Triple Mirage (Triage)

Post by Jeremy »

Triple Mirage (Triage)
CLIP >> OP IN [DEX] > SAME IN [DEX] > SAME IN [DEX] > OP TOE [DEL]

I hit triage (clip set triple mirage) recently and I thought I'd share some tips! :D

Firstly I think this move is all about technique and while some speed is needed - it's not to important. These are the moves I can hit already that I think help me. It's probably possible to hit the move without being able to hit these - but I think you should spend the time schooling these instead. I think hitting a new move is all about using your brain. Getting good at the new move is all about hard work!

symp whirl, furious set, blazing set, whirr, downtime/toe/barrage

Ok basically you start off with a blazing set - although it feels to me more like the start of a furious set. I try and lift my knee as high as I can while doing this - since this means you can set the bag higher and thus have more time to do the move. You basically do a symp whirl - but while doing it plant the setting leg. After dexing the bag immediatly do another whirl dex. This second one should be tighter and closer to your body. Follow around the bag into a mirage. So the first two dexes are leggy and the last one is hippy. It may feel a lot like whirr bailed to a mirage at the end - or it may feel like a blazing muted ss barrage. You need to keep the bag to the outside of the dexing knee on the first two dexes.

Good luck!

That trick sounds like it would kill your knee if you did it improperly :?

Nonetheless - bling bling that is the shiznat!

Yucky...

Triage is the devil, as is a ton of other moves.

Props on hitting that. I never thought that I should have hit whirr before I tried triage though...LOL.

Disclaimer: I can only hit this trick on one side, and I by no means have mastered it.

I just wanted to chime in that I don`t really think of it in the same way Jeremy does. I mentally think of it like a high furious set (so the kind you use for fury, not janiwalker) where you meld the 2nd dex with a tight mirage. I find its very important to not lean back, but stay perfectly straight. I do agree that its not as fast as it looks.

I think of my dex leg as being straight up and down throughout the trick. I don`t think of it as whirling at all. Also, `fall` into the last mirage to buy time.
