Thanks Ken :) The new bag plays pretty well actually. And I'm excited for you guys. It'll be great for you to have a regular shred partner for the summer. I'll bet you guys can learn a lot from each other.

So yeah, tonight... AWESOME session. We got a new guy, Greg, and tonight was his first session. He learned consecutive toe stalls and clipper bs in skate shoes! It was insane how fast he picked up on stuff. Looking forward to teaching him more. Nathan had some insane runs with some 6's and lots of 5's. Ivan is about to hang up his baby Lavers and start trying on some big boy Lavers. He hit his first Blur tonight, and had some DLO's and was also so close to Eggbeaters. I had the best session I have ever had in my entire life. I felt Nathan's drills working their magic.

Highlights:

 Walked into the session and one of my first few tricks was fucking HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER!!!! So new! Never thought I'd hit that shit in a million years. I just learned proper drifters the other day and now double drifters??? Are you kidding me, Wendy?
 Shortly after that, I unexpectedly footed Fury! It was the closest one I've ever had. I will hit that so soon. It was on my toe, then just decided to fall off.
 Insane runs. Like I questioned myself during one run, midstring and said out loud, "Are you even Nick Polini?"
 40+ contacts Guiltless (Stuff like Butter, Gyro clipper, ducking clipper, osis, ss butter, spinning clipper... Still, for me, that's awesome. I stopped because I ran out of breath and not because a drop *thumbs up*)
 Whirligig (1st time clean)
 Food Processor.. So effing clean and best one I've ever hit
 Blurry Torque.. Probably the best one I've ever hit
 Pdx Blender bs.. Easiest time I've hit it on flipside.
 Variety was off the hook tonight! I was hitting runs like Stepping Near Mirage> ss Whirl> Blur> Butter> (controlled) Drifter> (controlled) Drifter> Ducking Pdx Mirage> etc.. If you've kicked with me, you know Nick Polini doesn't hit that sorta stuff... Well, he used to not be able to :)

Thanks to Nathan's baby tricks and tips, I can actually finally see myself taking that next step up in my game. Can't thank you enough dude.

Oh another thing... FOOTBAG CURES THINGS! I went to this session with a bad back because of sleeping on a stupid foam pad when my air mattress popped the other day. I started kicking and warming up and holy shit, I sit here with no back pain. So wonderful.

At the end of the session, it was just Ivan, Nathan, and I. We were all talking about living together next year. We're all really excited for it. We already have plans of turning my boring living room into a shred room with foam padding. And pranks were mentioned... lots of pranks... and it sounded like they were directed toward me lol We'll see about that, Ivan and Nathan don't know that I was the expert pranker in highschool  Really can't wait for my current ASSHOLE ROOM MATES TO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!! I wish they could have heard that. Well one is an asshole, the other is just always playing video games. Meh. Enough rambling, sir. Yes sir, sir. You're still rambling. No one wants to read that shit. Well maybe if they... No. No, Shut the fuck up. You're mean. I will slap you with a wooden feces-covered spoon if you don't end this post right now before it gets any worse. ... Muh... SPOON!!! k fine.

Solo tonight. Drilled a lot.

 Flip PS Whirl! First time hit clean
 Drilled Swirl Sets
 Almost had Swirling op Legover BSOS, but just toe'd the flip one which I still haven't hit. Soon though. Hit a ton on strong side, which before today, I probably hit only 3 ever.
 Swirling Blender! New trick. Nice.
 Vortex> Mobius on strong side, almost on flip. I'll work on it.
 Pdx Blenders bs
 Reverse Swirl> Drifter rpt

All of this was done with this bag I just finished stitching... #33. best yet.

Inspired by a Bear Bag that Jackson bought. It was all black with 1 red pent. I thought neon spikeys would look dope on it.

Dam Nick you are a true ripper! 40+guiltless really impresses me
I feel like I strive for control rather than big adds in my own game, as getting that steady guiltless flow is much more selfsatisfying than hitting 4s and 5s.

That being said, hpdrifter-holy shiiiit!

If you end up living with piper and Ivan I am going to have to come down there and show you fellas how to party! (although I know you're pretty good at gettin blacked)

Keep up the good work mate!

Mark, bullshit, that's not "wtf" worthy lol You can easily hit that. I guarantee it. Try it, you'll be surprised. And thanks for the props on the highlights and bag :)

Anton, thank man. HPD totally felt so sick to hit finally. You can definitely come down and crash at our place anytime you want. It's gonna rip so hard there. Can't wait to shred again.

