12th August 2004

Had a good session today, taped lots of it, so expect a short video clip
in the next days.

Broke my Ducking Clipper record again, went for 6, and it's on tape!
I'm curious to see how clean they were.

Had some good runs in front of the camera, which is rare for me, as
most of the time I don't even hit a decent toe stall when the camera's
running :) Seems like I'm slowly getting used to it.

We had an very slow session, I did not want to stress my twisted ankle too much (rolled it over 2 days before). Despite of that I could my Infinity record to 13 :) I drilled Clipper SS Legovers, I hope this drill will help me with Clipper SS Illiusions. And again I noticed that I have to train my flip Osis so much more! I drop that move way too often, but thats ok when I think back 2 months when I didn't do any Osis at all. Hopefilly my right ankle is 100% healed until monday so that I can play really hard then + my sister starts again on monday to. She took a short break because of her left calf.

Nothing spectacular. Had a nice run with DLO>Butterfly>Drifter in the middle.

Oh, I broke my Ducking Clipper Record again :) Went for 7 this time!
Want to get 10 by the end of the week.

18.August 2004 No playing for me today. I have problems with
my calfs lately, especially my right calf is causing trouble. I'm
keeping it low.

Today we hooked up with Eric and Jerry from the Footbag-Freunde Weiß-Blau e.V,
the Munich Footbag club that has gone inactive. Max and me want to
take over the club and revive it, and change the name to "Munich Footbag".

I just wasted approximately 2 hours by updating my Move Nickname List.
Added 73 moves, so there's 323 moves right now. I really gotta go to
bed. It's almost 4 in the morning now.

Basics to work on:

-Get Flipside ATW more solid (it's a shame, really)
-learn Flipside Pixie
-Get Flipside Osis more solid
-Infinities! must get 20 at least. Average right now about 6, record 12-14.

While is was working Jendrik from Kiel called me, he was staying in Munich for a couple of days, and asked if we meet to kick the footbag. So we (Beatrice, Bjoern, Jedrik and me) had a nice session. I can't really remember anything specific, only a run including bsos clipper set SS illiusion and bsos pdx illiusion. During the session we saw one guys at the fence watching us and we asked him to join us. His name was Josh from California he didn't play but he said watching us did just blow his mind ;) So he hung out with us.

Jendrik from Berlin hooked up with us as he is in Munich for a few days,
and we had a 4 1/2 hour session. I think I never played that long
continuously. The first 2 hours, Max and Bea played with us, as well
as a guy called Josh, who was from California, and was so intruiged
by our shred that he stood and watched for half an hour. We got him to
try some toe stalls and atw's.

I hit a Smear record of about 8-10 (don't know for sure, but it's
on tape) which was awesome because until then I never stringed more
than 3 pixie moves together.

After Max and Bea left, Jendrik and me turned the shred into a drill
session, and it was pretty effective. My torques are getting good,
I hit a couple of them today, even midrun. Hit my second 4>4:
Dimwalk>Torque. Also, a nice (onesided) sick 3:
Magellan>Smear>Dimwalk.

It felt good to shred hard for such a long time. Most of the time I play
with Max the sessions aren't longer than 1 1/2 - 2 hours. The best
thing was that my calf pains practically weren't there, even though I did
a lot of Pixies and stepping, which would normally have caused instant
pain. Magnesium did the job, really!

Oh yeah, and I even twisted my ankle during a Ripwalk attempt, but
immediately iced it and I could continue shredding right after that.
(I played on for 3 hours after this..)

Goood session. Afterwards, Jendrik and me watched Champions League
at my place. I've seen it 3 times now, and man, this is such a hardcore-
shred video.

That session was also the first one in my new red lavers. AND had
such a hangover from the night before. But that was gone after 1 1/2 hours.

It seems the red lavers really help my game - I used to play with
Navy Blue lavers, and I always had dark bags. Now I can see the bag
on my feet much better!

