Lots of stuffs been going on lately so I haven't written anything down for a while. Lifes been pretty hectic for summer vacation. I was aniticipating more calm.

Here's some new stuff from that last few weeks:
blur bsos
ripwalk bsos
dimwalk bsos
smear bsos
drifter bsos
diving butterfly
smear>dimwalk
atomsmasher
legbeater
tapdown
paradon

I haven't been playing as much as I've wanted to lately but that'll change as soon as my dad is better. I tried to get my mom to let me go to east coasts but obviously if I'm here typing this that didn't happen.

I want to get spinning. I'm pretty close to it. Thanks to mike for the idea. I'll buy one of your shirts soon.

It's been pretty crappy the last few days footbag wise. Monday I was just completely off. So I decided to finish the session playing in my g-units, seeing as I had never really played in the before. It probably wasn't a very good idea because I did better in them then I did in my lavers so I played for a lot longer. This is what probably screwed me up yesterday. I guess I got used to the easy clippers and wall-less to of the g-units. Clippers were rolling off left and right. Pixies were snagging all over the place. It just completely bummed me out.

Today, however, proved to be a very good day. For the first 15 minutes or so it was just like yesterday but then I got back to normal. I played for about 2 to 2.5 hours. Here are some highlights:

ripwalk bsos, dimwalk, blur all same string
Ducking clipper bsos
symp whirl
stepping ss clipper bsos
flip tapdown
smear bsos, blur bsos same string
stepping far legover bsos
parkwalk>sidewalk
diving clipper bsos
fairy butterfly
dyno
fairy mirage
flip magellan
fairy ss mirage

Other than the fact that I basically learned fairy this session I also ducked it and footed fairy ducking butterfly numerous times. And I footed pheonix about a hundred times. That got me kind of excited and annoyed at the same time. I was so close and I just couldn't get it but also I was surprised that I had footed a five.

Anyway, thats all for today.

Had a shred last night for about an hour and a half. I went OK but not as good as I would have liked. At least at the beginning. So I was just doing some strings and trying to work some drills but I didn't really get motivated so I decided to end early. But first, I told myself I had to hit dyno and paradon again before I called it a night. But the checklist kept growing and I wouldn't let myself stop until I hit them all. So overall it turned out to be a pretty good session. Only one new trick but it felt good nonetheless.

Checklist:
paradon
dyno
ripwalk bsos
dimwalk bsos
blur bsos
drifter bs
smear bsos
ducking clip bsos
ducking clip back to back
ducking paradox mirage(new)
20 tiltless contact run
butterfly>infinity>osis>pdx mirage>rpt
whirl bsos
15 infinities
toe set dlo
clip set dlo

I think there was more but I forgot some. I cooled down with mirages, legovers, atws and kicks. Stretched, showered and went to bed.

Had an exhausting shred today. At least two hours long from like 730-930 me and Dave played in his garage. At the end I could squeeze my shorts and water would come out, kinda like a sponge. anyway, I did pretty good.

pheonix(first 5)
ripwalk>ripwalk
ps mirage midstring
sorta got close to torque
mirage>legover>rpt>clipper>ss mirage>rpt>ssmirage>ssmirag>butterfly>pdx mirage>butterfly>pdx drop(gonna kill this)
buterfly>whirl>pdx mirage>rpt

All in all a pretty good shred.

Good day for footbag but lets take a step back and check out a little before today. My Mosher is in the mail. The money has been sent to Jorden for his video. They should both be coming within a week or two so im ready for that. Played yesterday at Dave's but i sucked and couldnt do anything.

Then last night i stitched my first four panel. It was made with crushed panne that my mom had lying around. It was ok except for the blind stitch and the filler(Beads). It was way too light and roly. Then I made 2 more this morning. The second one was better because I figured out the blind stitch but it leaked a little at the seams because I filled it with really fine sand that I found. The third one was way better and I actually played with it. Not the best but its gotta break in a little before i pass judgement. I'm in the middle of number 4 now and it looks really really good at the moment.

Then I played today. did better than yesterday. some really good runs.

barrage
fairy same whirl(awesome trick)

i think i figured out my drifter problem. i just need to set closer to myself. and i footed tourque a million times. i could feel it but it just wouldnt stick. and finally, after i hit barrage i was messing around with barraging sets and got a few. i couldnt play out of it though.

7/3/06(4th of July Eve)

Short session with Dave at the lit tennis courts for about 45 minutes.

Hilights
torque

7/4/06(4th of July)

Played about an hour and a half.

Highlights
16 osis(old record 7)
flip paradon
flip legbeater
flip ducking pdx mirage
flip dlo
57 stong side consecutive clippers

I was thinking that I hadnt had a nice long list in a while. And I was hoping today I could change that. The list is ok but watever. The only reason it isn't longer is cause I footed things I just didnt seal them. pdx drifter, smoke, torque again, barfly, ducking legover. All footed but now sealed. O well.

Had 2 sessions today. The first one wasn't very good. Didn't do anything special. The second one however, not my best, was pretty good.

