No, Monica Blewinsky wasn't what I meant by sexual harrasment.
I was talking about J. Broderick, the woman who was allegedly bit, and assaulted by Clinton. I can't remember the womans name who accused him of harrasment in the room next to the Oval Office. And the trailer park trash woman Paula Jones.
Whether these accusations are true or not is not for me to argue, but Clarence Thomas was nearly hung for of a lot less.

No, you might not be worried about people “killing off their own race,” but when you teach a kid to shoot, who do you think the kid will use the gun on? Do you think that in a few years some other nation will be invading our country so you should prepare a kid now while they're 10? I don’t get that. If you think it’s such a harsh place that we live in, why wouldn’t you start teaching people to live better, and treat each other better?HighDemonslayer wrote:"having everyone killing off their own race" --is not quite the genocide I was worrying about.
Usually it's one race trying to eliminate a different race.-n
And saying that guns are necessary here when we’re not in a state of civil war… I don’t think that making all guns illegal is the way to go, but I wouldn’t want to fuel the idea of children learning to shoot for the mentality of “just in case.”

Does this happen where you live? Are you scared that your family will really be attacked by a "rampaging racist mob?" I didn’t know things got that bad in AZ.

No, I'm talking about those thousands of poor unarmed souls, in Sudan who get butchered, or staved, just for being black.

I'm sorry that I did not understand what you were talking about. I was not making light of these poor people's situation. We went from "Hysterical Women Voting for Kerry" to Blow Jobs to Islamic cultures. That is why I got confused.HighDemonslayer wrote:Moxie said:

I hope that you understand that saying that we shouldn't be concerned with what issues are a problem in this country (such as equal pay for equal work) because there are much worse problems in other countries is a fallacious argument. It seems to me like you're all over the place with what issues you're arguing against.
"Getting paid slightly less for the same job pales in comparison to having your head cut off.""
Yep, it sure does. But does that mean that I shouldn't fight for equal rights in the workplace because someone on the other side of the world has a worse time then I do? And having your head cut off will make any other concerns seem frivolous.

Correct, this thread shifts focus. It's not all my fault.
Correct, you should fight for the issues important to you, and other women.
My criticism of feminist issues should have been aimed at radical feminist leadership specifically, to avoid confusion.
p.s.
before I said i was talking about the Sudan, but I should revise this to add Arizona as well.
Many folks who live next to the border are toast if they don't have weapons. They would be completely at the mercy of invading mobs.
