not much to note. haven't really played in a while. been drinking heavily this weekend (as the previous blog entry would explain). played today and hit foodprocessor bsos, which was cool. and surprisingly clean. it felt good, but i was pretty hung over from last nights partying that i didn't have the stamina to do any really long runs. i'll get down to business next week since i don't have any extra curricular activites going on.
i've been stitching alot recently, and running my bags through a series of tests. i've noticed some of my facil wears out faster as a hexagon then as a pentagon or vice versA, so i'm making some bags with 2 pieces of every color. 1 hex, 1 pent and seeing how they work out. then i'll be able to make bags better by knowing what shape the material is best sutied for. in the end i should have longer lasting bags. i am still working on a better filler, but i think i'll cross that bridge when i get to it.

not much to report, i haven't been in a playing mood much recently. don't know why, but i'm much happier to gorge my self on halloween candy. i played for about an hour tonight, and after another beer and a cigarette, i'll keep playing. i managed to break my ripwalk record with 44 on my first try. i probably could have kept going but i got a cramp at about 30 and dropped because it hurt to much to keep going.
i've decided to go to tokyo some time after footjam. me mam checked out the flights for me today and there are 2 daily. one from toronto and one from vancouver. woot!!! too bad i'll starve when i'm there! i have trouble eating lots of rice and noodles. long story. well, not that long. when i was 16 i picked my shit up and moved to montreal. i got an apartment with a couple friends and spent about 9 months out there, but i did it all on the money i already had saved up. for about the last 2 months i ate rice and noodles because that was all i could afford. and i lost about 30-40 pounds. and i gained it all back in about 1 week when me mam started cooking for me again. hurrah! thank god that's over.

edit: last week i did a new mod to my lavers that i saw in the post your shoes thread. johnny suderman had ripped every thing off the front of his shoe all the way down to the mesh. johnny has a good toe shuffle, so i fugured it must help. i just took off the leather strip and my toe game has fallen apart. i can't buy new lavers for some time. the lesson we should all learn from this story:
don't do experimental mods to your only pair of lavers!
johnny i blame you for this! no, seriously! i do.

well had another session. didn't feel like stringing or schooling so i slacked off and goofed around a bit, then realized i wasn't doing any thing worth while and decided i'd try some new stuff.
new stuff:
atomic blender (finally sealed it the feckin' fing!!!!)
flip tapping belnder
flip tapping torque (i think this is new, might not be tho...)
flip tapping dlo
gary coleman (FIRST TRY was super stoked!)

oldies but goodies:
blade runner
predator
food processor bsos

had a funny little run while i was screwing. around all a bunch of moves i never do. eggbeater> pixie ss clipper> swirl> spinning clipper> spinning pdx whirl> run. i don't really do alot of eggbeaters, or swirls, or spinning clippers, and spinning whirl mid string is unheard of. it was balls out tonight... well not really.

How is your flip stepping ducking? I always thought gauntlet x2 would be real pretty. Unrealistic request? How about I give you til April? Then maybe you could show it to me in Yoyogi Park.

I'm so sorry! When I did this mod I was just fucking around, the shoes I did this to were in no way my main shred shoes. I just wanted to see what would happen.

ken, my stepping ducking is, i would say, equal on both sides, but my torques are grabage. i will however work the crap out of them. i'll ask derek to hit it. his gauntlets are effortless.

johnny, i don't blame you for the mod thing, i just didn't want to blame my self for it . i honnestly thought it would help with bag feel and thought it might be like playing barefoot... not quite so. maybe if my shoes were tighter in the toes it would have worked. i am going to have to get new lavers now any way, because at this mornings session i ripped all the mesh away from the sole of the shoe on my right inside. it's about 3 inches long. i'm going to try and sew it back into the rubber untill some new shoes show up... i'll have to wait for the next pay check to order them because i just payed my car insurance for the next quarter!

oh yeah, i hit mind bender clean multipul times this morning, so i think alpine food processor should be hit within the week.

okay, i just went to bed, had a dream, and am now going to be awake for ever!

i was riding my bike down some sreet (i don't own a bike) when my wheel fell off. i looked around and i was right infront of this mansion, and it had a window light up on the top floor. i decided that who ever was home would be able to help me, so i went up to the door and when i got onto the front porch the door swung open and Vincent fucking Price was standing in it. he asked me to step inside. i did. he gave me a thermometer and i took my temperature. then he started shouting the ending to "thriller" and laughing like a mad man. i ran away from him screaming. while running away from him in his house he morphed (you know how that happens in dreams) into Michale Jackson (the black one), and he started chasing me, while singing and doing the thriller dance. i fell and the thermometer broke and cut my mouth. then i woke up.

fucked. up.

i'm gonna go play footbag really hard untill i am too tired to dream!

edited for spelling due to being really really freaked out.

