Hey Poland!
I just saw your routines and you guys are so good at footbag
all of you obviously practiced your routines really hard and it was so cool to see really professional style performances!!!!
i was a very surprised when i saw marcins routine because i saw damians place and thought it was great but 2nd place was much better
i saw it again in a different order after watching the other routines where it seemed like everyone had a chance to win just about if they pulled off all their tricks -- it was a very close championships very hard for the judges i think. so i saw the top two routines again and i thought it was closer the second time around because damien never really looked like dropping except for the barfly. but i think that marcins routine was definitly technically more difficult and i think it had more variety and overall he has much better form to watch than damian
both had one drop the difference between their drops is that marcin drop wasnt the last trick and damian always seems to get angry suddenly when he drops because ive seen one other routine from him when vasek played as well. and to get all shitty for dropping the last trick is really pretty bad. marcin finished with a really good build up of links to a sealed food processor and finished really well.
damian did a lot of pixie sets and was obviously one sided for his steps. damians pixie sets and toe game in general looks really strange becasue his toe delay is alot like an outside delay because it comes all the way to the other side and his legs look like noodles. his hard steps were on one side rippwed warrieor and fog and these were nice but because he also did the swirl on that same right foot and all the dlos (excet the off balance fog) were on that foot and the walk overs and the majority of the pixies and both atomic sets i thought the whole routine was just so one sided that it was impossible to ignore. damian knows his game really well and he didnt take risks and didnt drop but he couldnt hit a double dex trick because im not going to cound the barfly and didnt step on his flipside and the one flip spin was very isolated, but credit for spinning both ways. i also wasnt sure why he was shimmying to the side at 40 seconds becuause it didnt go with the music either
marcin stepped alot on both sides favoured his right clipper as well but really obviopusly hit both stepping whirls with hard links. re watching marcins agian now i did spin both sides and it was obvious, but he seemed really just to spind and step mainly. he did juggle really well to the music and then the symp mirage was right on s well.
his routine was obviously both sided and he really did stack on the difficulty
both steppng whirls
blurry whirl
clurriest
blurrier
pdx tourque
there could have been others but he really did hit those tricks cleanly and he actually hit the other blurry whirl but didnt hit anythign out of it which really detracted alot from it so i wont count it
but overall i really thoguht marcin was hard done by.
unless there was just a totally awkward vibe he gave out at the time which wasnt conveyed over youtube (possible) i cant see why he didnt win
syzmons routine - i wasnt sure why you wasted so much time at the start doing pretty uninteresting stuff which was so obviously way below what you could do. you left alot of your repetoir out and then when you started hitting some links it was like the too little too late scramble to hit some moves at the end of the routine, it was better than your worlds routine in 06 because i just watched that again then. the easy tricks i the 07 routine werent interstign because the music didnt really give you any cues and overall the music didnt help youdo your routien very much it seemed just to keep going on forever in much the same way. not sure why you went down on one knee because you stopped but the music didnt. this routien always seemed to me like it was getting away from you and you were behind the 8 ball
probs on a nice obvious finish with the music and being really good at footbag in general
i really liked the other routines i havent talked about they were just a little bit ambitious and i liked all the music choices more or less
hahah

Hey, Dan! Thanks for this nice reply. The first two routines were really hard to judge as you said. I was one of the judges and had a terrible work with it. I placed Damian the 1st in TM and Marcin the 2nd. And I placed Marcin the 1st in AM and Damian the 2nd. In my opinion Marcin's routine was one of the most enjoyable to watch routines ever! He played so well to the music, Vasek's style a little bit. I thought he would win. We have to wait a year for this

Nice post Dan!
I also saw this routines only on youtube.
I know 1st and 2nd place was 1 ranking point difference!
Your opinion is simillar to mine, but remember:
Marcin had no flipside game on his toe.
He played safe just like Damian.
We had 2 strong players: one on the side and one on the front.
Anyway, both of these routines were top level. Props.
