This is my latest bag. It's for Peng.... note the pink.
It sort of started as an accident, but there's a picture in this bag...
This is the man. Pink. The colour of flesh, under the skin, because skin colour really amounts to nothing.
There is vegitation and stone all around him
The stream of water and the ray of sunlight nourish the vegitation that the man lives in.
The fire underneath him is what keeps him going.
Cool, eh?!
Keep it real

OK heres bag # 6, its for a shredita friend of mine, Sanne!!
its essentially a two sided soccer ball, just like if you flip the polar panels of a claw design
its royal purple/bright orange, plus i put one hex of blue on it because i damned well felt like it.
heres a pic of each one of the sides:

and heres the transition side shot:

im pretty pleased with it, its 60.10 grams, with the intention of removing 5 grams or so after its a little more broken in. fill is standard tiny beads and 8 lead.
its gonna rule, i can feel it!

It's called bipolar, Sam. Nice job! I love the touch of blue you put there too.

i think "bipolar" has by now established itself as an official name for this pattern!mosher wrote:When Waylon says "It's called bipolar" he means that that is the name that Peng and I have given to that pattern just because we needed to call it something.
I don't know of any more official name than that though.

aye!
it makes sense to me, in fact i wouldnt be surprised if ive used that term without knowing it was specifically this pattern...
tom you and peng are an inspriation to me... remember i made the red/white claw like yours?
@snacks..
i used bright orange, royal purple, and just one hudson blue
my camera makes the colors look just a little wierd.
as it gets a little dirty though the orange calms down and looks really nice, plus the'yre all relatively thick, at least my batch

This baby arrived today. Bitchenly sweet. Tight stitching, not much gather which I like and medium weight still stalls great. SETS LIKE F^&*$ING PERFECT. I just think about where I want it to go and it goes there. I'm lovin' this bag. Obviously I need some time to play with it some more, maybe I need to break it in? I dunno but I just wanted to post that this bag has arrived in Austin today and I am very happy!Matt Cross wrote:
this is bag 16. It's about the size of an abshire standard, 48 grams or so, and getting closer to what I want my bags to be. I tried a little something different with the fill, I added little scraps of facile. Josiah tells me it adds to bag softness and squishiness.
The last few bags have gone to RFA members and a guy in Fred Shred. Bags are fun!!! too bad it hurts my arm!!!
edit: ps this color is a bit different than reality, the footbag is really purple and orange.
edit 2: it has a home!
EDIT: Matt, keep numbering your bags. That is really cool! It kind of gives it a very special personalized feel knowing that this was the sixteenth bag you've ever made.

ok this is number seven.

just slightly bigger than a golf ball, 60.3 grams.

plays really nice, as its a little bigger than im used to so it feels broken in.

theres a lot of gather, i need to stitch deeper with the same pattern and i feel im closer to a consistent product.
not sure where this one will go...