Oh man, that reminds me of the wacky dream I had yesterday 8O

I'll sum it up, seeings how I'm tired and I want to get some sleep. Anyways, it was myself vs the Hackrifice crew in a life-like game of Goldeneye for the N 64. Since it was 3 - 1 (I only remember that you, Erik and Derek in that dream, but there is someone else who somehow showed up at some point and shot me) I had the ability to fly. So here I am, soaring through the Temple arena while being shot at by guns that seemed to come from everywhere. The next thing I know, you guys are sitting around watching me and we fly away on the Starship Enterprise :?

I was quite baffled when I awoke.

yeah the guy who showed up and shot you was probably mark leeman. he drops in unexpectedly from time to time, hangs out for a bit, and then vanishes again and it's a bit of a kick in the ass. interesting how dreams and reality some times aren't too far off.

what size do you wear andrew?

I have two pairs of spare lavers that would love to help a buddy out.

I love reading words you write, keep writing words for me to read.

okay, i had such a blast playing with josh last night. it was awesome. we played for a good 3 hours josh, jess, and i. josh was a little rusty and his string length had dropped a lot, but the style was still there. and he played in lavers for i think the second time ever. he broke his tevas and bought some teva knock offs and hates them with a fiery passion. any way. jess hit pixie bsos, and far legover for the first time. she really needs some lavers though. seriously. any way, it was such a good time. as to what i said i was going to hit...

torch r rack - yes
food processor bsos -no (i forgot and didn't even try)
spinning pdx blender mid string -yes (and it was from osis!)
gyro blender mid string - yes
ps whirl> ps whirl - no wasn't setting very well out of them
alpine food processor - no (off the foot though!)
all 16 consecutive pixie toe>toe double dex tricks - no, but very close, i think i got 12.
and a run with a drifter in it. - yes and it was bsos, woot!

other notables: a run of 30+ contacts with lots and lots of uniques mostly all shuffle but with a couple of whirls, spins and ducks.
blurry whirl> spinning pdx whirl
ps whirl> whirlwind
mind bender> handcatch to end a string
atomic torque
and had gangsta party really damn close!
i hit the spinning blender and josh asked if i could hit gangsta party. i said no, but i'd give it a shot, and got the dex first try. it was like "woah", so he asked me to try a few more times. i was getting the dex consistantly, and even got it to my foot, but no luck with it sticking.

anyway it was really cool shredding with josh again! he's alot of fun to kick with. he's probably gonna come out to the demos next weekend! hurrah!

nothing really going on right now. takin' a break, eatin' a kit-kat... well no kit-kat, but i am taking a break.

was doing alot of atomic work and fairy work and my hip flexor is hurting me again, so it's break time. as well, i was working blurry whirling swirl like a bat outta hell last night (footed it twice but couldn't stick it) either way i woke up middle of the night last night to take a piss and noticed some fairly noticable swelling and some very noticable pain. gonna work my hip flexor exercises and give my body some recovery time, this weekend will be a blast. i really should get all the info. and we really should have some sort of plan, since i know it's been announced on at least 2 of the major radio stations in the city. oh crap, and what ab out our booth? are we gonna sell any thing? what the hell are we doing???? we could have scored some serious cash, put it towards helsinki or something, had we though about this a little better. we don't even have any routines or any thing. we are so fucked. oh well, it'll be fun either way. i'm tempted to bring my tv and dvd player to show some flicks on, butn i don't know about safety/ mobility/ anything for this demo, so i think it's a no go. i really want to show sick03 or The Move and some of our vides if it's possible... i think that would be the bomb!

edit: edited for spelling because i'm drunk... again.

edit 2: on czech beer no less! urquell pilsner is the bomb. if it works for vasek... it'll probably just fuck me up...

edit 3: i notice i have attained newbie status... sweet. Brad K. is hilzarious with a "z"!

what are you getting all ready for?

am I retarded? did I miss a blatant detail?

ahh well - make people like footbag!

I also wanted to tell you that I have taken it upon myself to start drilling like a miner because i think it's time to quit whining about having shitty sessions.

Today felt like the first big day of payoffs - I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for being a great footbag role-model Andrew!

Haha. Yeah...I don't really know anything either. I hope it's not for too long, I have sooo much crap to do this weekend (25 paintings, an essay a HUUUGE drawing project and a history project... >______<)
I think Joel said it starts at 2? Derek said he can come Saturday but isn't sure about Friday -- and that is the first I've talked to Derek in AGES. It was Joel's birthday on the 30th -- his mom invited me to a surprise dinner, but I had lots of homework and midterms then too :(
See you on Friday! (Can I get a ride? >____<)
