Work and school have me too preoccupied for footbag. I wish I had more time to stitch, and even more time to stitch. However, my work life is keeping me busy and being back in school is a good feeling, so deep down I'm getting more and more a sense of accomplishment toward the end of my day. :)

Been making more friends at Hunter and work. I feel jovial and grateful to be able and meet people out of the blue, and build a communicative network from our interactions.

Still owe some people bags. I just feel limited on doing stitchwork at work, and whatever time I have available at college I have to keep towards study. Sucks, but what can you do? This doesn't mean I lied about getting back into stitching; I just need to budget my time however I can.

Met some new peeps in my classes lately. This girl I somewhat knew at a student organization at Hunter befriended me, and now we usually go out and have a cup of tea or soup after class. It's pretty sweet, and a good mood booster. She's taken though.

Next time bloggy.

PS: Calf-bump moves are super dope and super fun, but they're hard to do on a small rolly bag. Large rolly bags are okay, but there's an extent where the bag has to be floppy to make calf-bump moves super fly and controlled. :P

I agree! I do think the worst is when the bag is too light. You have to feel the bump.

Word! haha

I really like reverse whirls, and have just been tricking lightly with a pair of unmodded G-units (worn the eff out!) and jeans right after work yesterday.

Calf-bump reverse whirl bs
Calf-bump eggbeater
Reverse whirl > opp reverse whirl bs
Pixie ss reverse whirl, strong side, both muted and unmuted (hard, took a while)
Osii
Butterflies
Rubber knee mirage bs
etc etc.

Nothing extreme or technical. Just having fun. Didn't go for too long because I would have sweated a bunch.

Man, I haven't been stretching lately, and my calves and quads feel tight and sore already. I'm no spring chicken anymore, that's for sure!

Women's size 8.5! EBAY!

I think they will be a perfect fit on my feet!

The last pair of plaid Lavers I bought were women's size 9, and they went to Jay Boychuck!

edit: Work and school is making me too busy to do much footbag stuff, so I have to relish and cherish every footbag moment I experience right now. Can't let sadness get me down!

Fuck yeah Waylon, you know what is up. Very glad to see you hyper stoked on footbag, even if it is to divulge yourself within a deep rooted shoe fetish :D . I propose that you re-inact the christmas "nintendo 64" video, with you and these shoes when they come in the mail. If you choose to film it, so be it.

Go Footbag. Go way way. I'm sure you're making worlds, right?

I dunno, Boy-Boy, because I would have to set up all of the Christmas ornaments and tree and then wear some tight jammies. My quads and calves would just burst the seams!

Work day was tough. Manager chewed me out for trying to read a passage for a class I ended up missing this morning (had to do a paper). Didn't bring my A-game today, and didn't meet my boss' standard of approval for two major tasks.

Sales and working on the field is my expertise, but being assertive and managing a website layout? I can do it, but I need the web designers on the other line to be motivated as well. And, well, I just didn't have the usual electrifying attitude that I usually have in my work week.

Gotta get my bearings together, and get some sleep tonight! Got revved up my calve gears for footbag tomorrow evening (maybe)!!

Got plaid Lavers, had full of great comments. Eventually got gum stuck on the fabric and had to remove it with hot vinegar and a toothbrush. Dark spot ahoy!

Made a brown microsuede, black facile soccer ball 32. Extra large. Had a couple of solo sessions with it and one hack session with some teens at Union Square. Gave it to Ivon, a longstanding friend of NYFA and a yoga instructor, as a gift. Actually, i owed her a bag for a year, and it just seemed perfect for her.

Funky material, funky girl. Bet she'll like it.

School work and work keep taking up my time. Right now I'm at Hunter doing some research on W.E.B. Du Bois for a presentation Wednesday morning. I have yet to make any new bags. Finishing up on Bruce's, and then starting up on Ken's order because he is in dire need of 32s.

Ken sent me a cryptic short story along with his check, which I got last Thursday. The memo was about the double accounts of man partaking a ship race around the world, and his delirium of failing to fulfill his sponsors in winning said race which soon lead him into writing periodic belligerent diary entries that soon lead into his suicide. I had a small thought in my head that Ken needed footbags to live, just like the Ikea bot that accosted Bart in that one Simpson's episode to which he cried "I need tungsten to LIVE!" We had a short laugh afterwards over it on FB.

