Played pain-free today, hit some challenges:

5 unique consecutive ducks: ducking clip>ducking clip>ducking butterfly>ducking butterfly>ducking osis

10 consecutive [unique] double dexes: dimwalk>schmoe>magellan>parkwalk>sidewalk>ripwalk> sidewalk>ripwalk>blur>legbeater

and SS toe whirl>bubba RPT (that's pretty fun)

Chris filmed a few strings of me last night... here is one:

http://www.footbag.org/gallery/show/6102

It's just an average BOP string... (I did get up to 57 once last night). Can someone tell me what's wrong with my arms? I want to fix that, I don't like the way it makes my style look.

So some of you probably know I got into Wind Ensemble at the end of last year--top band in my school. Well, we just had chair auditions, and I hella messed up my minors, so I thought I would get 4th or 5th chair, but I ended up getting second! Hell yeah!

I tried to shred on Wednesday and completely blew... lower back pains like crazy, and shin splints.... I took a day off, worked out Friday and Saturday, and played tonight, pain free. Notably....

-vertigo, sealed to a string (footed flip)
-dolomite, sealed to a string
-half of Rubberman, both sides
-8 unique tripless... so many times
-footed Superfly

Symp. double downs are craaaazy feeling, and painful as hell if you do more than a few. But still, pain free. I think I can keep this up in the off-season as long as I shred less and work out more.

You said "hella." It's over.

So I live in front of a tributary of basically the nastiest alley in Denver Proper. The usual, half-paved, full of broken liquor bottles, trash, feces, syringes, AIDS, etc., right? Yeah, so I was just taking out the trash, and since we've switched to those GLAD no-tear or whateverthefuckthey'recalled bags, we can fit a lot more trash in them before we have to take it out. More trash = heavier. Anyway, I was taking out the trash, and it was cold, and I wanted to hurry inside. So, being the wannabe cool little bitch that I am, I go to just throw it in the dumpster from a distance and go back inside to the generous, all-encompassing warmth that is my house.
However, as I peak my wind-up, then go to throw it, I realize mid-throw that it's gonna need to be about two feet farther forward to clear the dumpster, or it's just gonna hit it and fall back on the ground--who wants that? Nobody. So, as it peaks and I'm about to let go, I instead lunge forward a couple feet... or something. So, my alley being half-paved, and thus full of shitty gravel and shards of glass, my feet lose their grip. As I finally relinquish my grip on the garbagebagstrap, I am slammed, hands and knees, onto this nasty alley floor by all the force of fuckin' Jupiter.
I didn't even get to see the bag succesfully clear the dumpster to its final destination. Not that it really mattered, as I was preoccupied by the most searing, horrific, all-encompassing pain I have ever experienced in my entire life.
Both of my palms and my right knee were torn to shreds by the horrible, gravel/microscopic glass blend. My knee not to as much as an extent, as I was wearing jeans (which are shaken, but still alive), though there are still a few sizeable, blood-producing gashes on it. The knee, however, is showing signs of developing into one of the scariest fuckin' bruises I have ever had. There are no visible signs as of yet, but I can feel it....

As for my palms--namely my right one--I am seriously looking at the raw flesh underneath it right now. I am typing with just my fingers, and my palms hovering away from the keyboard, right now. It is proving kind of difficult.... Ow, it just stung.

Times like these I seriously wish I had a digital camera. Because my palms look something like this. Image

filmed a little yesterday. Me and coco were both... not quite on top of our games... so there's nothing quite spectacular. But I still encourage all of you to watch it.
Also, Al is an idiot and filmed everything sideways. So cock your head 90 degrees to the left when you do.

not quite sure why i post here.... things have been pretty shitty (literally) lately.

something I ate has given me diarrhea for like the last 3 days. it blows. out my butthole.

yesterday my boss yelled at me for throwing a chicken wing at a customer, decreased me to 5 days a week, and also said I couldn't have the days i requested off - which means no US Open :( :( :( :?

god I wish I could go! *everyone's* going! I'm like, totally the loser now that I can't go. no ending summer with a bang or anything like that... just regular old work followed by regular old school a few days later. ugh I'm missing out so much.

I just want to break down and

idk, I would have sucked anyway. it's not like I can actually school footbag anymore... any time I get near making any progress i just get injured or some shit. fuck it; I don't even think it's worth it anymore.

Peace out modified. guess I'm off to be a tiltless working class schmoe.

luv,

I thought that shit only happens in movies ? ? Anyways, cheer up buckaroo, there are other losers that aren't going...like myself. Of course I'm gonna try to make it to Funtastiks...except it hasn't been announced yet. Have you recovered from that alley raping ? Hope you start to feel better stephen. I'm in the same boat, I'm gettin sick to, but not like yours. Peace *d/l'ing* your vid.

*edit* props on your strings man, good stuff. Only complaint is...my neck is sore now.

Yeah, I'm not going either... and I'm injured too. Still, that sucks about work. Try to find something else that can keep you happy. Video games? Books? Alcohol? Everyone gets down once in a while; you'll bounce back.

Sweet pics steeevie.

Stop being injured and get better hacky sack shoes, I am getting fed up with people ruining their bodies because it is traditional to wear some shitty old tennis shoe!
