nice zeke but yeah ive never played 4 square.

One of our friendly mods should move those 4-square threads out of the other sections into here. I guess one of the unfriendly mods could do it, i just hope they don't expect any thanks.

I thought modified was for freestyle only. Wouldn't this be more of a fitting category on footbag.org?

until not TOO long ago there was a net forum. modified is for footbag of all kinds...dont hate, proliferate

If you're really hardcore into foursquare, it actually relates to freestyle a little bit...moreso than net, at least.

everyone loves four square. And you can incorporate freestyle into four square. And it helps with control of kicking the bag etc, which helps with freestyle. and it's just plain fun.

Funny, I actually incorporate very little freestyle elememts when I play, even if I happen to be playing in Lavers. I like martial art-esque kicks and flying knees.

Best part about 4 square: playing with hackers, net players and shredders at the same time!!!!!

= four square on grass


There are situations, I've found, where cement isn't readily available or there's not enough of it to be practical.

pros:
-grass is softer
-court is portable
-standard size every time
-makes diamonds
-court on a side of a hill for added difficulty

cons:
-trip on ropes (if you trip on ropes staked to the ground you should proabable NOT be playing footbag)
-uneven grass

They play like this in Paris, its is awesome. (Playing on grass rules)
They use net rope...its all marked and super easy to setup. The stakes are built into the rope.

They also have this house rule: If you don't have a beer in your hand, you are out.

Even these drunkards managed to avoid tripping on the rope.

I'd like to see 4 Square COMPETITION on Grass Courts because they represent my name more, I mean because they have all the good things Zeke mentioned.

If you are stupid enouhg to trip over the ropes you should get points deducted jk jk but yea that sounds sick me and my friends have been using the chalk stuff that we obtained from the baseball field by my house. Weve also been using net bags to play becuase we dont want to ruin are 32s....

I used some kind of special spray paint when we were settign up Net Courts for Windy City Open a while back.

That's actualy a pretty good idea, I'll try to remember it when I get this thing set up.

It would be tits if the rope was slightly elevated off the ground , so you'd have to play over it.