Again a long session with Jendrik. The highlights for me were: bring my infinities record to 14 and I hit "Eggplant" Atomic Legover ;) I was just messing around with atomic set with out any idea what I was doing, At the end of the session, after 4 1/2 hours, ;) I was sooo close to Atomsmasher.
Hmm ah yes Jednrik showed me a new and better way for consecutive clippers! I always did 3 steps between two clippers, which made me look like an wired step dancer, now I only do 2 steps in between. I guess I could have figured that out by myself but Jendrik just opend my eyes :) So thanks again!

Max, Bea, Jendrik and me kicked again. My legs still felt sore from the
hardcore session the day before. Nothing particularly new for me, but
for some runs with a lot of ducking moves. Also, one run with Assassin
and Ripwalk
, but that's about it.

Oh yeah, one new move: Muted Magellan. Twice in one run.

I had to stop because my shins were killing me and my ankle suddenly
started to sting. I guess I just played too much, and since I twisted that
very ankle yesterday I'll keep it low the next days.

I'm gonna start working on the flyer for the Munich Streetlife Festival
Footbag Jam we're having.

Bjoern and I decided to kick in the center of Munich to do a little promotion for the Streetlife Festival + handing out flyers. But Bjoern was admonished by an police officer while he was handing out flyers 2 hours before that :( So I just gave the flyer the ppl who really came and watched us, and not random people walking by. There was an cold wind in the streets that evening but the session was good anyway. I hit Pixie SS Mirage BSOS + Magellan BSOS my pixie set is getting more consistent every time I play  And for my total suprise I hit 4 or 5 alterning Ducking Clippers :) they really came out of nowhere! But I guess watching Bjoern drilling that move over and over again helped me out too ;)
My most recent goals now are: Geting Dimwalk down! Butterfly > Osis > Far Butterfly drill repate until me feet fall off! And drill that new alterning Clipper technique Jendrik showed me.
Now I need to distribute more flyers :) So long

Today I had an 45 min dirlling only solo session. I practiced that new alterning clippers methode. And I did this combo: Butterfly > Osis > Far Butterlfy > Infinitie until I hit it 10 times on each side. Furthermore I did the good old Infinities and Clipper > Osis repeat.
Tomorrow we want to shred at an festival here in Munich and hand out more flyers for your upcoming Jam :)

We (Bjoern, Darly and a friend of his) had a session at an sporting ground right behind the Munich Olympic stadium from 1972. We really drilled a lot and I hit ~10 Pixie Legover :) I was very suprised about that! I worked a lot on my Butterfly and Osis technique. We will kick again with Daryl on thursday, I hope the guys from Dortmund are aleready here then.

Session with Max at the Olympiapark.
We kicked with Daryl and a friend of his for the first time, after I handed
out flyers a few days ago and met him at the local Footlocker store where
he works.

Didn't accomplish much, I was playing under pain. My calf hurt again,
so I went low.

I did hit 56 legovers, before my stamina left me. I really need
to work on that.

Max hit a whopping 10+ pixie legovers!

Beatrice, Bjoern and I just had an nice session close to your place. Again I drilled Osis and it paid of a little bit; I hit the Butterfly > Osis > Far Butter Fly > Infinity repeat 3 or 4 times without dropping. Schooling basics can be fun :D I also did 4 Magellans in a row, I bet I can do maybe 6 or 7 wiht more training. Another good combo for me was Magellan > Pixie Legover > Magellan > Pixie Legover, I also hit that combo with Smear instead of Magellan. This will be one hard shred week with the upcoming Streetlife Festival :)

04./05. September - Munich Streetlife Festival Footbag Jam

This was our first event, and thanks to everybody who was there, it
ROCKED!

Viktor+Nils from Dexdo came, as well as Virak and Robert from Nuernberg. Jochen Bauer showed up on saturday! Daniel Schuldes,
who is from Munich but lives in London now, also came by.

On saturday we shredded through the day from 1-10 p.m...it was good,
there was a lot of interest from the people, and many stood around the
shred circle all the time.
My shred wasn't too good though. I really had trouble with my consistency. One string was good though, with a lot of Pixies, a DLO and
a Torque in it. The others were busting like crazy. Nils has been playing
for 8 months now, and has solid Pixie, Stepping, Ducking and Spinning
sets, as well as a decent Atomic set. !! Vik was busting big stuff, on
sunday he hit Symposium Quantum Butterfly and Blazing Pdx Mirage! He
came close to Vortex.
Robert was a pleasure to watch - his style is sooo smooth. Lots of spinning, whirls, blenders, almost a Montage Rake (!), nice reverse swirls,
etc.
Virak came really close to Toe Blur a couple of times, I'm not sure if
he did hit it though.
Saturday evening everbody went to my place, we watched The move and
Budas Best, had big time dinner and lot's of alcohol and stuff...

On sunday they were only Vik, Virak and Rob left, as Nils went back home
by flight early in the morning. We shredded 'till they left at 4 o'clock, and
soon afterwards, a couple of shredders from Landshut came, most notably
Mike and Philipp. Shred on 'til it was too dark to see the bag, then lots of
4Square action.

Oh yeah I did hit Stepping ss mirage, which was kinda new for me. :)

Thanks to all who came, thanks for the shred and the new inspiration!

10.September 2004 - Austrian Champs 2004, Vienna

Mike from Landshut, me and a friend of his, Kathrin, left Landshut early
heading for Vienna. We arrived at Max's place, Kathrin's boyfriend, who
supplied us with food, beer and the other stuff. He had this big house
with a big pool in the garden, and reggae music was playing everywhere
in the house.

Well-fed, Mike and me headed to Pizzeria Faourati to the opening meet.
First, we headed 8 bus stations into the wrong direction, but we figured
it out...

At the Pizzeria there was free Pizza for everybody all night long, everybody
was there; Stefan who arrived a few days ago, some hungarians,
lots of Austrians from Vienna, Linz, Bruck etc. and the Czechs, with
Dexter, Vojta, Honza and Vasek. We went out almost every half an hour
for a smoke/hack circle.. it was cool seeing Vasek hitting ripstein during
a hack circle, with fat skate shoes and not being warmed up at all.

At midnight everybody moved to the "Tüwi" where we would sleep. We
had more beer there, and a good 4square, where we marked the lines
with gravel.

Highly pissed and stoned, I went to bed at like 4 or 5 in the morning.

26. September 2004
Finally I'm back blogging :) (can you say that?) I had an wounderful two week holiday with my adorable girlfriend.
But let's start before that:
On July the 4./5. the Streetlife festival happened here in Munich. And we invited some footbagers over to play with us. It really was great fun to have such a big circle in our city! Thanks again to everybody for comming!
On sunday after shreding almost two full days I hit Atom Smasher after like 50 trys ;) That one guy from Landshut (can't rember the name right now) and I pushed us really hard with that trick. He didn't hit it that evening but I'm sure he has hit it by now. A lot of other nice stuff was also hit, the only trick I can rember on top of my head was Whirling Mirage by Viktor. Beatrice hit Pixie Butterfly on both sides that weekend. I hope Bjoern finishs the video soon so all of you can participate =)

Tunisia
From September 11th to September 25th my g/f and I stayed in a nice hotel right at the sandy beach :D I played Beachvolley almost every day and we had an really great time! Every second day or so I shreded before dinner, but most of the time only for half an hour or so. Despite of that I achived soem new things: 16 Infinities ;) Atomic Butterfly and Paradon (Double Butterfly)

Ok now I can right about todays session. After renovate stuff in our new house my sister and I shreded in our future dining room. First I thought the session sucks but the I started to try some new stuff. So I hit PDY Whirl on both sides and Blurry Whirl on one side for the first time! So Blurry Whirl is my first 5 add trick ;) ok thats enough for today...

Grischa from Paris is in Munich this week so we all (Beatrice, Bjoern and Daryl) had a session in our regular monday evening gym. It seems like Bjoern is back from his injury foreced break. We all played really hard. Some new tricks were hit: Grischa did Grifter for the first time an 2 other tricks I can't remeber now. I hit Bubbabeater for the first time.

Grischa hit Flux for the first time, and Matador, if I'm not mistaken.
Good session!
