After the session I had with Jorden, I've wanted to play SOOO much more. So I schooled last night, and hit 7 new/ish moves. I can't remember the last time I hit that many new moves in one night. I'm going to practice again tonight... :P

- Double Blender (both sides)
- Paradox Reverse Torque (both sides)
- Toe Op Double Pickup (both sides)
- Symp Paradon (name?)

Flails rock!

Thanks for the props guys!

Another session update:

I shred today and last night for a bit, just schooling, and schooling. Solo no longer sucks, because it lets be get away from everything and clears my mind. I guess you could say its my way of meditating. Every since I've had this new perspective on solo shredding I've been doing way better, and I don't get bored anymore 10 minutes into the sesh.

On to the new moves...

- Spinning Paradox DLO (both sides)
- Dolomite (flipside; cleaner than strong)
- Tornado
- Inward Mobius (real close to seal)
- Mantis
- Spinning Paradox Barrage
- Tobius

My little brother is improving fast, he has way more control with his basic kicks, and now he is moving up and coming close to landing mirage, and some o-i atws. I can see the craving for footbag in his eyes. So great.

Random observations that helped my shred:
- drink TONS of water
- make goals
- drill concepts not moves

Awesome. My brother has been getting more into it lately too. I am going to write about him in my footblog now. Setting goals is DEFINATELY THE way to improve, I think. To say to yourself, "I'm going to hit fusion beesauce by the end of the session". Or, "I'm going to hit 35 atom smashers in a row by the end of the week (if my name was Johnny Suderman...)"
Good stuff. Can't wait for video!

Long time since I've done any blogging...

Start things off with some new moves/runs;

- Surging Osis (clean)
- Rubberman II
- Plasticman
- Whirling Swirl (flipside)
- Flurry (flipside)
- Pixie Double
- Barroque (both sides)
- Toe Barroque (both sides)
- Footed Blurry Barroque!!

I know it was almost a week ago now but I MUST post about last weekend. It was some of the most fun I've ever had playing footbag, and that is definitely worth posting about, even though I don't have much time to do it. I will write something more thorough later.

What can I say, Saturday was fucking awesome. I got to meet a handful of GREAT people (ERIK CHAN, Marita, Paul Toews, Bill ?, Ellis, Caro, Andrew (TO), Camille(TO)). Not only did I get to shred with them, I got to shred with them AND a big chunk of the ontario scene as well.

I've really wanted to meet Erik forever. Ever since I started playing I can remember looking at his move demos and such. Never would I have guessed that I would be shredding with him one day. He is such a nice guy, and VERY thoughtful. I remember that Ellis asked Erik if he wanted any advil for the pain he was having, and Eriks said sure. Ellis asked when and Erik said whenever was most convenient, even though Ellis had his bag a few steps away. Thats courtesy. Not once did I see him not smiling. On top of that he had some epic runs of AT LEAST 30+ contacts with BSOS fives. I was shocked. If that was Erik when he was injured then damn. None of my words do him justice but he is really an awesome footbagger, and person in general. I wish I could have spent longer just talking, or shredding with him, because he was fun to be around, even though the talk was minimal :). I got sooo excited when he asked me to sign his lavers!

We'll Ive successfully ran out of time talking about Erik. Will post more soon! Thankyou everyone for the shred! And Atom for driving, and for everyone that filmed, so I can remember that day.

Hey Johnny thanks for the kind words. Marita and I were really sad that you weren't staying around for dinner and shred the next day. Johnny is one of the most modest players I have ever met. He kept making it sound like I was so good and meanwhile any time he touched the bag he would bust 20+ contact atomic shuffle...and I would keep telling him how insane he is and whispering and pointing to him with Marita when he was busting and he would be all, like, "Naw, I'm not that good"...and proceded to bust sumo > phoenix > matador > blurry whirl > blurry whirl > pdx blender a few times.......Nevermind hitting basically everything else.
He also wore a Goomba shirt which I thought was cool since his avatar is the 1-up mushroom!

Definetly agree with everything Erik said about Johnny Suderman (I don't think I'll ever just say his first name, it's too much fun saying both together! :) )
Although I already wrote about my first impression about Johnny Suderman in my footblog, I had to back up the view that he is VERY humble and genuine. VERY nice, and I was really sad that he didn't stay for dinner. I kept telling Erik that he had to convince the Ontario guys to stay, because we wanted to talk to them all, especially Johnny, because he seemed really nice. But sadly they didn't stay, and we all would have had so much fun conversationalizing :D . Next time we're all together, simply chilling should be a must after everyone plays footbag!

So long time no blog...

What can I say, I'm shredding anytime I'm not on modified, at school, doing homework, stitching, or with my girlfriend. Okay so that isn't all that much but I'm trying to play as much as I can to get better and get above of this plateau. GLASS is nearing, and I want to be representing, busting the phatest I can.

So yea, I guess I'm a stitcher now, ever since I got to use some of Atoms facile I've been hooked, the end result is AWESOME. It's so cool to be able to make your own 32's! I'm constantly breaking in the footbags I make, and washing them and letting them sit in fabric softener. It's weird I know, but I love it. I'm going to buy some facile ASAP, as well as some filler, and I'll be selling these puppies in no time flat.

So I stitched another 32 again tonight and my mind wandered off, thinking about school work I should be doing, and my girlfriend Rishell who I can't stop thinking about. I was also thinking about having a sesh, but alas it was too late to have enough time to get into it (I need some sleep damnit!) Then all of a sudden WHAM I get this stupid idea:

Image

LOOK HE HATCHED! He's so cool!

He got bored of me so he decided to chill with my little bro.

And then I realized I could turn his shell into a footbag so I stole it, he still looks cool though.

I really didn't have that much time to spare, :P I'm such a loser! Oh well. I need a name for this footbag Armadillo of sorts. Ideas?!
