Holy cow, this is one of the best music things on the net. You type in a band or song and it plays a simular song based on musical characteristics, so you can find new music that you love.

You can create an account to save all your favorites, and its free.

I love it.

Oh god. This is SO lacking in the Metal department.

Or maybe I just listen to stuff that few in the US have heard.

Suggesting Finntroll returns "Full Control" by John Borown's Body. WTF?
They don't have Skyclad. They lack Fairyland.

Closest thing to Elvenking is "Easy Skanking" by Bob Marley. /ugh

This is probably really amazing if you listen to the mainstream-popular-in-the-US-music stuff, but it's pretty bad for Symphonic/Folk Metal.

Definitely not close to a Music Genome.

Ok, fucking around with this a bit. They have to have Blind Guardian in there somewhere. And they do. Good. Now, how is Therion similar to it? Lack of powerful lyrics. Female vocals. Plenty of violins. And then the next song is some American mainstream crap by Papa Roach. Seriously. This thing is really low level. I'm unsure how Power Metal and uhh...this mainstream crap are similar and should be placed together.

EDIT: They are also rather lacking on the goth/doom metal frontier. But hey, what normal person listens to stuff like that?

Dude, this is going to be one of my favorite sites for a while. It's such an easy way out of finding new music that I missed doing, because I have no time anymore. And I am not around the cool people who tell me about cool bands as much. :?

it doesn't do a very good job matching musical tastes.. no Blind Guardian or Elven whoever.. and that's a bad thing? :P
