That was kind of a douche thing to say, man. It would have been more acceptable if it was constructive, but you completely tore apart his art. You're lucky he didn't get more mad than he did.blue_turnip wrote:Yeah cyclops was definately a lot more creative and original than some generic graffiti-style art.
I agree completely with Chris, in other words.

why don't you give one footbag to each of the top three? spread the wealth. 3 footbags to one person its kinda bad.
I think 'completely tore apart' is a bit of an overstatement. Anyway, how could he be mad if he's pretty much won 3 footbags already.
And i'm supposed to be lucky that he didn't get angry? Oh no, i dread the wrath of some random. He might be able to breach my firewall, I'm dooooomed!!!!
And for the record, the criticism was constructive, harsh though it may be. I see that sort of shizzle at like every train station in existance. Yet this competition is meant to let the most creative win. Thats pretty much constructive criticism if you ask me, i just said it in a far more concise manner in my earlier post.

1. 1 is a mini 1 is medium and 1 is regular size so i wouldnt want 3 people to get different sizes. and if a begginer got the mini i would feel bad, that doesnt mean i couldnt chose who i give them to, but i dont like that idea, so no, the winner with get 3, the rest get none.
2. shipping would cost too much.

Constructive my ass. Constructive criticism is trying to help someone, not just saying their stuff sucks. Just because you don't like graffiti doesn't mean it's not creative.Blue_turnip wrote:

i agree with z. it was a waste of time.
graffitti can be creative... like chris'... but the other grafitti entry looks like normal graffitti that you can see anywhere. he could have said "wow thats ugly", but he was making a statement on creativity and youre taking it personal.
this will be the last of my bitching, so if you choose to ignore it thats fine, if you choose to pick at what i say thats fine too.
begin the ignoring if you so choose:
mine truely was creative. it had to do with footbag (which is what the prize is for). and it followed the rules that were initially set. i dont have paint on my apple computer, so i took some time on my dad's pc to make my cyclops. you would think that a contest for footbags would require art that is about footbag, but no... this was a pointless contest for footbags where the votes dont really count, even though it appears that way.
for future contests that you might hold, ben, here are some suggestions. if you state rules at the beginning, either stick to them or let the people know right off the batt that youre going to change them when you want. also, if you say there is going to be a vote for the best... then there needs to be a series of votes to eliminate a large amount of entries. when you create a poll on a thread, you can choose a date of when that poll ends... you can create a poll after the first poll ends, and so on. this would take care of the arguements that have been brought to your attention this time around. or if you want to eliminate your own, like you did in this contest, then you need to state that in the beginning. maybe next time you could also chose a theme for the entries.
aside from that... i voted for freddy. his had to do with footbag, and was very creative and random. i like iron man, and i like donuts. freddy is also a cool guy that tried to mod his goonits with a dull pocket knife... lol

WHat!? lol wtf. I never said i didn't like graffiti. All i said was that the cyclops was definately more creative. I never said it 'sucked', it was your fucking misinterpretation. I just expressed my thoughts that the cyclops was a better candidate in the competition. And for it i get called a douche. you're the dumbass. For crying out loud.Isilwar wrote: Constructive my ass. You were never called a douche - what you said was a douche thing to say. Whatever. I'll stop clogging your thread, Ben.Blue_turnip wrote:WHat!? lol wtf. I never said i didn't like graffiti.
