Im glad I'm not the only one whose chin disappears when smiling like that :)

I like how Genzu wrote that he doesn't REALLY want to clog up your blog. I read that and was like 'Ha! Maybe just a little, then??'

So I don't want to eat sugar anymore. Supposedly 40g a day is good for you, but after that your just takin' a big sugar cane and ramming it up your anal cavity *visual*.

So check, here is my day in sugar:

- Peanut Butter Captain Crunch, 2 bowls : 18 g
- Chicken wrap for lunch : no clue, ill say 5 g
- gatorade at my session - 72 g (4 servings)
- my ceaser salad dressing - 4 g
- random soda - 10 g
- goldfish - 1 g

Ok, so what does this tell everyone? First off, the captain runs a pretty nice ship, with only 9 grams per serving. Big ups to captain crunch. Actually, why we are on him, lets talk. Captain crunch is the worst cereal on earth. The only good version is the one with peanut butter. And they arent even related looks wise. The smart people at post or wherever they make the shit should just scratch version number one. If you like orginal captain crunch close this page and never talk to me again. Thanks.

Glad I got that out of the way. So then we look at the gatorade, or what I now like to call, death water. The nice people at gatorade throw so much frikken sugar in there its retarded. I love gatorade too. I even have a lightning bolt tatooed above my finnish pride. But I shot about 2x my daily allowance in one session/bottle. SAY WHAT? And im not even sweating cool colors. I'm going back to water for now.

Soda. I didnt really pay attention to the labels today, so who knows how sugary that shit is for you, ill pay attention tommorow.

And now we get to my favorite part. I'm looking online for this sugar allowance stuff and I'm munching on my favorite underwater snack. I cower in fear as I flip the bag to look at the nutrition facts. My hand quivers as I point my index finger down the side of the package. Past the calories, past the other stuff, and there it is. Sugar. Less than 1 g. Holy cow bell. These little underwater fishies have no sugar in their baked-not-fried-gills. I yelled in delight, scaring my roomate in the process.

So whats the conclusion? I dont really know. But tommorow i am aiming at 40 grams of sugar. So that means I should drink water, load up on goldfish, and just play it smart. Wish me luck on my journey into the world of non-sugary foods.

I dont know why I'm doing this but if i start hitting nemesis x 20 some random kid in germany is going to never eat sugar again. Bien! (i know, thats spanish, but i only speak the language of freedom (english))

I have to write a spanish essay. shit.

i played today, and i played well. you know what that means!

peace

Sugars are processed very differently during and after workouts. It is also the type of sugar you are talking in. I.e. are they low GI or high GI carbs. I wouldn't worry about your sugar intake then again I can't hit nemesis x 20 nor am I sponsered by a sugary cake like product.

So I just spend the past like 50 minutes cleaning my room. It reeks. REEKS. I think it's just cuz me and my roomate eat a lot in the room and someone spilled something and it just like, killed it. Idk, but it frikken sucks. I vacuumed, cleaned up all my thread and stitching stuff, man, I was like, Betty Homemaker for a lil bit there.

Slept for 3 hours this afternoon so my energy is gyro miraging (surging). I really have to do some english homework but I'd rather just sit on my computer and do my laundry. Speaking of laundry, I have to take out my sheets.

brb.

Back. Bed made. Yea bitches.

So I really like the new jorden footage. his style is pretty hot. I like those sleveless shirts.

Set up an air freshner.

Oh ok, so here was my diet today:

- scrambled eggs
- 1 glass of choco milk
- 1 glass of normal milk
- chicken finger wrap
- half of a tuna wrap
- 2 pieces of pizza
- a sobe
- like 3 glasses of water

Check that. Really low sugar. And I feel alright. Kinda low on energy, but maybe I can ween myself off sugar or something? Your body doesn't need it. Shit man I should take a nurtrition class.

I know I spelled that wrong.

Out.

30 second nutrition class:

Your body needs sugar. Sugar is one of the primary energy sources for the cells.
All fruits contain sugar (fructose). This sugar is MUCH better for you and more digestible than refined sugar.
Refined sugar:
1 tablespoon of refined sugar=lowered immune function for 4 hours. 6 tablespoons of refined sugar=lowered immune system function for 24 hours.
Refined sugar causes inflammation in the body and feeds cancer cells.
To break down refined sugar, you use enzymes from the pancreas. The american diet contains so much sugar that most adults with a shitty diet have a pancreas that is 2-3 times the size it should be. In the long term this contributes to hypo/hyperglycemia and pancreatic cancer.