Highlights:
fairy muted ss whirl
pdx drifter(footed flip)
my 2nd torque ever
blurry whirl(2nd 5)(footed flip)
pixie paradon(3rd 5)(1st 3dex)
backside blur(4th 5)
weaving clipper

I was so close to dlo bsos, fairy same dlo, flip atomsmasher, spinning clipper, barfly bs, diving clip>ducking clip>rpt. So my list probably would have been considerably longer if I hadn't been tired from continuous playing. Also, I'm not eating very healthy, not sleeping enough or sleeping too much, and I don't give myself enough time to recharge after playing. So I'm going to work on those things this summer and see if it helps.

Also, did any of you see that new bag Johnny Suderman posted today. It's mine.

I like reading your blog. It would be great to see some videos soon too. I don't think I'm alone in that request. :-)

Good shred yesterday at the library. First time I played there. It was pretty sick. Awesome spots everywhere you looked. I was really happy with the way I played. It was the best in a while.

Highlights
ripwalk>blur bs
dimwalk>ripwalk>blur
ducking legover
ducking osis (1st try)
Almost hit pheonix again
ripwalk>ss butter>rpt
major improvement in ALL sets

I know theres a ton more but its the day after and I kinda forgot some stuff. Anyway, after that good session I had a completely crappy time at work. It was bad. Plus my feet hurt from playing because I didn't have a chance to rest between playing and work. Bummer.

Highlights
bs smear
flip barrage
dada curve bs
toe dada curve bs
pdx dada curve bs
pdx whirl bs

I just wasn't in the zone today. I couldn't hit and of the links that I was hitting friday. I guess mondays are bad over the summer too. :?

Had an hour long session today. I played in gunits for most of it because I had some shin splints. But the shoe change didn't help so I went back to lavers.

Highlights
barfly first try
ripwalkx3
ripwalk>blur
drifters midstring

I filmed my session. Just to see how I play. But none of it will end up here because my camera's old, my computers old, all that good stuff.

I think my recent slump is due to the fact that I haven't reall schooled in ages. So I'm just gonna do that for a while. I haven't been happy with string length for a while so this should help that as well. It's time to get down to business.

So the last few days I've taken a step back. Just schooling and drilling the simpler stuff. Its all feeling better already. I've been working my pdx mirages so that they're more relaxed and efficient. I've worked whirls and there's major improvement there. String length is getting longer which is real good. And I've just been playing easy tiltless with bops and basic 3s(whirl, symp mirage, far osis, and ducking clip), to make my string longer.

Highlights from today:
whirl>ducking clip>rpt
22 infinity(new record)
7 contact osis>whirl>rpt(really happy with this)
40 contact mirage>legover>rpt(porbably more, I think I counted numbers twice)
8 contacts infinity>ss butter> rpt
17 contacts butter>pdx mirage>rpt

I've been staying away from 4s and stuff just trying to kill the basics and hopefully make the harder stuff easier. I only tried one new trick today, ducking ps mirage and footed it first try then left it alone.

So a few more sessions like this and I should be able to just shredding for a while. I don't want to stop using sets for too long because the last time I did i lost the almost completely.

Have another shred today. I worked long strings and basics again today, but I also practiced my sets a little again so that I wouldn't lose them. Just made sure I could hit them all bsos. Mostly stepping and pixie. I'm not as worrid about fairy and atomic because I'm not as good at those yet. But now there's more filler thanks to practicing long strings. Not much of a highlight shred. More gratifying.

Highlights
osis>far osis>rpt
nagellam first try

So much stuff in the mail its making me crazy. I hope it comes soon.

OK, these past few days have been good for footbag. On monday I got my johnny suderman bag. Too bad I didn't have any time to play on monday. Plus it was hot as hell. Here it is

Image

Pretty nice.

Then yesterday I got my copy of Jorden's video. I watched the whole first disc before work and then about half after. Then I played. Used my brand new bag just so if I sucked I had an excuse. Actually, it probably helped me with string length(what I was working on) because I got some pretty long ones, but nothing spectacular.

Today, I played at Dave's and that went really well. Played with the new bag again for the first half and hit some pretty nice strings with it. Then we switched to a different broken in bag.

Highlights
-drifter bsos twice(finally got this again)
-ripwalk bsos again
-ripwalk>blur midstring out of nowhere
-a long string with pdx whirl bsos, whirl bsos, and I would've had both toe whirls but I dropped on flip.
-dyno midstring
-torque #4

So I was happy with todays shred. Playing again tonight. (Oh, and new osis record of 22(from monday))

Thanks. Well I played again last night. Nothing good except I hit spinning clipper which I was really happy with because I've wanted to hit that forever. I footed it flip like 4 times but I just couldn't catch it.

Then today me and Dave played again for like 2 hours. I played pretty good. Mucho good stuff but I only remember a few specifics.

smoke
pdx dlo second try

He helped me clean up my pdx whirls. Then I hung out at his house for a while. He gave me some of this tab energy drink which was like 3 hours ago and I'm really wired right now but I don't want to play again because I don't want to be too sore to play tomorrow.

So I figured I'd screw it and I decided to play off the tab and it turned out really good. Spinning, baby.

Highlights
gyro mirage
spinning butterfly
spinning osis
flip spinning clip
spinning legover(merkon?)
and spinning clip midstring

I've been waiting for a day like today for a while. I'm very happy with how I played overall today.
