nice work on the clippers - doing so many is great for concentration and can easily help with other areas of your game.

One of my biggest problems with thinking about a goal midway through it, like you said "this one will be 150+" or I might think "this one is going to be a dropless routine" - too often you think that, and then soon after drop it!

Good work with your exercise streak, almost 100 now - that's awesome.

I hate that feeling and the drop almost ALWAYS comes soon after. I was glad I was able to push through last time. Next stop: 200. But I'll take a break from really pushing. Or will I?

Vertical Pull:
40 reps (+36 pts)
Horizontal Pull:
10 reps (+13 pts)
4 reps (+5 pts)
the set of 10 was too fast. Second set was better. keep trying for 10 with good pace.
Body Weight Jackknife Squat:
35 reps (+12 pts)
35 reps (+12 pts)

Superbowl party and Star Wars Mini's later today. Let's see how I'll do...

Hey Kevin, thanks a lot man. You need to get to a pretty dark place to have the type of motivation I have... As for PS Whirl's... I can hit them on my strong. Sometimes. I'm just learning symp whirl on my flip. But I don't really have a camera. I have a decent webcam that I use once in a while, but I need to clean out my living room to be able to. Next time I'm filming I'll be sure to get a PS Whirl for your project.

Footbag Tonight:

 parodon BSOS
 spinning clip > swirl mid string
 36 tiltless
 flip symp whirl again
 flip hop-over (first time)
 paradon > barfly

Wow, pretty happy with a few of those things. Flip parodon started making sense to me. That is sweet. The last link made me fling the bag with glee.

35 reps (+7 pts)
36 reps (+7 pts)
Knee Tuck:
32 reps (+5 pts)
32 reps (+5 pts)
32 reps (+5 pts)

Abs where burning at the end. But then again, my arms are still burning a bit. Still can't believe I'm getting such a good workout from wall pushups. Who knew?!?

I found my old list of 1 add drills and went to town. Think I'll try and do this once a week for the next little bit. Thoughts on it:
-Flying outsides or weird but I can see them being a huge building block for symp whirls.
-shoulder stalls are hard and kinda pointless.
-sole stalls are hard but I really wanna get good at them.
-I sorta figured out frigidosis and really like them.
-I tried doing a bunch of toe>toe clockwise spins before figuring out that flip spinning clipper was a clockwise spin... I did get one toe>toe! No inspinning clippers though

I mostly worked on strings. Got to around 20 a few times. meh. Was happy with pixie whirl > Paradox Mirage rpt. That was a self goal that I get to cross off the list.

Had to cut the session short as my wife went to bed. I got pretty close to the 1k mark I shoot for though. But I ate poorly today. Had 3 treats. . . It's not going to be the start of something bad though. Tomorrow will be interesting as I don't have all my normal work foods in stock atm.

sen wrote:I bought the Vasek Manual last night. Been meaning to for a while, so while I had my card out for buying Units I headed to Freedom and made the download. Been reading it this morning. I'm supposed to write down what I would really love to do in Footbag and I figured writing them here would be a good place:

 I want to use footbag as a fitness routine
-I've mentioned it before in my blog, but to keep playing I need to enjoy it and to enjoy it I need to be getting better. So...
 To become guiltless
 To do 500 clippers consecutively (Yes, I stole right from the manual. I like the goal!)
 To hit ripwalk>ripwalk
 To hit a beast
 To keep playing 20, 30 years from now.

As, you can see none of my goals are competition oriented. I don't plan to travel and compete much. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to go to more, but the funds usually aren't there, and so I don't want to set my self up for dismantlement in that regards. Also, many of my goals are a long ways off. I haven't hit a single 6 add move, and haven't even hit a 5 add move in 3 years, but I will hit a beast one day. OK, back to reading.
That post was just over a year ago. And tonight I get to check off a goal:

 Ripwalk > Ripwalk :!:

Ya, I'm pretty happy.

Workout:

Jump Rope:
0:06:00 (+28 pts)
Vertical Pull:
100 reps (+90 pts)
done fast
Horizontal Pull:
8 reps (+10 pts)
5 reps (+6 pts)
Body Weight Jackknife Squat:
25 reps (+8 pts)
25 reps (+8 pts)
25 reps (+8 pts)

Then Footbag:

 blur both sides
 ducking legover both sides
 ripwalk both sides
 ripwalk > ripwalk twice
 blurry whirl (footed flip)

Ya, starting to figure out stepping which is a summer goal for me, and will help with another goal of 10 contacts of shuffle. I think my shuffle record now is 3 or 4. I also hit stepping same clipper a bunch on each side. Something I remember Bob telling Nick to school before all the other stepping stuff. Could resist trying other stepping tricks though.

So, I had KFC for supper. 3 piece meal with a pepsi. It was tasty, but so so SO not worth it for how I felt afterwards. I pushed in a big workout so my calories balanced. Won't do that again. for a while...

PS As I was flipping through old pages of the ole footblog I seen lots of posts from people giving props and saying I motivate them and things like this. It made me happy. Thanks for being such a great community.

ripwalk>ripwalk is a great achievement to show progress on both sides of your stepping - next up ripwalk>sidewalk rpt (either way around).

It's great you have kept up with your exercises, and also with the blogging of it (and footbag too!)- it's easy to lose inspiration for these things, but I think that continuation allows other people to be inspired.

Ripwalk x2 was one of my biggest achievements. I remember air-shredding it endlessly before I could actually do it. Congrats. I'm interested to see more before and after photos too! You're so dedicated!!

Thanks Erik. I did plenty of Air Shredding too. PS: What did you think of the BH Story Arc? And thoughts on Maul?

Wall Push-Up:
40 reps (+8 pts)
40 reps (+8 pts)
40 reps (+8 pts)
Knee Tuck:
40 reps (+5 pts)
40 reps (+5 pts)
40 reps (+5 pts)

And that's a level up on the Knee Tucks. I might do them another day just bank it. We'll see how I fell.