Dairy (milk, eggs, cheese): All dairy when broken down clogs the arteries, particularly the carotid artery, contributing to heart disease.
All american cheese contains aluminum (although it's not listed as an ingredient), contributing to ADD, ADHD, and alzheimer's.
When eggs are cooked/scrambled, the nutrients (namely lethecin) are damaged and create free radicals=attack the cells. This applies to all cooked/fried foods.

Flour:
Flour sold in america contains the preservative Bromide. Bromide is a poisionous absorpable metal and can be found in nearly all foods containing flour (bread, pasta, noodles, cookies, ect. ect.). Bromide has nearly the same chemical composition as Iodine. Due to this fact, it can occupy Iodine receptors in the thyroid and stay in the body for a long time, contributing to hypo/hyperthyroid conditions.
When white flour is broken down by the digestive system, it basically becomes GLUE.

These are the basics of the american diet. No wonder why so many people get sick. Combine all this with stress and health insurance companies make millions.

Just got done with my only class for today. Really solid, just some in class reading and discussion. Sweet.

I'm eating lunch with my cousin who also goes to Penn State at like noon. We are going to Panera Bread. For the international reader Panera bread is this bakery/sandwhich place where kids go to feel ritzy because they have 30 types of bread. It's alright.

Tonight I have a dress rehearsel for the talent show. The actual show is tommorow at 7:30. My friend told me $2000 is split between the top 3 performers. The dean of the school and the mayor of state college are going to judge. It is basically a bunch of singers/dancers/instrument players and me. So I have originality, but you can't really compare me to the others. I really would like to place well, just so I could be in the paper and spread footbag. But either way an assload of people will be at the show. Including my parents, who are driving here tommorow to watch me. This will be the first routine they've seen in a long time (they didn't come to portland or anything).

My room is starting to not smell as bad. Which is great news.

I have no clue what I'm doing tonight after the dress rehearsel. I am so out of the party scene my friends dont even really bother telling me where they're going because I would just say no. Maybe I'll go see 007 down at the student center. They show free movies every weekend, it's pretty cool.

I want to play footbag. Basically no work to do this whole weekend. Sweet.

Have a nice day.

1. If you have odor problems in your room, an open box of baking soda can sometimes help. People usually leave an open box in the fridge to avoid getting funky smells in there.

2. Sugar isn't necessarily bad for you. Keep in mind that these daily allowances are calculated for the general population, and not necessarily for 20 year old athletes. If you do crazy amounts of draining exercise (footbag), then you need to get that energy from somewhere.

3. That said, certain foods are better sources of energy than others. As others have mentioned, fruit is usually good while refined sugars and trans-fats are the devil.

4. Good luck at the talent show! A couple words of advice, which I assume you already know.

-Use a very big bag. The more visible the bag is to the audience (untrained eyes) the more impressive everything will seem.

-Build the tension. Remember, ATW will blow their minds. So if you start with tiltless and then build up to your crazy fearless ending, they will dig it. If on the other hand you start off with your crazy shit, you lose an opportunity to play the audience.

-Definitely include the following tricks if you can: DATW, pendulum, 2 bag juggling, head stall, ducking/diving anything, sole stalls.

-Nemesis looks pretty similar to ripwalk to the untrained eye.

5. I was similarly disappointed when I started drinking Gatorade and didn't sweat cool colors like the guys in the commercials. :(

A couple years ago I was in a talent show for BSU. Like you I thought I had a good chance. I was the second to last performer. I did a dropless 2:00. Probably one of my best routines ever. I had good choreography and some big tricks. And I thought I had good crowd interaction. I thought I had won! Then they announced the winners and I didn't even make top 3. I got 4th. :(
Moral of the story: people don't like footbag. You're better off playing the piano.

You could win. I think it's a good idea to do some "crowd pleasing" stuff like Ken said.

Urg, too bad i cant eat anything i liked eating anymore. pancreas x3 8O

Good luck with the show, i hope you blow the piano players out of the water, but i also hope you dont do a pendulum or a head stall :? i know that they are crowd pleasers and Ken is dead on about the people watching probably like pendulum over nemesis, but still... thats tight your parents are going too. its cool they care enough to care about what you care about.

Sorry to jump on the bandwagon of sugarposting, but please do inform yourself before severely altering your diet. Looking before you leap and all. You've been active, fit, and healthy up to this point (to my knowledge), so there's certainly no urgent need for change.
