I'd like to see a vid of nothing but trippy serves. I'm running out of ideas.

Are trippy serves ones that are tough to recieve, but fair? IE, you'd use them in house rules? If so, a pendulum is good for that, tryed it on my friend and it totally confused him.

GOOD NEWS:

There is a video coming out that will showcase four-square like it has never been displayed before. This film is called Freestyle Reality, created by Sam Colclough. It will not be released within the next few months, but keep your eye out for it. It will showcase awesome shred, four-square, and shred/kung-fu style acting.

There was some foursquare on one of Evan Lovely's videos, I think it was called "A Lovely CSS5", and for a while you could see that video on the Freedom Footbags web site http://www.footbag.tv

I haven't visited there to watch any videos in a while, but it might still be up there. It was only a couple of minutes of foursquare action in the middle of what was otherwise a shred video, but it showed Peter Irish, Steve Goldberg, Daryl Genz, Sebastien Duchene, and Shannon Anderson playing, and even the foursquare synched up nicely to the music. I thought it was pretty cool.

In Budda's Best, there's a clip of some 4-square. Quite humorous.

Some of my favorite rules to add:
-lowest score can spike. Too Low rule still in effect.

-losers of hack-offs drop to zero points. GO VOTE!

-no swearing in the squares. Each offence is a point deduction, not an out.

-score from any square.

-king serves only to square with highest score.

-pass must peak over the receiving player's head. Works great on really big squares.

-must kick 2 times before passing.

-pass with left foot only.

-One Eyed Pirate. Whoever invented this is a genius. Cover your left eye with your right hand but your arm has to be above and behind your head.

-Player that eliminates the king takes king's points
---Simply put, "...you only get the king's points if you ace the king..." thanks, Mike! No points are taken away if the king makes contact with the bag before it drops into his own square. In that case it's the king's own fault, he's out but retains his score. The same applies if the king does something else that is considered an 'out' under current game rules. There was an instance where a player who had not kicked the bag at all but did a kick fake to help get the king out. He and the player that actually kicked the bag last split the king's points.
---No self destruction. Several players were keen enough to develope the strategy of intentionally getting themselves out while in the king square (or any square to avoid being a king) to keep from losing their points to anyone else. Any player that self-destructs will lose their points. Any questionable act can be voted on. This will be a mess no matter what...
---You can only win in the king square. It is possible to get more than the required points to win the game while being in squares 1-3, but you still have to get to the final square to officially win and end the game.

Untested:
-must kick it the minimum number of times as your square number. Other players may not interfere until the minimum is reached.

-first person to score x points in a row, without the help of trippy serves, wins automatically. I would think this would work out well in a game with a lot of talented players.

-player with highest score must play with a handicap; cover one eye or kick with weakside only.

-tag team hack-off. You can pick one of the 2 neutral squares to help in a hack-off. Or you can pick a player standing in line to play the hack-off for you while you hold their place in line. Choose wisely, hehe.

-timed 4 square. No points. Person in the king square at the end of a designated amount of time wins

WwwwwwwwOW!
Great Idea's Zeke!! 8O

I have a shirt with 4-Square on it. But I don't know of any video's of it. Certainly not any real good ones yet.

CSS2 was the first time I showed it to people and they loved it. It grew from that point on. A couple times even dominating the tournaments.

Had a couple fun foursquare sessions in O-rock-ah this weekend. Here were some of the better rules:

1. Players outside the circle can vote.
2. Toe stalls, toe kicks only (no clipper based moves or inside kicks)
3. Left leg only.
4. Stalls only.
5. You have to say the name of every move you do, as you execute them. This led to lots of people repeatedly saying "inside kick, inside kick" but I threw down some strings and did play-by-play of my tricks as I did it. Lots of fun.
6. Say a footbag move every time you kick the bag, no repeats allowed.