So on the topic of our apartment next year... Nathan and I have been discussing a plethora of footbag-related things we wanna do with it. I can sum it up with this: Our apartment will pretty much be a footbag :P Ivan agreed to it too.

Things we wanna do:

~Turn the living room into a shred room
~Put a giant 32 panel style single flower on the wall
~Stitch corner with spot for all of our fabric and stitch equipment
~Possibly stitch a giant 32 (or 14?) panel and use it as a bean bag
~Decorate the walls with large pents/hexes in different designs
~A table for all of our footbags
~We have other ideas too, but there are too many to list :D

If you have any other cool suggestions for what we could do, we'd love to hear them.

Anyway, footbag... Got home last night and was woken up this morning by Jackson being a ding-dong yelling about footbag. So of course we played.

Highlights:

 Blender> Mobius bs
 Pixie ss Clipper> Stepping Mirage rpt x3
 That last drill made me get a really strong grasp on Pixies finally. I started to fix my flipside. Then I hit Phoenix> hand> Flip Phoenix> Hand. Never done that.
 Pixie op Clipper> Pdx Illusion rpt
 Pdx Illusions were giving me trouble, so I drilled them and realized I wasn't attacking quick enough. So I hit 10 good ones on bs and called it a session.

Oh and I stitched my 1st 14 panel bag (34th footbag) the other day. Don't wanna post a picture of it because the fabric was experimental and didn't work well so it looks like a turd. About to go stitch a 32 now I think.

Oh one last thing that happened and is kinda cool. My mom signed up for a gym membership thing and I guess her membership comes with a free membership, so she membershipped my membership! Now I have a membership! I'm going to be going with her every other day or so I think. Excited for it. Finally going to start cross-training.

I assume you mean like a big beanbag chair? If so, awesome.

The only other thought I had was laying down a permanent foursquare court in the shredroom.

And obviously, take pictures of everything once it's done.

Lol Nice Boats.

Ken, yeah, like a big beanbag chair. And thanks for the 4-square idea, that would be awesome. Pics will be taken, of course.

I spent most of today stitching a new bag.

Image

FunBag #35! Amaretta & USL. It looks great and only has a few things wrong with it, as opposed to my other bags which have all the things wrong with it :P I know what to fix to make it look almost flawless now though, so that's a plus. But I really like this new one.

Um.. Bad news: I was messing after the session earlier and I went to hit Smog, which I don't often do. I went for the DLO and my legover leg came over too far and delivered a heavy blow to my already healing shin. It hurts to walk on it now and it has been stinging all day. I really hope it's nothing serious.

Negative side: I have a debilitating injury that will keep me from playing footbag for a while :'(

Positive side: I have a debilitating injury that will keep me from playing footbag for a while :D I've always been such a junkie, and even during my healing from my initial case of shin splints, I played before I should have and the splints came back. Now that I physically cannot play, it should keep me from playing and hurting myself further. Maybe I can finally heal from this thing 100%. Just gotta not play for 6 or 7 weeks. I plan on spending the time stitching and going to the gym. Also found out I have a personal trainer, so that's kinda wicked.

More bad news though: Since I'm injured and need time to recover, I painfully had to decline my old street performing job :( Probably one of the harder things I've had to do. I got 25 bucks/hour (for 2 hours) and got to keep whatever tips I made. Since I will be in recovery for a while, I realized it would be impossible for me to accept the job. Fuckin' A. And I'm really gonna have to find some money soon, will be job hunting in the mean time. But I was also wondering if people would help me out and possibly buy some bags from me? I'd sell them for $15 since I'm not amazing at stitching yet. But my bags play well. They're no Bearbag (yet) but how cool would it be to say, "I bought my FunBags from Nick Polini". Come on... FUN BAGS. Who doesn't wanna hold my FunBags? You're gonna love my FunBags! Smell my FunBags? Why The Fuck Not?! Take a sniff! Slap a buddy right in his stupid mouth with my FunBags!!! You can even show my FunBags to your mom or dad!

So who would be interested in buying a $15 FunBag from me? A couple people have been asking me lately. I have a ton of colors too. Let me know if any of you are interested. Thanks in advance.

I could use a new paperweight.

:P

What colors do you have? I like the amaretta/USL hybrid style if you have enough of each material still. Also does each funbag come with a custom photo of you salivating over it like in the picture above?

