Hey guys, Playing with Goldberg at CSS7 opened my eyes to a lot of trick shots. Also, Kotsakos was good!!

The main one I leared at CSS7 was to do a toe stall and turn away from the person you want to get out.. then you throw the bag at your own chest and do a matrix dodge and hopefully land it in their square.

word up, sam. I saw alot of new techniques. steve and daryl are good ass trick shot peeps. I'm gonna try and practice some of that stuff. daryl is more tricky, steve can just place the thing right where he wants it - in a bad spot for his opponent.

I like to be doing alternating kicks as I am subtly moving towards my target square, at the right time I 'miss' one of my kicks as the bag lands in thier square. Classy.

reverse dragon osis is my weapon of choice

A well placed, very slightly-arced, outside kick to the area about 1-4 inches above the knee on the outside of the body does the trick!

yeah, i once scored on a well-placed, nice clean atomic set. i wish i was better at 4-square.

I think the key to 4 square is to never use the inside kick.

and always use the knee bump.

Yes, sometimes I pick off other people's serves with a flying knee. Or the technique Mosher mentioned but using one or two knee bumps. I usually do no more than two, gives them less time to react.


I've also found knees as a good counter to Mosher's technique. Assuming that you are almost toe to toe above the line, do a quick (atomic set-like) strike for the bag just as he is about to kick it, keeping your foot tucked underneath you to avoid any contact in his square. Aiming for his weakside (if any) is good or straight for his face if you are feeling a little dirty.

I'm a fan of kicking it so it arcs about 3 inches above their head, and should land in the corner behind them.

Nikolai Lorenzen does this trick alot.

A great trick is to clap your hands up in the persons face you are passing the bag at. Especially if the 2 other person also does it.
Really annoying and it works great.

I used to use my hand to try and block their view. I stopped when they started grabbing my hand and calling interference. Good counter though.

Not a shot but still very tricky. Pretend to walk out of the King's square because you fucked up some how but leave one foot inside. If the poor fool in square 3 is not paying attention he'll eagerly move into YOUR square. Point to him, say hes out and you can join the rest of the players laughing.

i dont remember when it was i saw this first but i think matt cross showed me it, the same matrix style dodge thing but if you have the bag fall between your legs, you can keep it hidden from view longer. really hard to react to. its worked many times successfully.

I have a shoulder bump that I try to quickly knock the bag behind and to the left of other players. Or if I have my back to my target square I'll set the bag as if I'm trying to sneak it over my right side then give it a quick pop with my shoulder to change direction.

I've fallen victim many times to Reile's double tap, man that's annoying. He'll start by sneaking a corpsegrinder just over your line at about knee height and dropping it. Just as you react he'll tap it again and sail it above you. Then he'll change it up next time by doing that same thing but about head level.

Then there's Tom. He throws so many kick fakes and hand swipes after a pass you'd swear there were 6 people in his square playing against you.
