I like how Vasek basically interrupts Jimmy when he's telling the audience what he's going to do. I was like, "That's right Jimmy, shut up and let the champ speak!"

i think they gave him a lot of spotlight actually. They showed him more than once and he talked. After a day I don't mind so much about George Lopez. I do think Jimmy liked it, he kept referring to it.

On a side note I h*te Guillermo in general, I feel like he's disgracing himself and his family... but that's another thread. But I'm sure the extra money is worth it.

I have never been to the US, but in Australia we actually expect professional comedians to make jokes. Maybe it is different over there?

I didn't find any of the jokes funny. I'm over the fact that people are rude, but offendedness aside, those jokes were still just not funny.

nah its the same here, i think people just find it offensive here on modified, when any bags on something that they've made into thier lifestyle.

seriously. is it okay to call people you have never met gay on national television? i dont care if it was a (shitty) joke, it was still about as rude as racism.

"professional" comedian or not, i still have no respect for lopez. hes a lude, racist, homophobe.

and jimmy was cool. hes not a good comedian, and relies too much in gimmick (guerilllmo, midgets, juggies) or props (titties and beer) instead of making something comical. but at least he had a few good comments on footbag, and didnt call vasek a gay motherfucker.

I thought it was pretty good and some nice exposure.

I think Zeb got it just right, people who are passionate about something are likely to get upset when someone attacks the thing that they are passionate about, even if it's that person's job to do so.

Try as you might, not every issue will break down into the classic dichotomy of Australia VS. the US.

Ive never heard george lopez say anything particularly funny until recently. That was pretty good stuff from lopez because its fairly true. I have a hard time seeing how being able to shred well is going to get you any ladies...To pull that off you probably need to learn to ballroom dance or to play the harp, etc...

The best joke was kimmells though about footbag being for people who like soccer but with no friends...Seems like there's some truth to that one as well. The truth factor is usually what makes a joke really funny and/or hurtful.
Just imagine what they would have said if vasek got up there and did a doubles routine with some other dude! That in my opinion is right up there with a "blades of glory" type of humor...
Just remember, artists who present their artform in public should be willing to accept the criticisms and jokes that ensue. Besides, in america right now pretty much every sport is a joke: tour de france, baseball, soccer...

First of all, not that it really matters, I have met/impressed girls playing footbag including my first girlfriend.

I liked the show, footbag came off well even if they did poke some fun at it and I'm interrested to see what the exposure does for the sport. I remember a while ago Scott Davidson was on the Jenny Jones show for a segment on "useless sports." and he dropped twice. Really that's about as bad as exposure can get, but I've heard from people who said that was their first exposure to freestyle and that's what got them interrested in the sport. So be happy 2 million people were introduced to footbag freestyle and have a sense of humor.
