http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/stories/PO0410/S00194.htm - We imprison medicinal cannabis users.

http://www.freezaoui.org.nz/ - And Algerian democrats.

http://atheism.about.com/b/a/082139.htm - And we have our right wing christian moralists in some abundance aswell (Christians in general please don't take offence; Brian Tamaki and Destiny inc are unbearable).

How good is the land of the long white cloud? It's great. I'd rather live here than anywhere else in the world, but we're far from perfect.

Pastor Brian Tamariki of Density Church today issued a demand to the Minister of Education for "the Science of Flat-Earthism, as taught by the Bible, to be taught in all Secondary School science classes in New Zealand." "Jesus Christ said 'the truth will make you free.' We're simply asking the Government to allow our children to hear the truth, not the lies of Round-earthism," said Brian Tamariki to reporters. "For too long we have been indoctrinated and brainwashed by the lies of Round-earthism, which as is well-known has been completely discredited by Quantum Physics."

"If the Earth were spinning round and round at thousands of miles an hour, as the heretics say, you would expect things to fly off the planet, like coins fly off the car dashboard as you go round the corner. But you don't see that, do you? And if the Earth was round, what would happen when a person from England visited a person from New Zealand? They would have the opposite sense of 'up' and 'down' and fall right off the planet, wouldn't they? It is only when we appreciate the scientific approach of the Bible that we avoid the insurmountable problems of unscientific Round- earthism."

Word.

I have not travelled out of Aus/NZ yet so I have little basis for comparison. But from what I have read/heard it's pretty damn fine 8) I like it anyhow.

K after looking around his site my only thought is that he's somehow living a life that is sorta like a twisted rebelion against religion. This guy is all over the place he has no continuity, he's just causing shit in the name of his church, no one's that dumb, come on. He seems to make up these crazy assumtions from the bible so intelligent people look at him and think lower about religion in general.

sorry for the triple post but here's what im talking about, it's gotta be fake, read on: http://www.densitychurch.org/thepassion.html

specifically [quote]
Unlike many other critics of the film, it is not the violence contained in the film nor the charges of anti-Semitism that Pastor Brian is objecting to
.....
Pastor Brian offered as an example The Passion's portrayal of the death of Judas.

"This is a classic example of what I'm getting at!" exclaimed Pastor Brian. "Mel only scraped the surface on this scene, by only including action from the account of Judas' death which is contained in the Gospel of Matthew. In Matthew you get Judas repenting of betraying Jesus, throwing back the blood money he got from the Jewish priests and hanging himself in remorse. And then the field gets named "The Field of Blood" because the priests later buy the field with the blood money Judas had thrown back to them. All very well and good. But, in Luke, we don't read about Judas repenting at all! Quite to the contrary, Judas doesn't hand back his money, but Judas himself buys the "Field of Blood". And this time the field is not named after the blood of Jesus who Judas betrayed, but after the blood of Judas that was spilt in the field! Luke does not even mention Judas's hanging, but instead tells us that Judas died by falling over in the field that he had bought, his bowels gushing out on the ground!"

"With all the violence in The Passion, I can't for the life of me work out why Mel would want to leave out the bowel-gushing scene from Luke!" exclaimed Brian Tamariki.

When questioned how these two obviously contradictory accounts of Judas' death could both be portrayed in the same film, Pastor Brian was adamant this posed no difficulty.

"No worries at all, brother!" said Pastor Brian. "To reconcile the two Gospels - both of them being the inspired Word of God - you just needed to film Judas as attempting to hang himself, but while he is doing so, the rope breaks, and so he would also fall down in the field! So both are true. And the other little discrepancies should be handled in much the same way."

Yea, that site's a parody.

Pastor Brian seems a twisted parody of evangelicists to me anway.
