Welcome. We used to kick regularily every Sunday at 2 PM at RIT campus. If some of the other members still find this day and time to be convenient, I would be willing to attend.

Sweet movie Mike, a lot of cool combos of course I saw a lot of it live when we sessioned the other night.
So yah, I fell off the face of the earth for a little, had an interesting trip, but now I'm back. After ECC, wish went really well, shit hit the fan and I didn't play footbag for 3 weeks or more.. I went home the weekend after ECC and then on the way back the fuel pump in my truck went up so I ended up staying home for a couple extra days trying to figure out what went wrong, whether i should fix, if i could fix it, or if i should just get something new. But it was something simple and it got fixed. But while I was home my cousin offered me a free trip to cancun, mexico at an all inclusive resort... no way i was going to pass that up. Had a damn good time down there getting drunk on the beach, being really lazy, snokeling in the ocean and an underground cave (cenote), and all that. Even got to impress a few mexicans and tourists when I got bored and took out a sandman and hit nice little 10 contact shuffle string for them. They asked a few of the normal questions, but we left quickly after that to Tulum (mayan ruins on the coast). Had a real interesting drive back from La Guardia airport in Queens, driving my cousins car, which is standard and I haven't drove a standard in over 3 years and I have only driven a standard 3 times including the trip from the airport. I got on the triborough bridge just after a yankees game got done... pain in the ass. but i made it, only stalled once.
But finally after all that excitement i started playing footbag again, and have had 4 or 5 sessions in the past week and a half. Got to play with Mike for the first time in quite awhile, he is definitely looking/playing good. As for me, I'm out of shape pretty bad... But I have been working a lot on basic downtime components and hopefully in the next couple weeks I'll regain my endurance along with some new variety in my game. Been working a lot of DLO, far (symple?) osis, whirl, drifter, and spinning.
New stuff from past couple sessions
DLO > PLO (rpt)
toe set ducking DLO (first try ever)
5 minutes later, first try alpine smog which i hit 2x both on first attempts
gyro mirage bsos x3 , planted on a couple on the flip...
zooming clipper bsos
swirl > far symple swirl , not new but havent hit it in 2 years..
pixie ss clipper > far ducking legover (rpt)
Going home for the next couple days.. but hopefully I'll beable to play once or twice.

Just wanted to note in this blog: whenever Kickass 2 is confirmed and dated sometime this year (around September, I think), there's a chance I might make a bus ride to Rochester and hitch a ride with any RFA crew member going up to Kingston. Is that alright? I would be glad to pay for gas and such, or stitch up a bag for my troubles. I think this would be the cheapest for me just to reach this footbag event.

waylon, it would make most sense for you to get a bus to the syracuse bus terminal just off i-81, right by carousel center (the huge mall) and get someone to detour off 90 and pick you up. that would probably be cheaper than going all the way to rochester, and you wouldn't have to ride all the way there, then back to syracuse before heading north on 81. However, if it's not much cheaper to go to syracuse, you might still consider rochester for the sake of convenience.

Congratulations on your moves and combos. I have seen you hit a few of those in person and they looked great. Also, your double legovers and pretty tight, and I suspect they will only get better.

Waylon, I am not driving, but if you got to Rochester then I'm pretty sure you would be taken care of from there. Anything to get Waylon on the kickasser boat!
Aric, I agree that we should have weekly sessions. If someone wants to name a time to meet each week, then I will be more likely to find a way out on a regular basis.

problem was that i had to do 4 hours of SAT studying as a trade for them driving me up there. lol. oh well, anything for a good shred.

Sunday Session! 2 o'clock, same place! Who's going to be there? More huge sessions like the one two weeks ago are required. I'm going to play with Greg tomorrow and see if he wants to come too.
Yesterday I went to the first juggling club session of the semester. On the way there there were people kicking with a sandmaster, so I played for a few minutes and hit Mobius bsos in pants. They liked all the Pdx Whirls too. At the juggling club I hit Reactor>Pdx Torque bs first try, and a perfect Fairy Muted Flapper>Gyro Mirage midstring. I want to work on hitting Sumo>Reactor>Blurry Torque both sides, but that last link will take a lot of work. Other stuff too.

Hey it's always cool for you guys to come out. We'd always like to have more people at our sessions. It would be awesome to have more regulars whenever the RFA meets.
You probably didn't find anyone out playing today. I woke up with a mean cold and exhausted from the night before, so I decided not to make the trip to RIT. But I plan on being there nearly every time from now on.
Do you guys still have mine and Aric's phone numbers? You'll probably need them in the future to find us, since we change shred spots alot due to weather and stuff.
