Hole in panels

I recently discovered a hole in the middle of my abshire, and that a few of the panels are getting thin (white colored material). I've read in the past about shoe goo to fix these holes, but I would just like to make sure that's right before doing anything to it. So what should I use to fix these holes? Any product recommendations? Where to get it?

Shoe goo works, but is expensive and requires a trip to a speciality store.

Go into you local drug store and grab a tube of siliconized caulk, or shoe goo if you have it.

Dispense a drop the size of a nickle on an old plastic bag, or piece of paper . . . etc

Use a toothpick to gather up a ball of the caulk about the size of the hole (0.05mm or so) on the tip.

dap, very gently just barely into the hole, and twirl the pick slightly as you pull it away.

If you did it right, you end up with a perfect patch, instead of a big ass blob on your panel that looks funny.

I use clear, and it's very hard to find the patches. If you catch the early this method works best.

Wow how lucky am I, my abshire just developed a hole as well, just wondering though about how long do they usualy take to develope a hole? I know everyone plays on different surfaces and for different amounts, but in your experience.

Thanks cameron. I went out to a friend who was having a huge party over the weekend, and then when I got back to my dorm room i found my bag on the ground in the middle of the room with a hole in it. My roommate is on thin ice right now.

haha my Abshire mini has at least 15 holes in it already

they are all pretty much like pin sized ones, should i be patching now or not worry yet?

I patch mine as sooner rather than later. I like to keep the fixes as small as possible.

holes are inevitable and usualy have more to do with the color and YOU then the person who made the bag. The life of a bag that is used only by freestylers, ALWAYS picked up by hand and used mostly indoors should be atleast 4 months.
The life of a facile bag used by non freestyler = one session
Patch holes as soon as you see them.

change non-freestyler to hackysacker and it's true. . . but what I have learned in the park is this

Kids who have never seen hacky sack, don't do stupid shit to the bag with their feet. It's nice being able to use my real bags with complete noobs and not have them destroy them .

Agreed. I'm going to patch mine up tonight, hopefully I will be able to get to the store. My bag is about 7 months old now, but it's still got plenty left.