Yo Doug. I would be honored to stitch you a paper weigh lol Yeah, I definitely still have some amaretta I can use. I have a lot of different colors of microfiber and usl too. Planning on getting more if enough people are interested in buying bags from me. Would you be interested?

I don't know if you know who Tom Mosher is, but we were talking about how you're the new Tom Mosher in footbag. You've got so much energy and passion -- it's infectious! I hope you heal up well. Stair raises have really helped me a lot. Older schoolers always swore by toe taps, but they never did anything for me. Stair raises do me wonders. Good luck!

$15? I'm sold. My only preferance to colors would that they be on the lighter side, unless you have pink, purple, and green already. Let me know what's up and how to pay ya.

You should set up a wall-mounted camera for your shred zone.

Erik: It's an honor that you and whoever else you were chatting with said I am the new Tom Mosher. It's a shame I never got to meet him :\ I've heard a hell of a lot about him though and he seems like a cool guy. Thanks for the stair raise suggestion. Will start doing them soon.

Derek: Thanks for the idea! Nathan and I just discussed it actually and we want to do that... For footbag primarily, but also record the outlandish, crazy things we end up doing :P And I put you on the wait list, so I hope to have your bag finished within a handful of days. New fabric should be coming very soon, so I should have more variety and lighter colors. Check out my FuNBaGz thread in the For Sale section. I'll post a link below too.

Tony: If we can get multiple cameras, we'll definitely do multiple angles :P

Darren: You're gonna love my FuNBaGz  :P

So I had a new idea for my FuNBaGz... Check out my FuNBaGz thread to learn more. Click link below.

Stitched a new bag for Zach Jahner. #37. Light Blue Amaretta & a black sparkley microfiber pent on the top and bottom (looks like the bag is gauged. Real sweet-looking) and the rest of the pents are orange microfiber. Really exited for Zach to get it. The fun fact on this one is pretty great.

So I went to the gym for the first time in my life today. I had my personal trainer show me a ton of shit. I told him I wanted to do cross training for footbag and explained it to him and he showed me a bunch of cool shit that will really improve my leg strength and core strength. Going back tomorrow. Looking forward to it :)

Afterward, I coached Jackson and his girlfriend who wants to start kicking. She's got her inside kicks coming along. Jackson got really good at Maverick all of the sudden. He also footed Backside Smear! Slipped off his toe.

I drilled basics and tried some cool stuff:

 Clip> ss Legover> op clip rpt x20 contacts
 Clip> Far Legovering Outside Tootsie Roll> Gyro Toe kick (I wanna turn this into Mobius eventually... When I'm healed and shit.
 Schooled flip swirling sets
 Schooled Cloud Kicks
 Ducked my Nuke (which has nothing to do with my hurt leg. Just wanted to see if I could still do it.)
 Shredded tiltless a little bit. Titless feels so good now. Really snappy. I guess something did me some good.. or something?

Doug Tank's bag tomorrow.

I got a shitload of new fabriccsssssssssss today :D

MUSCLE ON MUSCLE!!!!!!!

...Kinda.

I've been going to the gym on a regular basis and it has already benefited my shin splints. Also, one really cool gain that I'm getting out of it is that I actually have the start to chiseled 6 pack abs! They're hard and firm and holy shit! Nick Polini? With a 6 pack? World's gotta be ending :P All throughout school, I was the puny kid who hurt his arm if he tried to flex his muscles. Now I'm well on my way to a 6 pack and buff arms? I'm really excited to see where I'll be in the next few weeks with it. My legs feel like they have gained more muscle memory too. I was ghosting Eggbeaters last night and it feels like my legs are no longer hot dogs flailing around, and they are now like a laser cutter slicing with precision.

Stitching is going well. Deal right now is, the first 20 bags I sell, I am letting them go for $15. After the 20th bag goes, I'm raising my price to $20. I only have about 10 in line for bags, so hop on the fun train if you're trying to get down with my FuNBaGz. Doug's is almost finished. Gathering his right now. Turning out so awesome. I guess if I'm jealous of the bags that I'm making for others, I'm doing an ok job? lol Sucks giving these away, since I spent so much time on each one, but it's going to be cool going to jams and seeing my bags being played with. I like supplying happiness to all of those who need some. I feel like a legal drug dealer :D

Going to stitch all day today.

Yo buddy, whatchu stitchin' on?
Bagz, buddy. Bagz, buddy.
