I'm off to shred with the Japanese guys for the last time ever today
I'm off to shred with the Japanese guys for the last time ever today
Shreded with the Japanese guys for the last time ever on friday afternoon
it was a great day, ended up having 16 shreders turn up! 10 in lavers!
Unfortunatly 5 of those pairs of lavers just flew back to Japan
.
I hit vertigo finally.
Foodprocessor set into my back again.
Toby hit PS whirl
.
I have to do a routine for over 200 students at church on tuesday night, still trying to work out what i'm doing!

I posted this in the video forum, but for those that don't view that forum, here it is again:
I performed a 1:33 min footbag routine for 200 University students at a Student night church i'm involved with. I think it went as well as could be expected for 2 nights preparation, they sprung it on me pretty late but it turned out ok.
The routine was performed as a lead in to the service as something new fun and exiting.

Your right, I did want to go dropless, and I had in some practice rounds. I would have liked some more variety (and difficulty) especially towards the end, but to be honest, the crowd can't tell if i'm using my flip clipper of if i've done far legover > clip > pdx mirage combo like 50000 timessetman wrote:Only 2 drops. that's good, but i think you used too many far legovers and you didn't use often your flipside clipper. the routine wasn't hard, but i know that you wanted it dropless.
The main idea was get across what footbag is and make it look professional (no drops). In any event, I would definatly find it hard to do 80 contacts of hard tiltless let alone guiltless so I don't think I could do it much more difficult anyway :p
Ok I finally have had another shred, played with quantum a bit today and some other bits and bobs, ended up with a pretty good haul for 1 hours of footbag
.
The weather was absolutly fantastic and me and Toby played at union lawn.
New:
Quantum legover
Slapping legover
Quantum osis
Slapping osis
Quantum Smasher (Quantum mirage)
Tripwalk (Quantum butterfly)
Pixie osis
Pixie ss osis
Alpine fudge (Fairy ducking illusion) both sides
Blender bsos
Osis > blurry whirl (I think?)
Pdx whirl > blurry clipper
If I hit anything else new, I can't remember it.

Thanks Kamil! Next shred i'll go for toe blizzard, I don't think it's very hard. Quantum is wierd, it seems almost easier to get stuff off than atomic
.
I calculated today that I can hit about 1000 different footbag moves (including both sides) and Vasek must be able to hit atleast 3400 (including both sides).
I'm in a linux lab at uni, we are working on some wierd ass programming problem. I just hit muted ducking legover and muted fairy ducking clipper both sides lol.
Toby has been wierd recently, he learned rake well enough to do in strings, and then he learned symple swirl and hit butterfly swirl and infinity swirl and dimwalk swirl (again). Now he has been learning dyno, he has got it pretty consistant, can hit it b2b, he thinks it will make blender easier.
Alex asked me to film myself trying to hit surging sets last night, I footed surging far clip a few times and the sets were clean and waist height! Yay
Thx alex!
Right i'm off for lunch, don't worry too much about that maths Jesse, u will be fine

props nic and everyone.
jesse, i am sure you arent too worried.
HAGESY UPDATE.
Well haven't played footbag for at least 3 weeks and i am not missing playing that much. Squash training is going really well. I do strength training 3 times a week (gym), Endurance training everyday, speed training twice a week, and just playing shitloads of squash.
I have been organising lots of drill sessions for the juniors i coach as well. There responding pretty well, and i have high hopes for the state junior titles. There is one i coach, jack sommerville, who if he could put it together mentally could be the no 1 player in qld this year for his age, thirteen. Last year he finished no 4 in the under twelves, and he lost to the no.3 in five sets. Due to that loss he missed out on the queensland team. He played that same guy about two weeks ago, and won in 3 easily. However the no 1 and 2 are from brisbane, and it will be interesting to see how much they have improved.
I played on thursday night and won easily.
the score was
9-0 9-5 9-2
i am feeling really nimble and fit.
My next tournament is at the end of april, it is like a club challenge, so me being the no 1 at my club i have to play the no 1s from other clubs. I am looking forward to the challenge, as i know they are not training as hard as me.
I bought some shares in a gas company as well. I am pretty interested in that sort of stuff. I am pretty driven to work really hard, and save more money to buy some more shares. I think it is a good drive to have.
So i think thats enough crapping on. I am pretty happy with my life at the moment. Exercise, work, study, squash is what it is and thats ok.
peace
