Knee Braces?

Post by Iain »

hey, my friend bill tore his ACL last year and is afraid of knee injuries while playing. So what he does is plays with his brace that he had when he was healing. But he wants to get a sports brace but has no clue of what kind to get or where to get them or how much they are, ect. ect. If anyone can post ANY information you know about knee braces it would be very appretiated. thanks

Hey there Iain,

I suggest that he should go to a local sporting goods store. I'm sure that they would have/suggest one that would be comfortable for him. You can check out eastbay magazines brace stuff:

i think that ur friend doesnt need a knee brace ... if he tore his acl, and it healed, he shouldnt need a knee brace ... and if indeed he does need one, i dont think he should be playing, instead he should be letting his knee heal ... and then once his knee has healed up, start playing
i too tore my acl, and footbag is what i started playing after my knee healed, and not once have i wore a knee brace.

just my $.02

::edit::
if he wants a knee brace just for safety ... id suggest the simple knee braces from ACE that u can find at like walgreens
