Lauri Jii - challenge me or die

Post by sniikeri »

So. My name is Lauri Jaakkola and I've been playing (sometimes more, sometimes less) for about a year now. The whole last summer was a fiasko for me, I didn't shred at all because I didn't have proper shoes. I'm now 14 yrs old and just got my New Balance CT300s. I played barefoot last month and I'm trying to get used to playing with shoes. The start is quite stucky.
So I'm actually starting the whole footbag again.

I'm at the tiltless level right now and working on it to get it as easy as pie.
My goals are now to get more guiltless-level tricks and after winter and maybe next spring I'd like to see me hitting good clean guiltless strings. I'm afraid that I can shred in a sport hall only once or twice a week in winter so that's why my dead line is so far away.
My tricks (after I started playing with CT300's):
3 ADDS:
-butterfly
-plo
-smear
-osis
-DLO (actually stepping op legover) edit: NOW ACTUALLY REAL DLO TOO!
-magellan
-ducking clipper
-DATW

4 ADDS:
-PS mirage
-dimwalk
-ducking butterfly
-parkwalk

Like I said, I can hit tiltless combos but my sets and bigger tricks than that are weak. Especially I'd like to get:
-more double-dexes (At this point I can hit plo's and smears and some other easy ones)
-diving, ducking, spinning etc. sets better
-tricks starting from/ending to clipper, cause they are also weak after playing only barefoot

Challenge me, I'm trying to do it as soon as possible!

At this point these are on the challenge list of mine:

This might be easy for you but I think it's a great drill anyway!

clip set same side legover>legover>same side butterfly - repeat

so the bag goes clip>op toe>op toe>op clip but with an out>in dex each time.

Try to do the dexes as early as you can too - peak time not down time - this will help a lot for double downs!

Challenge accepted. My illusion and fairy sets also need (like my stepping set) a lot of practice but I think I'll hit that drill quite quickly.

These challenges are a really good thing for me cause I'm not having anyone to shred with.

That`s not a drill! You should do it with a Parkwalk.

I'll try 'em as soon as I can get to a bigger place than my room. Otherwise I'm kicking my bed and TV. :?

WANTED: More challenges now when I finally digged my challenge thread up...

I'll hit those not-yet-sealed strings hopefully next week. I'm sorry that I haven't even tried to hit them with all my 100%. That time they felt just too hard for me but now I think I'm ready to start to train them again.

BRING 'EM ON, I'M DEATH INCARNATE!
(Anyone ever played the Wolfenstein3D? )

Thanks. My strings are not very long so maybe this'll make me to practice them more.

edit: Does osis get a paradox? Because I usually set from clipper, spin in and do the osis. The spin isn't complete - more like a 180° spin like torque's spin.
Am I doing a pdx osis or just a far osis?

Thank you, Juuso and Aleksi.
Those shouldn't be too hard for me but still challenging. Something to work on while waiting the summer.
