Pro:
CIC was awesome
New faces and people
Hung out with some old friends too
Sauna was off the hook
Inventing pool games with Tom, Jordan, and Justin
Shredding with DC a lot
Late night party and shred
All the exposure
Great venue
Footbag stitchers' selection
Awesome Prizes
Con:
Competitions were a little unorganized/unofficial at times
I still owe people money for going there
No intermediate comps even though there were enough intermediate players
Got over-shredded and had a hard time playing as much when I got back
Over all, the biggest Jam I've been to, and one of the best so far in my footbag career.

CiC needs to get on an unofficial newyears jam so we can have the jam even when it is not newyears.
"...You have to get, really, practice, like eight hours every day. Then you get good level and then you can compete....There is no money, so players are like big family and that is what I -like" -Vasek-

Aww thanks Holly! One thing I would like for next New Years Jam is to see more of Chicago. I know we are there to play footbag, but I think if it would be possible, I would like to understand public transit there more and possibly set up sight seeing groups. I know I can't be the only person interested in that. I suppose in a way it was my fault and I should have figured out the transit myself. I ended up not being able to go anywhere because of my injury but for next year I think I'd like the freedom of going around in Chicago for a somewhat inexpensive price would be very nice.PegLegHolly wrote:cons:

Also, I wish I could've met everyone - I was a little down while there so I didn't introduce myself to everyone that I would have if I hadn't injured myself.
I think the pros would be how helpful ALL of the locals were! I bummed rides, crashed some spaces, etc. Thank you to all of the locals. And thank you to my roommates for helping me out with my injury.
Another pro would be how professional we looked! We respected the event site and staff (to my knowledge) - and the event site itself was great (although the emergency staff consisted of a bunch of jerks).
I had a great time - definitely want to do it again this year.
