stale bags

anyone here have bags that go stale? I have a bag (not gonna mention the stitcher) that has only 2 small pinholes in it and is a little over a year old. The facile on this bag ins no longer soft and plushy, but crunchy. I wash my bags when they are dirty, and even when clean, this bag is crunchy. Fabric softener doesn't help either. anyone know how you can prevent your bags from becoming stale? or how you can make them soft again if possible?

try putting the bag through the dryer with some towels.

My theory is bags get stale because the soft colored micro fibers wear off over time. I have some choice bags that feel crunchy. You can see the black core where my blue fibers have worn off on my bag.

yeh theres a couple of black dots on my mini now. Ive only had it for like 3 months and rolling it in ur hands 24/7. Just a note, never roll ur bag when it feels crunchy and rubbery, it will develop lint and when the lint comes off, the material of the bag is coming off and thats bad. So break it in ur hands when its nice and soft and flexible. And stop when ur fingers feel all sweaty, that will make the bag go rough.
Dry hands and a very soft bag is what u need when ur breaking in a bag.

bah finally someone with the same problem! my bag does the same, it used to be feeling pretty cool and broken in, and now the material has gone all stiff, like u scrunch it up and it just stays scrunched
kinda like plasticine or something but not, u know?

i dont know how to fix it, ive washed it several times. it really sucks
i get lots of toe roll-off which shouldnt be happening!

Try a bit of fabric softener.. should take away the crunch.

hmm - I find it happens occassionally - I give the bag a wash and then kick it for a few minutes and it goes back to feeling great. I've been forced to do some minor repairs to my abshire recently - There was one hole that the pellets could get through. I'm expecting to be playing with my own bags really soon so I was feeling lazy and just stuck some duct tape over the hole

- so far it's working well and if it comes off it takes like 10 seconds to replace. I wouldn't do it if there were more than like 5 holes though.

i had duct tape on 23 of 32 panels on my last carol. it was pretty funny looking.

I'm getting close to 23 panels shoe gooed on my mini abshire.
And it still kicks great!
If you're bag feels crunchy there isn't a whole lot you can do, but if it stalls y stop using it?
