I'll put any changes and updates to modified in this thread.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for things relating to the board itself, post them here.

Unread Topics
Modified will now remember which posts you actually have read and which ones you haven't. It will remember them even after say you log out or use a different computer. In the upper right hand corner of each post, you'll see a little button with an orange document -- you can use that to set a post as unread.

Coming soon... (hopefully)
--View next unread post link on each topic page.
--Mark all as read on the "View unread posts" page. Done.
--Have the links on the "View unread posts" page go to the last unread post in that thread.
--Mark single threads as read on the "View unread posts page"

...maybe more if I can think of some.

Bookmarks
Bookmark all of your favorite threads for easy viewing.

While viewing a topic, you can click on the "Bookmark topic" link at the top left. Then, to view all of your bookmarks, click on the bookmarks link in the menu at the top.

I'll be changing it so it is a bit more usable here in the next few days.

Hey Mike,

Nice changes. I was wondering if you could add back in "View all new posts" I prefer that to viewing all unread posts. I have been using that feature since forever and like it better then "View all unread posts".

Thanks,
Jon

Can you make a 'global' mark all posts read for the frontpage?

It is on the lower left hand corner of the big box with all of the forum names.

I'll try to work something out so you can use something similar to that.

is there a visible link to footbag chat anywhere on modified? Last time I looked, I didnt find it and had to search the "Chat Now" thread.

It is up at the top and says "FootbagChat". You need to be logged in on modified to access it.

I don't suppose it's possible to have the chat link moved to where it lists the users in the chat...? That would be super handy. I had no idea where the chat link was too, until I asked you.

It is there in both places now.

I saw that the chat is a new software. Is there any possibility to retrieve the number of chatting users and have that displayed on the modified hompage (for example below the connected users number)?

I know nothing about the new chat but I've heard that phpBB forums are pretty customizable.

It's already there at the bottom ;-] That's one of the reasons we moved to the new chat software.

yeah man! great work, keep it up. im really looking forward to that threads bookmarking thing, i think thats an awesome idea

i was thinking it would be awesome if we could sort the view posts since last visit page into categories instead of the post time, i think it would be easier to read if they were listed in order of forums, maybe there is an option you could add?
