Here is another survey half inspired by Rory Dawson(?)'s age thread and Ken Somolinos' survey thread. Feel free to answer as many questions as you feel comfortable with.

Music: Slower music (especially while injured) -- experimental drum'n'bass and trip hop -- I think it helps smooth my style.
Preferred Surface: A rubber floor would be key, though I have never played on one -- I play on slippery hardwood floor in my house and cement outside. I like the feel of cement -- I always dream of playing outside during winter.
Mods: (Good one, Dave!) I cut out the inner mesh on all surfaces and the walls around the toe box (not the eyelets). I think that's all. I also have Spenco sport insoles and laced my shoes the way World Footbag told me to.

Mods:Cut out canvas on inside and outside, cant get to the toe. Cut out bottom two eyelets. Colored insides and outsides green with sharpie, matches my heel and sole. Ripped out insole and padding, just threw in a gelly heel thing... no other insole, it gives my feet space.
