My USB cord isn't working for some reason or else I'm just not skilled at its manipulation. So I guess I can't upload the awesome picture I took.

my friends came over, and we were going over to their house, and I realized I was still wearing my lavers and shred shorts under my pants, so I took the pants off to take the shorts off, but left my shoes on because my feet are small enough for that, and then realized I was ready for shred again. I tossed the bag down and kicked a little and tried a few dragonsteins, and kind of unexpectedly, I hit one and held it firmly in a well placed dragon! it was sweet... I'm now wondering who's hit it besides me and Jon. I was so excited! awesome...

Why are some things considered farside and other things paradox?
Are symposiums given an add of their own and, if so, do I just have to remember which moves are simple and, therefore, don't get the add?
Frogs don't have spikey collars around their necks. So why does kermit?
Should I include some real sketchy huge moves I've hit in my routine? They'd help a lot and be real stylish but there's always a chance I won't be able to pull them out at the competition. Just so y'all know, these would include: parkwalk, pixie legover, smear, toe drifter, whirl, clipper symposium mirage. . .

Why didn't you ask these on Friday? Much easier to answer with demonstrations but I'll try on here.
#1 I think i know this one, but odds are ill mess it up with pdx somewhere, bc i still mess up pdx when you throw in spins, and other components b4 the dex. We'll get you clear definition evenutally. There is a difference and it just takes a minutes to recognize the difference and a lil longer to understand it.
#2 Yes its called a symposium add usually denoted by a (no plant while) in a jobs notation. Once you understand symple vs symposium you will just know the difference. with symposium you jump off, dex, and plant all with the same leg. But with symple you have to plant with the opposite leg, so it looks like a symposium until the very last moment.
I'll use Pdx Symposium whirl vs Pdx Symple Blender as an example. The PS whilr u set, switch feet, jump off that foot dex the bag and then plant with the dexing leg, then delay the bag with the initial suport leg from the set which never touches the ground after the set.
PSymple Blender you set, switch feet, jump off that foot, dex the bag, plant the leg you didnt jump off with, and then delay the bag with the dexing leg.
#3 Kermit is a man's hand up his ass at all times...
the ring keeps his composure?
#4. Absolutely, i'd keep them near the end and would only try a couple. But most likely your going to drop a couple times during your routine and the bonuses of landing a difficult move are better then the negatives of adding one more drop

BOO!
happy halloween!
I don't usually play alone, but I was so antsy from watching footbag videos I had to. Shredded in my basement which has a low ceiling and smells like mold . warmed up a bit, did 10 infinities (new record for me!) then just decided to hit stuff on my flipside that i could do well on my strong. i hit flip blender on my first try
then hit flip DLO after about 20 tries. after, i spent about a half hour trying to get a flip pixie set, something i've wanted forever. after not getting very far i was just fooling around and found that i could DATW out to in! i let out a little chuckle and tried double over downs. after 5 minutes i hit 2 or 3 of them cleanly and was so happy! right after that i hit a smear on my flipside and nearly crapped my shorts! i was grinning ear to ear and was high on footbag yet again.
cooled down with a gatorade in the shower (sorry matt i'm out of beer
)
and i'm still ecstatic! can't wait for kick til you're sick!

So yah got out my philosophy class an hour and a half early so I was able to head over with Steve and Tom to kick with Pat. Not too bad of a session overall. I intially intended to just skool some concepts and take it easy, but that never seems to work out when I'm in a group.. oh well. Hit a couple new moves, got the flipside dyno a lil bit active and hit pixie and pixie ss dyno, and hit pixie diving dyno (my first strong side 6 add) after 2 or 3 tries.
As a side note shred on a small amount of sleep when you are sick... really really sucks! I haven't been this tired in a very long time... Damn this sucks.

As aric said, the session was filled with dinosaurs... err.. dynos..
i hit a clean blizzard, after a few 'the's and a million drops off the foot. hit pixie and pixie ss dyno as well. everyone should listen to roni size reprazent and do mad shuffling.
on a side note i found out today that i don't have HIV

I didn't do anything huge. I hope everyone is starting to notice my osis-based strings and are pleased with that. I am. So let me recap from my perspective: Aric and I had a whirl battle to see who could hit one first while not having warmed up sufficiently. He won. Aric and Steve had a very short drifter battle. I have no idea who won. I think we all lost. I amazed everyone once again with my many spinning outside kicks, ducked from an osis, found a new way to begin a run, realized I could be close to neo set and a grifter (the foot touched it) , and couldn't hit smudge. . . soo w00t.
I really liked the music today. It gave me subconscious inspiration for some long, stylie runs. I should count the contacts of some of my long runs and get back to this post with that information.
Oh yeah. My best friend's cousin is Dave Mirra. Hmm.. And one other thing. This is the same "friend" that called footbag hacky sack earlier today. I threatened to end him. He knows I don't play like dat.

Sup.
I was just over at the site of the high school that will be the site for the Kick Till You're Sick II. It's quite an amazing school. I'm guessing we'll be in the gym but they have an auditorium that'd be really fun to play in. It's huge.

Steve says he has to be back to rochester by 6 PM on sunday, so if we leave early on sunday, say 9 AM or so, I think that leaves at least an hour and a half / 2 hours to kick with dave. I really want to stop and play with him, is anyone against it?

p.s.: this may be posted somewhere, but I just found out from the horse's mouth that FELIX ZENGER is going to be at Chilly Philly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy shit!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh man, that makes it so much better.....

So are we leaving tomorrow or saturday morning?
I'm fine with making a quick pitstop for a little bit of footbag. I mean I hardly get to play these days. And I like ice cream. And footbag. I like footbag with ice cream.
I hate the word football. . .

man, I wish I was at KYTS now... but i'll just have to wait until Chilly Philly for my next tourney. But my solitary shred continues unabated:
-torque bsos. never really tried them much but they aren't so hard...
-matador>butterfly x4
-swirling osis midstring
-atomic ducking dada was really close. THAT's a move that's really hard to do without falling down
-some other stuff
goodbye

Quarter Reflection:
Looking back on this summer I know that I have improved considerably: this summer at worlds, even after months of skooling, I had a lot of trouble hitting a tiltless string of 15 contacts. Now I can fairly easily hit a guiltless string of 20-25, and my flipside has definitely made a huge jump. Although my strings are longer, which makes me happy, I'm disappointed in that I haven't hit some of the things that I figure I should have hit, and my strings are not very unique. I have started to work on some new components, but I forget to use them or have trouble tying them into my runs. With each move/component I learn I tend to forget about another that I usually use. There are things that I've been meaning to work on, and during the summer while I was alone I could easily spend one session or more just working on something new. Now that I'm back to Rochester all I do is shred, which does lead to new combos/moves occassionally, but I also don't really dial in new concepts and moves.
During the next quarter I really want to get back to focusing on my (new)basics, and improve my string length/consistency more and start hitting more unique combos/strings. I also want to get at least some of these moves and concepts dialed on both sides.
Flip Spinning
Spinning Ducking
Whirls - Symposium, Paradox, and PS
Flip Quantum
Flip Pixie Ducking
Atomic
Frantic
Sailing
Illusions
DLO
Eggbeater
I want to try getting more time in skooling and less shreding for a while especially before chilly philly. Next quarter's schedule looks like it will support my need for time to skool and shred so hopefully I'll attain my new goals with in the next quarter.
