Twill Lavers

Post by Guest »

Are they any good? Ebay has a lot of them really cheap right now, and I need a new pair of lavers. I'm concerned mostly about the instep area, and if it's thick or not.

Btw, twill lavers look like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 81908&rd=1

EDIT: I'm not actually sure if they're called "Twill Lavers", I just remember hearing that term before.

dont get these. a nice novelty, but not a shred shoe. i played in jack kellers, and granted they werent modded, but the twill is so hard that its not like mesh or anything. its just solid. i think your better off with mesh.

what if you just mod them like leathers? wouldn't that be sufficent? it's not like the leather is soft right?

well, underneath is canvas. like, under mesh stuff. i guess you could do that. still, the overall shoe felt really stiff.

I think Chim scored a pair of those off ebay a few weeks ago. You might want to ask him.

Beware of shoebacca (the ebay user selling those twill lavers). He has above average shipping costs, expecially to Canada, which is something like 25 bucks, US dollars.

Completely rediculous

i agree with dave, last nite i played with jack and he tryed using the twill lavers that he has, he said that the bag sticks to his toe, so he went and changed them into his regular lavers and he played much better

that material is really wierd. It's not mesh or leather, I think its kinda like made with cotton and something else, from the feel of it. He modded them just like normal mesh lavers, took out the inside material and laced them up the same way. Maybe when they break in they'll be better to play with.
