no, but you'll want to be making alot of trips to Berlin, home of some of the best of the best. Yves kreil, Paul Cronjager, Mathias Schmidt, Max Kerkoff, Jacob Wagner, and Fine (forget her last name) are all bad ass shredders! and that's only to name a few, the scene in germany is huge! there are shredders in frankfurt, munich, berlin, and i think hamburg as well. you should have no problem finding people to kick with!

Fine Schwengbeck. FC Footstars (Berlin) was probably my favorite footbag club to play with at Worlds 03. Everybody is real bothsided, real good, and real nice. I think you`ll be fine (no pun intended) footbagwise if you can make it to Berlin regularly.

Hows the shred scene over there?
Well, it can't be any worse than Anchorage, right?
Nothing against AK (I really dig the long long days in the summer, and I want to go back to see more of the Aurora Borealis), but it doesn't really sound like you've got such a great footbag scene where you are now. As far as footbag is concerned, there's probably nowhere to go but up from there.

Buuuuurn! :D

My dad got a call yesterday telling him he got a job in Weisbaden for the milltary there. Since, my parents don't like Alaska beacuse the lack of light, long winter, being isolated, etc. There pretty sure there going to take it. We are going to move this summer permanently. I don't know any german and I bummed about moving.

Footbag is the only thing keeping me for being tottaly depressed. Nothing agasint Germany; I been there twice, it's a beautiful country. I been to the town I'm moving too. I even seen the High school that I be going to. But still I'm depressed. Maybe I can go to worlds since I'm going to be on that side of the ocean (when is it?)

Thanks again for all your help. I alot happier knowing that I going really high up in the footbag world! :D

Ah yeah, it's always a bit depressing leaving everything you know to go live 10000Kms away in some foreign country that you barely know. Europe is great though. I've personnaly never been to Germany (shame on me) but I'd love to. I've lived in 5 different countries and in the long run I have absolutly no regrets!

Hope to meet you at a Euro comp one of these days!

Are you staying there for a while? After all, it's much nearer to next years
Worlds from here, and Euros, and all the german/austrian/swiss/polish/hungarian tourneys that are going on all year! And according to footbag.org's member list, there's 2 players in Wiesbaden - you should get in touch with them!

edit: Oh, and come to Munich whenever you want! :)

wiesbaden is close to frankfurt - where the second-biggest club in germany is.. like over 30 members... they are a bit more into net than freestyle, but you will be fine, for sure ... when are you going to move? early enough for footjam? (end of may) there is going to be german footbag open in berlin in june and that is going to be HUGE as well... good luck..

hey, I had to register when I saw this topic. As it has been said already the city of Frankfurt is only half an hour away...
But there is at least one shredder in Wiesbaden, who I know. I´m living in Mainz which is located next to Wiesbaden too. There are training sessions in a gym at the uni of Mainz at least once a week. I'd really like to shred with you... :!:
