Finesse of footbag

Has anybody else ever thought about how no matter how hard your body is moving and no matter how hard you pound your feet on the ground the bag is always caught gently and in the same manner in every trick you do? I am sitting on my floor and I just put my footbags through the wash and drier for the first time ever (a $180 gander); I was rolling one through my hand and the filler started leaking and I pictured myself being able to freestyle and realized how amazing it is that I catch the bag on PS whirl the same way I can the bag on osis. Weird, hey??

except if you're matt cross and hit pdx blender dbl kick. not all stalls are caught with the same precision and gentleness imo.

Well obviously not. I guess what I mean is that 99% of moves are caught on either clipper or toe and that no matter what the move entails it always ends the same -- that's kind of more what I meant and that a clipper stall has a specific style to it and that style is integrated into every single move that ends in clipper.

Finesse applies to footbag in more ways than simply gentle catching of the bag, spins, dexes and ducks require a certain degree of finesse in order to be considered clean, but i would say that it has more to do with style than just doing moves. Some players like myself exhibit very little of this quality

If a player player exhibits a certain degree of finesse to their game thay are often said to have a good style

Well I think your observation was cool anyway Erik

It is pretty cool that even with crazy leg movements a move usually ends with a nice soft stall.

Yeah good observation Erik. Matt Baker (from au) pointed out to me that that probably means the sport is very bad for your legs - you go from moving as fast as you can to almost a complete stop etc - your joints don't like that!