So, I'm certain that I won't be able to make it to GRASS, because there's this girl that I've had my eye on for quite some time, an NYU student, and we sort of talked about attending the NYAASC (New York Asian American Studies Conference). This year it's located at NYU on the Saturday that GRASS is happening and it's free food if you register (hammer -> nail). But it also so happens that Michael Moschen is doing a show in the evening of April 17th, and he'll be doing an hour + juggling show. I've seen his stuff on youtube and many an internet web video, and this is just my chance to see him live in person. I'm half ecstatic to watch his performance with this girl, but also half saddened that i won't be able to make it to GRASS this year. Heck, I even gave Johnny Suderman a call complimenting on a bag he made me, and I told him straight off that I will be there in GRASS. And you just don't double-cross your word on a guy like Johnny! Because he's a sweetie. :P

East Coast is certainly a possibility and NYFA Jam sounds like it's going to blow up this year. Can't wait!

Awesome footbag session on Saturday. Weather was perfect, and as my ambition grew, so did my attention to detail on how I was using my body. I brought my A-game. Toe dlo was so on sync, pixies after big toe moves felt comfy, quantum wasn't strenuous, and stepping felt strong. Flip stepping is slowly get into my repertoire of moves; I'm so pysched about this. Soon my one-sidedness will evolved into bs-ness. :3

Life feels good. I'm getting paid, I have fun at my job, I'm learning and opening my mind to new and newer possibilities, and I have a feeling that great things are awaiting me nearby. Sure, I wish I had a bigger slice of the cake, but everything is in every small detail. Once you can appreciate just that, then you are there.

Everything is about flow. Abandon the self, and there you are.

PS: I bought this cool-looking "Free Tibet" t-shirt that looks like pure calligraphy art. I'm excited to get this t-shirt. It's a black V-neck. i feel like a girl. :333
PPS: Got my new batch of elemental footbags from lotus. They are hot! I understand a bit on what Lotus meant in his e-mail that the Funk Freestyler needs more improvements (stitching is a tad tight), but it's a huge leap over the previous model. His 20-panels are money. Can't wait to cover his order after I get done with Ken's stuff.

Bags made to conform into the golfball size as a standard is both frustration and full of suck-itude.

But I'll manage one way or another into making bags at that size for my customers.

My dog is dead. My little brother... is dead.

He died yesterday morning. He croaked in my arms.

He was an old dog. But he was my best friend, my blood.

I feel I should post this here since I broke the news and most of my feelings on facebook, since there are a majority of people that choose not to go on facebook to catch up on people's lives there. Also, I understand if people want to go about their lives living their own positive way, but I could use some comfort during this grieving period of my life.

Even if I kept telling myself to expect the unexpected, or be comfortable in being uncomfortable... this is too much. It hit me hard, and it's still hitting me hard. I'm expected at a footbag demo today, and I can't even see or feel myself playing footbag today.

This is too twisted. My house has one less mouth to feed, one less presence to sense. I don't think I can share my thoughts to anyone through physical mouth-and-voice anymore.

Life has been bearable without my dog. I've been alot of support from my co-workers and friends all-around. I'm smiling again. I'm talking with my family again.

I've been dreaming about my dog alot. Sometimes I would wake up sharply on time in the morning because of dreams about my dog. This is probably a good thing, because I'm sure he wants to keep me alert and all that. But it pains me a little that I would have to escape the dream where I'm playing with him without a care in the world.

I'm thinking about spreading his ashes sometime this weekend, which is the same weekend for the NYFA Jam. If you're attending the NYFA Jam and have, say, a half-hour or so to spare (and if we're touring the city for fun), I'm thinking about going to Washington Square Park to spread his ashes late at night. It's a place where I feel would be a great resting place for him, since there is a great dog park within the area and a lot of dog owners and walkers like to take this route through out the week. So far, the tentative time would be on Saturday late at night, and I have 1 or 2 friends wanting to go and give me their support. This is purely optional, and I won't hold it against anyone who I ask to join not wanting to be by my side.

In other news, Finals are kicking my ass, and I'm sure my manager is seriously upset with me taking two days off from work just to focus on my studies. But, we had a heart-to-heart talk about my academic situation, and he understands. I'm just speaking on the matter of helping my company because one man absent from our branch could make for a stressful business atmosphere. So far, I've been given an extension on my paper, but I'm sure I can complete it tonight.

Haven't been stitching a lot lately because of my tragedy and school and work. The bag I'm currently working on is a redo order for Ken S. Once I'm done with that I'm going to start immediately on Lotus' order, because I don't want to make him wait any further.

I won't be making any bags for the NYFA Jam. My hands are tied.

Made a bag a month ago that popped a stitch after 3 aggressive sessions by my sponsored player. I feel down about it.

Black microsuede is tricky stuff to work with.
