole is sooo much better.
i had some longer runs at last, but that shit looked wack :x ...

one new link : pixie clip>whirl>pdx mirage
both sides
it is policy to hit a new move every session, yall know that, so i went
for motion (from toe ) and i hit that - ugly, but clean, something like
a 70 old overworked prostitute fresh out of the shower...
