I know what you mean. The rubber sole seems a lot thicker than lavers, but my gunits aren't any heavier than lavers. The different sole was awkward at first, but it makes clippers a lot easier. Plus, the toe space on these shoes is noticeably smaller than lavers, but hopefully that will force me sharpen up toe moves.K-dOUble wrote:im not liking the g-moneys much right now ... i think that they have too much ankle support, and they seem heavy .... any suggestions on what i can do to make them more comfortable, maybe those with G-Units can chime in here since the g-moneys and the g6 are pretty much the same shoe
I absolutely love these shoes. How have you modded your shoes K-double? I just cut off the bottom eyelets and laced them up normally; I think they fit more secure that way. And if the g-money is the same as gunits, then maybe you just need to use them more to get used to them... I don't see how anyone could really dislike these shoes. Imho they're just as good as lavers.
Too bad that my mom threw my first shoes away. They were a pair of black Nike running shoes (I can't remember the modelzachatree wrote:jermey those things, are SICK.
If you guys would see them, you would certainly puke immediately. The whole shoes were actually only a one big hole with two strings of thin mesh and laces (OK, now I'm starting to exaggerate...
But truly, they just started to shrink when I was sleeping or my feet started growing. The problem was that the holes were in the sole. It started to feel like I was playing barefoot, except the shoes looked fine on top them.
I still wanted to keep them as a memory of my first, uncertain steps in the wonderland of footbag.
Mom wasn't convinced at all and looked me strangely saying "You have to sleep sometimes." So, one day they were gone forever.

regarding the g-money, look-alike isn't is-alike. It probably doesn't have the same inner shoe makeup, which is really the most important thing with leather "lavers". on G-units, the innermost layer is a thin, grippy rubber. Is that the case with the Fubus? if not, they could be totally bunk shoes.
I bought some US Polo Association laver-alikes 2 years ago at Funtastik. they looked like straight up copies. but after a few minutes of play, the sole turned out to be a lot more slippery, heavy, and inflexible than that of a laver. Total waste of money. The best part was, I bought 2 pairs, right on the spot.
that was great...
anyway, experimentation is good because that's how we find out about shoes like the G6 and the Climacools. but buyer beware. There's some lame shoes out there that look like they'll work, but it's not always the case.

I think I going to take over Canada. You should help.

melissa, I don't think he means setting into a same side downtime mirage. he means doing the dex on the way up. forgive me if you weren't confused, but judging from your blog, you're probably not talking about doing a pixie as a set.
I think you should cut the walls off. I think everyone should. It makes you more precise in the toes and opens up the stall zone. if you're rolling your pixie sets off to the side without walls, that doesn't mean you need walls. it means you need to do your pixie sets right.

I don't advise cutting of your walls until you OWN pixie sets. Also, I'm going to have to have to agree with something Tsiangkun said about the stall being the least important part of your freestyle game, once you get to a certain point. The walls aren't really a crutch... When I had Lavers, I played with them with walls for a very long time, then cut the walls off. The biggest difference was that I, yeah, that's right, had a tendency to rush my pixie sets!
Keep the walls on.
